It might be hard to believe but The Backstreet Boys are celebrating 20 years together, and they finally have a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame to prove it. Seeing as my life literally revolved around these five guys as a kid, here’s what I think are their best and most memorable hits.
We’ve Got it Going On
“We’ve Got it Going On” was the video that introduced the world to The Backstreet Boys and what an introduction is was. Basketball games, car washes and matching outfits, how could we not fall in love with them?
Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)
Taking inspiration from various classic horror staples like Dracula and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, “Backstreet’s Back” has become one of their most memorable videos. Who doesn’t break into the dance the second they hear the chorus?
As Long as You Love Me
Before Justin Bieber, The Backstreet Boys were making girls swoon in the video for “As Long as You Love Me.” I, for one, was obsessed with Brian, who actually met his wife on the set of the video.
Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
Although he’s from Detroit, Big Sean loves Canada. He made one of his first television appearances EVER on MuchMusic at age 14. Coincidentally, Sean also likes Canadians. He just finished working with Justin Bieber on “As Long As You Love Me” and told us he’s also a big fan of Drake. He told @Jordans_life about his upcoming album and another potential collaboration with Bieber.

In Justin Bieber’s video for “As Long As You Love Me” actor Michael Madsen, who plays his GORG girlfriend’s dad, wants to break up their relationship. We’re not sure why since Justin is a total charmer. In fact, when Madsen tells Bieber off at the beginning of the video, he gets a few things wrong:
1) Justin Bieber is no mere boy. I mean he is, yes, but have some respect Madsen, he’s a MAN (duh). This storyline is decidedly more grown up than those we’re used to. It’s filled with forbidden love, family conflict and violent repercussions. Bieber is certainly evolving.
2) Madsen says: “I know what type of guy you are. Once upon a time I used to be the same thing. You know what that means? That means one day you’ll leave her for someone else, and break her heart.” To that I say: Like you know anything Madsen. I’ve never met Justin personally but I can assure you he’s not one of those scummy guys that would jet off for no reason at all. I can tell. Plus, doesn’t he prove his dedication when he risks personal injury to stay with his girlfriend?
3) The biggest lie of all is when Madsen claims he doesn’t want to know Justin Bieber. I mean, come on, we know you’re trying to play the tough father figure and all but EVERYONE wants to know JB. #AmIRight?
Even though Madsen gets a few obvious things wrong, we’ll forgive him because he seems like an intimidating guy (has anyone seem Reservoir Dogs?) and he’s definitely an amazing actor (again, has anyone seen Reservoir Dogs?).
In the end, things kind of go astray for Madsen when his daughter chooses Romeo Justin over her father, but we’re left with a bit of a cliffhanger.
The Anthony Mandler-directed mini-film features Big Sean. The track is taken from his fourth studio album Believe.

Earlier today, Justin Bieber FINALLY gave his Beliebers what they’ve been waiting for after America’s Got Talent screwed us over..but that’s beside the point. His second single off Believe “As Long As You Love Me,” features Big Sean and has already been blasting across the radio waves and rising up the iTunes charts.
The minute-long preview for the music video shows a very different side of JB than we’ve seen from the past, and involves a confrontation with actor Michael “You Don’t Wanna Mess With Me” Madsen, who you might remember from Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill. Madsen plays the very mafia-looking father figure of Justin’s love interest but that doesn’t seem to scare him away. Things get a bit feisty and words get exchanged, leaving us with a bit of a cliffhanger. Sidenote: Did anyone else notice the resemblance to Romeo and Juliet when Justin and his forbidden love ran away?
Although we didn’t get to see Big Sean’s rap in this sneak preview — WOAH DERE, I’m getting a little too ahead of myself — I’m certain his part will tie in perfectly.
You can watch the whole music video, or should I say short film this Wednesday and I have some advice: make sure to watch the video with a friend and have a cold water bottle handy. Things may get a little too dangerous if you’re home alone and you happen to faint, hyperventilate, fall, etc. I predict this video will convert any haters, if for some strange reason they still exist.

I’ve never seen my timeline go so wild in my life. Justin, be aware that your Beliebers are ready:
They go by the name of Pentatonix. If you were to look them up in the dictionary, the definition would say genious — because that’s exactly what this cover is. The group brought together two major hits (that you’re probs humming right now), Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” and Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake.” Pentatonix seem to have that a cappella swag, that proves each member of the group has unique talent.
From winning NBC’s show The Sing-Off in November, they’ve continued to win over tons of fans with their modern sound and melodies. With over 13 million views on their YouTube channel, including past covers such as “Moves Like Jagger” and “We Are Young,” Pentatonix has their debut EP coming out on iTunes tomorrow!

It’s clear Justin Bieber had one intention with his forthcoming album Believe: to whisper sweet nothings into your ears about how he’s the swaggiest suitor ever and no question, would love to die in your arms. It’s basically an audio manual named: Here Are All The Reasons I Should Be Your Boyfriend Even Though My Smile Is Reason Enough.
“As Long As You Love Me,” featuring Big Sean, is on the same wavelength, as he insists he can survive poverty, homelessness and starvation if you love him. Well, we’re feeling the same way JB. We can totally survive that massive exam, meeting — whatever — if you proclaim your undying love for us.
The track is now available on iTunes, but in the meantime you can listen to a snippet in his album sampler, below.
Listen to the sampler here (it’s the third song):

For a good portion of yesterday I heard a soft, high pitched buzz that I immediately dismissed as the echo of girls screaming in Oslo, Norway. As we know, Justin Bieber nearly caused a state of emergency when arrived in the city and later performed a surprise show.
It was all part of his promotional tour for the album Believe and he did not disappoint. JB performed past and future songs. Two of his new songs are “All Around The World,” featuring Ludacris, and “As Long As You Love Me,” which makes me think of the Backstreet Boys track (though it sounds nothing like it).
He also performed the new track “Be Alright,” which is basically the song you dream about him singing to you at a romantically lit dinner. Now you can watch it on repeat. You’re welcome.
