It is a sad day for anybody who enjoyed the countless hours of entertainment from Megaupload. The FBI charged the operators of the site with copyright infringement and “conspiracy to commit racketeering.”

And here’s big news, Alicia Keys is connected to this controversy. Her husband Swizz Beats was revealed as the acting CEO of the company, who was brought on by founder Kim Dotcom. Beatz was partially responsible for the track “Mega Song,” which showed famous artists supporting the service.

It is unclear which seven Megaupload employees are to be arrested, and the extent to which Swizz Beats has been involved.

A website is claiming Jersey Shore’s Snooki was arrested in New Jersey with a ton of marijuana. Snooki claims the story is a complete lie, and she is very pissed.

Here’s a small problem with the story – Snooki wasn’t even in New Jersey when the alleged arrest happened.

Snooki’s rep tells TMZ, “The report is 100% false. As Ms. Polizzi’s legal counsel is currently investigating this matter, we cannot comment any further except to assure the public and Ms. Polizzi’s fans that this story is a complete fabrication.”

Oh boy! Soulja Boy better work that orange jumpsuit. He may be wearing it for a while.

The 21-year-old rapper whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was arrested this morning in Temple, Georgia for weed possession.

TMZ reports cops say Soulja was in a car with four other men and a ton of marijuana. All five men were arrested on the spot.

It’s also alleged that there were guns in the car, but police have not confirmed this.

It sure is a coincidence he’s arrested a few days before the release of his Soulja Boy: The Movie DVD. Or is it?

Another day – another DMX arrest. This time he was arrested for allegedly driving 102 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.

TMZ reports Arizona cops pulled over DMX last night. And to make matters worse, he was driving with a suspended license.

He was booked for speeding, reckless driving, and the suspended license. He has posted bond and has been released.

Yes you read that title correctly. Big Boi was arrested today in Miami for drug possession. He was arrested with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

TMZ reports the substances were ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and Viagra. All charges are felonies.

Border control dogs identified the substances while he was exiting a cruise ship. Also Big Boi didn’t have a prescription for the Viagra.

We can understand his embarrassment regarding the Viagra. It’s hard (no pun intended) talking to a Doctor about his downstairs. We sympathize completely with his need to pick it up on the black market.

Ah well. Maybe it’s just easier to talk to your doctor.

Coheed and Cambria bassist Michael Todd obviously has a dangerous addiction to Oxycontin. Todd was arrested in Attelboro, MA after threatening a pharmacist at a local Walgreens.

TMZ reports that Todd showed the pharmacist a text message on his phone saying he had a bomb, and that he demanded Oxycontin. He made away with 6 bottles of the medication.

Unfortunately his getaway was not well planned. Todd took off in a taxi, where police tracked the cab to the Comcast Center where Coheed and Cambria were set to open for Soundgarden.

Todd was arrested and is being held on $10,000 bail and will be arraigned Monday morning. He is being charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of prescription narcotics.

Luckily for Soundgarden, this was the last show they were scheduled to play with Coheed and Cambria.

Twitter founder Noah Everett has found yet another application for Twitter  - a handy platform to document getting arrested.

Everett Tweeted early Tuesday morning that he was in the back of a police car getting arrested. Apparently he was stopped for being naked in public. Understandably, these pictures spread through Social Media like wildfire. Amazing technology!

It seems Audrina just can’t give up those bad boys.

TMZ reports that the reality television star’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Corey Bohan was arrested late on Thursday night for public intoxication.

Reportedly, the Hermosa Beach Police Department in California charged the 29-year-old Australian with a misdemeanour, after which he spent approximately eight hours in jail before his $500 bail was posted.

Patridge, who made her name known as one of Lauren Conrad’s co-stars on The Hills, took to her Twitter account the following morning.

“I absolutely hate what Jack Daniels does to people,” the 26-year-old Californian said. “Jack is a bad, bad man!”

I’ve caught a couple of episodes of Patridge’s newest reality venture, Audrina, and she genuinely seems as though she tries to see the best in everyone – namely her bickering mother and sister. But then again, this is also the same woman who dated a belching, grimy Justin Bobby for several years, so maybe she’s a little too kind.

Even so, I hardly think blaming your boyfriend’s embarrassing behaviour on alcohol is acceptable when said boyfriend is almost 30. Here’s hoping Bohan had enough cash to post his own bail.

Isn’t he always kind of drunk and high? Andy Dick was arrested last night in Temecula, CA after cops say he was acting disorderly. Police say he was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

TMZ reports he former “Celebrity Rehab” star was taken to a nearby jail … where he was booked at 9:48 PM. Bail was set at $500.

It’s a celebrities-being-arrested kind of day.

TMZ reports that Flavor Flav was arrested in Las Vegas this weekend, after the ‘rapper’ was pulled over for a routine traffic violation, when the cop noticed there were four warrants out for his arrest.

Las Vegas cops say Flav, aka William Jonathan Drayton, Jr., was pulled over at 10:57 p.m. Friday night. When the cop ran Flav’s name in the system, he learned the rapper was a wanted man stemming from several prior brushes with the law.

According to law enforcement, Flav never settled up with the court in four separate automobile-related matters, including driving without proof of insurance, a parking violation and two cases of driving without a license.

Flav was taken to a nearby jail, where he was booked, posed for a brand new mug shot and was eventually released.

Yikes. Good luck, Flav.

Lindsay Lohan’s court date finally arrived on Friday, and it wasn’t pretty.

The court date over the infamous stolen necklace did not go well at all. In fact, Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail for violating her probation. Mugshot, prison cells, orange jumpsuit… Deja Vu, much?

Judge Stephanie Sautner has also sentenced Lohan to 480 hours of community service. But it gets better: 360 of those hours must be completed at the Downtown Women’s Center, so that Lindsay can see how needy women have to live. The remaining 120 hours will be served at the L.A. County morgue. Tough? Yes. But does she need to be taught the hard way? You bet.

Lohan was taken into custody on Friday afternoon and taken to the basement of the courthouse for booking. Lindsay’s lawyer will immediately file an appeal, which would allow her to post bond, since the case involves a misdemeanor violation.

Judge Sautner explained that Lindsay should have called the jewelry store and notified the owners about the “missing” necklace sooner. Instead, Lohan waited several weeks and returned the necklace after learning that the cops were about to raid her house.

Sautner was said to be influenced by the surveillance video, which she saw for the first time in court on Friday. Sautner also agreed with prosecutor Danette Meyers, who argued Lohan used her friend Patrick as a decoy to distract the clerk.

I feel bad, but hopefully these repeated jail stints will somewhat cause her to get on the better path. Girl needs to be taught.

Nicolas Cage was arrested earlier this morning in New Orleans for alleged domestic abuse, reports Perez Hilton.

He was booked by the police at 6:33 am on one count of domestic abuse and one count of disturbing the peace. He is apparently still in custody.

According to sources, Cage was spotted violently shouting at his wife Alice early this morning on the streets of the Big Easy. The police were called by a passing cab driver, who additionally saw Cage push Alice into the street.

When the police arrived, it was clear that Cage was “very drunk,” but the cops were willing to let the incident slide, so long as he and Alice just went home. That’s when Cage allegedly dared the cops to arrest him and his behavior was disrespectful enough that the cops obliged him. He was carted off and charged with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace.

The Oscar winner faces $10,000 bond for the abuse charge and $1,000 for disturbing the peace. He’s tentatively scheduled to appear back in court May 31, though as it stands, no stay-away order has been issued.

He’s always been sort of a weird guy, so this news isn’t anything new. His mugshot definitely shows that he wasn’t in the right state of mind – some people just don’t agree with alcahol. Celebrities believe they are above the law, which is ridiculous, so I’m glad he got some repercussions for his actions.

WWE legend Shad Gaspard was arrested this weekend in Ohio…for jaywalking!

You read that correctly!

What’s worse is that Gaspard is claiming the incident was a case of racial profiling due to his unnecessarily aggressive treatment.

Apparently Gaspard was stopped as he was walking to the Arnold Fitness EXPO in Columbus. As a show of good-natured compliance, Shad got to his knees, at which point the cop allegedly shoved his face into the dirt and cuffed him.

If this is true, it’s WAY over the top…but this is only Shad’s side of the story after all.

Gaspard’s official charges are “resisting arrest and obstructing official business.”

Columbus must be a HOTBED of crime if police regularly arrest people for jaywalking!

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler were arrested this morning in West Hollywood, reports TMZ. Christina was arrested for public intoxication and Rutler was arrested for driving under the influence.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Rutler’s bail was set at $30,000.

Law enforcement sources tell us Aguilera appeared to be “extremely intoxicated” and was “unable to take care of herself.”

However, the source adds, “If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.”

TMZ reports cops pulled over Rutler after they saw him driving erratically.

We are thinking of nominating Christina for mother of the year. I mean she’s a class act. Has her boyfriend move into the same home occupied by her husband and child, and now this little mishap. Christina we like your style!

You have to be careful around Justin Bieber, otherwise you will feel the wrath of his bodyguard. One of Justin’s bodyguards was arrested in NYC this week for allegedly roughing up a photographer.

Kenneth Hamilton, Bieber’s bodyguard, is accused of shoving a photographer up against a parked car on November 26, reports the NY Post.

Hamilton issued a statement at a NYC police station on Wednesday, and will be appearing in court.

Judson Birza, the winner of Survivor season 21 which took place in Nicaragua, was arrested yesterday Wednesday due to his strange behavior that led authorities to believe that he was under the influence of a controlled substance.

TMZ reports that Birza was riding his skateboard around in the street, which is illegal, with prompted the police to approach him. The authorities claim that Birza was acting very unusual which was most likely due to some sort of drug. He was then arrested and thrown in jail. His mugshot is pretty entertaining, he looks quite pleasant with that huge grin (probably still high).

Additionally, Birza booked for a separate DUI warrant and a probation violation. He’s currently being held on $37,000 bail. That’s a large sum for the Survivor.

Hopefully he’ll come out on top of this one too…

Rapper Waka Flocka did the honorable thing on Monday and turned himself into police reports TMZ. So why did he turn himself in? According to his Mom, “He didn’t want to run.”

Police searched his home on December 16 in Georgia and found a variety of illegal items. Consequently an arrest warrant was issued on him. Waka is being charged with the following:

– Possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce
– Possession of firearm by convicted felon
– Possession of hydrocodone
– Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
– Violation of probation for driving on a suspended license
– Violating Georgia’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act”

He is currently being held on a $31,950 bond.

Another day, another dollar, and another DMX arrest. As sure as the sun will come up, we are sure DMX will get arrested.

MyFoxPhoenix.com reports that DMX was arrested at 6:00pm last night for a parole violation. The violation was not checking in with his parole officer.

DMX has a probation revocation hearing set for November 24.

The balance of the universe was shattered late last week as Michael Lohan revealed that he was in some legal troubles – this time with a random woman from Montana.

Pop Eater reports that an arrest warrant has been issued for Lohan in New York State after it was discoved that he owes money in a Montana paternity suit.

When reached for a quote, Lohan said “I was on parole, and was not allowed to leave New York. So the judge in Motana held me in default, and ordered me to pay child support. I asked for three patermity tests, and even Maury Povich asked her to do one with me, but she refused all three.”

Oh snap! You know you’re in trouble when not even Maury Povich can contain the situation!

Lohan begrudgingly began to pay child support to avoid more legal trouble, but had some issues after sending the second payment late. “[The payment was late] because of election day,” He explains. “But I did send it, and I have receipts. So because I was a couple of days late, they issued a warrant. How sick.”

Hmm, this doesn’t sound like the whole story Mr. Lohan… Since when do you have enough cash in the bank to start paying off random alleged babymamas that refuse to take a paternity test? Sounds suspicious to us!

Arrest warrants have been issued for actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid after they both failed to appear in court for charges of llegally squatting at a home.

The Huffington Post reports Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said the $50,000 warrants were issued after the couple failed to appear for an arraignment Monday on a felony vandalism charge.

The charges stem after the Quaids were accused of living in a home they previously owned, and causing more than $5,000 in damages.

The Quaids seem to have a history of missing court appearances after missing court dates related to charges of defrauding a housekeeper. Oh cousin Eddie, when will you learn?
