I was lucky enough to spend a day with a bunch free runners a couple years ago and watch them barrel over landmarks and scale walls in Canada’s capital city. I was always in awe of them and don’t understand how you can’t be. On the surface, parkour looks like athletes doing fun tricks but the whole message behind it is to develop altruism by overcoming physical boundaries — ie building self-confidence by getting from one spot to another in the most efficient way possible.
In this Will Sutton-shot video, parkour enthusiasts seamlessly leap across gates and jump off high ridges in front of beautiful landscapes. If you’re not in awe, you’re probably doing something wrong.
When it comes down to it, just BEING a competitor at the Olympics is an impressive feat. Still, I understand how emotional it must be when you work your entire life to earn a gold medal and it just doesn’t work out. That’s why it’s brutal watching these two athletes. They’re formerly teammates but at the Olympics they’re competitors. The competition worked out for one of them but not the other, and you really feel the run of emotions athletes go through in this one interview. It must hurt at the time but really, being there is a huge accomplishment.

We’re so over Gotye covers because the more we hear, the more we’re tired of the song. But we’ll take this mashup of people doing some pretty impressive stunts to Walk Off The Earth’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” (which, BTW, is an impressive cover itself).
The talents were filmed all around the world and include people doing everything from snowboarding to breakdancing to diving. It was filmed for MeTheOne, a global talent discovering project based in Spain.
If you’re having a depressing day, this video just might restore your faith in humanity. Just a little. And if you go to their official YouTube page, you can get a list of the people in the video.
Watch it here:
One of Tiger Woods’ mistresses, Jaimee Grubbs, continues to whore herself out to professional athletes. However she seems to be striking out.
E! Online reports the model was partying at a Beverley Hills hot spot where she was spotted hustling pro athletes. Unfortunately nobody was buying.
“Jaimee made a beeline for a table full of [Anaheim] Ducks and [L.A.] Kings NHL hockey players,” an eyewitness tells E! Online. “She walked up, and the guys were just like, ‘Can we help you?’ She said, ‘I’m a model. My name is Jaimee.’ ”
She later explained that she appeared in Maxim as a model, but the guys were not interested.
Grubbs apparently then tried to blend in with the puck-slinging posse. “She suddenly just started making herself a drink,” our spy says. ”They asked her to leave.”
Afterwards one of the guys recognized her and was overheard saying “Oh, s–t, I think that was the Tiger girl. I don’t want to be associated with that.”
