Hey Cody’s Angels, we’re doing you a total solid here and giving you the chance to win a SIGNED POSTER from Cody Simpson. Here’s the deal. We’ve come up with a bunch of tantalizing questions for Cody and we want you to vote on which one you want us to ask, through MobioINsider. We’re going to ask that question at our live interview on Saturday. Click HERE to enter the contest.

Sometimes we interview bands who shock us. Surprisingly, not all musician’s personalities reflect the sound of their music. It leaves you wondering, where did this music come from? Then there are bands like GROUPLOVE. From the moment we met these lovely people, it was obvious that their personalities are definitely present in the music. So this interview was relatively flawless, even if they were running on very little sleep. Follow @andPOP for new episodes of Making Waves every week!
Want to meet Cody Simpson? No problem, andPOP is running a contest for Toronto residents to meet the Aussie this weekend (watch to find out more). We also talk about a pivotal part of The Hunger Games that was overlooked (hint it’s centered on washrooms). Finally there’s a birthday in the office (shucks, it’s mine) but I didn’t expect a surprise on air!

In the third part of andPOP’s exclusive “Postcards From The Road,” Selena Gomez gives you a hint about what her favourites gifts from her fans are. She’s been given everything from necklaces to bracelets to jewelry boxes, but scrapbooks are her absolute favourite.
“They kind of describe what they feel about my music,” she said. “I love scrapbooks, those are my favourites.”
This clip is only the third of five web videos from “Postcards from the Road,” so watch for them exclusively on andPOP!! Make sure to like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter so you’ll be the first to know when the next videos are up.

“Princess of China” — Coldplay ft. Rihanna
Princess of China, the much-anticipated collaboration between Coldplay and Rihanna, was finally released last week with a dramatic, eye-popping music video. I never thought Rihanna and Chris Martin’s voices could complement each other so well but RiRi impressively holds her own with the alternative rockers. The R&B songstress looks amazing in her sexy Asian-inspired outfits, and Chris Martin is a dreamboat as usual, playing Rihanna’s star cross lover. With flying ninja sword fights, desert landscapes, and some amazing on screen chemistry between Chris and Rihanna (hopefully Gwyneth Paltrow wasn’t too hard on Chris), the video definitely does the song justice.
“Run” — Flo-Rida ft. RedFoo
Once again, our friend Flo-Rida has taken an 80s classic and turned it into a sexualized pop hit (“Right Round,” anyone?) His new single “Run,” featuring LMFAO’s RedFoo, is a four-minute club banger that samples Bryan Adams’ “Run to You.” It includes Rida’s usual catchy hooks that will get stuck in your head for days, and of course, the chorus is ridden with some clever sexual innuendos. Somewhere, I’m sure Bryan Adams is shaking his head in shame, but the song makes me want to pour myself a shot, throw on some heels, and go out dancing, so it’s an A+ in my books!
“Spectrum (Calvin Harris remix)” — Florence + the Machine Read more…
B.o.B remembers his first kiss, and he’s pretty sure it had tongue. We’re not going to tell you how young he was (watch the clip for that) but he must have been a playground heartbreaker. In andPOP’s second episode of Way Back When, B.o.B also recalls the craziest house party he’s ever been to and even has a clip to show us. It involves a roof and a pool.

Justin Bieber has a new fragrance coming out next week and asked his Beliebers to remix their own version of his hit single “Boyfriend” to “Girlfriend” (the name of the new scent)! Even though he only ends up picking one winner (OMB was it you?) and sharing some in his upcoming NBC special, here’s some of our favourites we mashed together in a supercut! Swaggy.
Tyler Medeiros is in a pretty good spot right now. If you ignore the fact that his two cousins are huge Canadian pop icons, Tyler hasn’t really needed their help. With a newly inked record deal with Flo Rida and a spot on his tour, Tyler is really proving himself. Unfortunately, even though he’s got such a banging career at his age, in the eyes of the law he’s just a regular teenager. Which means he has to take his drivers test just like everyone else.

Selena Gomez has the best fans ever. No really. Even Selena thinks so, though admittedly, she might be biased. In a Canadian EXCLUSIVE five-part web series for andPOP called “Postcards from the Road,” she gushes about her devoted fan base.
Each of the webisodes display different aspects of her South American tour with The Scene, including intimate behind the scenes looks and clips of her actual concerts.
“My fans are really, really passionate,” she says in the clip. “I can have 10 people or I can have 10,000. And it just doesn’t matter the number,” she said. “They’re all really incredible people that really want to make a difference. That really care about the music. That care about each other. And to see them travel miles and miles to different countries, different places just to hear me play the same songs over and over again is really special.”
D’aw. It’s too easy to be obsessed with Selena. This clip is only the first of five web videos from “Postcards from the Road,” so watch for them exclusively on andPOP over the next two weeks!! Louis Tomlinson proved yet again why he’s so crushable when he surprised his girlfriend Eleanor Calder just before her exam. I mean, the guy is busy enough jet-setting around the world and performing to screaming fans, but he still fit in time to wish his girlfriend good luck on her exam… in person.
It appears his presence served more than one purpose. Naturally, he was a good luck charm but Calder joked on Twitter that he helped wake her up. Calder goes to Manchester University and has been dating Tomlinson for seven months.

Justin Bieber getting sh*t-faced? We could have told you that. The Wanted revealed to us a while ago that they might’ve had a drink with the popstar. He’s underage but considering the industry he’s in and the simple fact that he’s a teenager, we’re not surprised. He told GQ that he’s never lost control, but he has had a beer. “For me, it’s just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I’ve had a beer, like, before…But I never get out of control,” he said.
The Biebs looked dapper in the spread and opened up about his evolution from boy to man in the interview. Bieber is in that grey-zone right now where he has to make that transition from kid to a “swaggy adult.” And he demands respect.
He also defends Kim Kardashian in the article after catching one of his business advisors ragging on her. You guys are so mean, bro…. People say she doesn’t do anything; she actually does do stuff…. She works hard,” he said. We don’t necessarily agree, but it’s nice that he stuck up for her.

Every kid has a way to make a few dollars when they’re young. The difference is not many kids are hustlers at the age of nine. Jeezy was one of those unique kids that knew he was destined for big things at a very young age. Ironically, even before he became a famous rapper he always had money. Lots of money. The only thing we’re wondering is how do you gauge success when you’re already rich?
The title of Diggy Simmons‘ new album raises a few questions. Luckily, he reassured us it has nothing to do with accidental pregnancies.
“A lot of the times when we want to do things and people don’t know that we’re capable of that or don’t believe in it, we shy away from doing it,” he said. “So Unexpected Arrival is about, you know, it doesn’t matter what people think or if people are doubting or hating or anything like.”
Diggy also talked about how the name has more to do with his hip-hop pedigree than a good old game of “just the tip” backfiring. Was that too much?

One Direction told andPOP if they had to choose a sixth member of the band they’d choose Ed Sheeran! Find out what Ed Sheeran had to say about that here. We also watch a video of Jon Hamm giving advice to 16-year-old girls (it’s not creepy we promise) and sympathize with a very unlucky couple.
Class is now in session. The man who we’re now calling “Professor Jeezy” is well versed in making money, counting money and what to do once you have lots of money. In one of our most inspiring and hilarious interviews to date we go to the school of hard knocks and talk about cash.
Just after we finished with Jeezy he invited @Jordans_life to play with $100,000 but they wouldn’t let us take the video cameras! Needless to say, we’re all big fans of Young Jeezy here at andPOP.

Hiccups are the worst aren’t they? It seems like the more you try to get rid of them the worse they get. Sure they’re annoying, but when a kitten gets them they’re darn cute. Moses the kitten filled up on kitten formula and had a minor bout of hiccups. He was orphaned a few days after birth and opened his eyes the day before this video. He’s okay, he just drank too much too fast. D’aw!!
It seems a lot of people are trying to get their hands on Ed Sheeran these days. His album + is doing incredible things internationally and his fans like the music so much they’re screaming the words to his songs. Not that it’s a bad thing but it must hurt the ears a little. We share this enthusiasm for Ed and his music. In fact, he also likes us. Did you know @andPOP is his favourite website? True story!
