Meet Jon, your friendly neighbourhood PC video game enthusiast. Recently, some people have been giving him a hard time because he spends a lot of time in his basement on his desktop computer. Jordan wanted to help out and decided he could solve the problem with the Toshiba X870 Qosmio. With a third generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M 3GB graphics card it’s got all the power Jon needs to get out of the basement. Watch as Jordan attempts to show John the benefits of gaming outdoors.

That awkward moment when you’ve fallen in love with A
After muchos thought and consideration, Spencer had sex with Pretty Little Liars’ Toby, who totally had his eyes open when he was kissing her (why were they open TOBY?). Turns out the dude is part of the A-team, but we’re crossing our fingers he’s working undercover. What did you think of the midseason finale, which was aptly called “BetrAyal?” [prettyl-ittleliars and prettylittleliarsquestions]

Reporters versus Hurricane Isaac
No, this isn’t an episode of Man vs. Wild. NBC’s Al Roker and The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore report on Hurricane Isaac from New Orleans. Stay safe everyone! [Buzzfeed]

Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz has already worked with Drake, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and Kanye West. The roster is impressive considering his debut album Based On A T.R.U Story, which debuted at number one on Billboard 200, only came out this month. During a phone call with ANDPOP’s Azra Kassam, he chatted about the most important lesson he learned from the almighty Kanye West and his biggest accomplishment (it might surprise you).
Musically speaking, his first album hits close to home
2 Chainz said the release day for his album felt like the first day of school. “This is my first album. It took me my whole life to put it together,” he said. So it was only natural that he wanted to pay homage to his Atlanta hometown. “Over half the project is done by Atlanta producers so I still have that hometown feel,” he explained. “There are great influences on there, great features, great production… I think people will be able to relate to it in all areas.”
Kanye West taught him the importance of art and images
“The dude is very creative,” 2 Chainz said about fellow rapper Kanye West. The Watch the Throne rapper taught him how art can add another dimension to the hip hop genre. “Artistic expression…it’s another way to express yourself without talking,” he said. “That’s something Kanye brought to my attention…it’s all about images.” His description of working with West on the “Birthday Song” single? “It was a combination of an overload of confidence with a touch of cockiness!”
One of his biggest accomplishments so far is influencing others to vote Read more…

You’d think The Wanted would be bombarded by so-called “screamy” fans to the point where they’d avoid going out at night. But apparently the guys still have time to party on weekends and after gigs. @Jordans_Life talked to them about where they go at night, crazy fans and their so-called “normal” life.
Watch it here:
Click here to watch part one: where the guys address rumours and Siva’s testicles (yup!)
We’ve all read strange things about The Wanted. For whatever reason, the press likes to create fantastic stories about how Max is celibate, Jay is a vegan and the list goes on. That’s why @jordans_life thought it would be appropriate to make up a rumour for our website ANDPOP. As we expected the guys went above and beyond our expectations and created a story about Siva’s balls and Italian spices. Perfect.

“Call Me Maybe (Cover)” — Kelly Clarkson
Every show, Kelly Clarkson lets a fan from the audience choose a song for her to sing, which is why we’ve been hearing her cover tracks like Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and Britney Spears’ “Everytime.” This time, a few people in the audience asked her to cover Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” We’ve heard tons of renditions of this track but this simplified version works because we really get to focus on a catchy melody and great vocals.
“You’re Gonna Love This” — 3OH!3
Poor 3OH!3…they started the whole pop/rap/dance/auto tune/alcoholic/patterned pants craze and LMFAO and Kesha swooped right in and stole their thunder. The duo hasn’t given up though and in the name of all that is outrageous and obnoxious, I give you “You’re Gonna Love This,” off their newest album Omens. The music video for the track is pretty simple. They both try to win over the same girl, one-upping each other by throwing things and aiming really well. Unfortunately, the girl in the video is totally unimpressed and gets whisked away by a Tom Cruise look-a-like, leaving the boys to find some other fish in the sea.

It’s been four years since New York rapper Nas released a solo album, so his new record Life Is Good serves as a re-introduction to his fans. In a phone interview with ANDPOP’s Azra Kassam, Nas talked about collaborating with Amy Winehouse and his best prank ever (it involves a blow up doll).
Life is Good was his daily mantra before becoming his album title: These last few years have been difficult for Nas, particularly because of a high profile divorce from singer Kelis. But he rose above it all and bared his soul for his eleventh studio album Life Is Good. “Instead of looking at all the losses, I started looking at them as blessings,” he said. “I started saying ‘Life is Good’ and it became a daily mantra… It was the obvious thing to do when it was time to title my album.”
So there you have it kids, the next time you’re feeling blue, try creating a positive, daily mantra for yourself. You can thank Nas later.
He and Amy Winehouse share the same birthday: Nas recently released “Cherry Wine,” a collaboration with Amy Winehouse, which appears on Life is Good. He said it was amazing to collaborate with Winehouse before her tragic death. “She was an incredible artist, she was a pure artist, and she was someone who loved music more than most people I meet,” he said. “She had a spirit that was about being honest and being raw and not caring about what anybody thinks.” In fact, Nas said when he was putting “Cherry Wine” together, he felt Winehouse’s presence as an angel.
Coincidentally, both Nas and Winehouse shared the same birthday, Sept. 14, though he was born ten years earlier.

Bears Go HAM
A family of bears broke into a cabin near Jarfjord, Norway, and basically went HAM on it. Not only is the cabin completely destroyed, all the food was eaten as well. You may be asking yourself why some random bears would destroy a cabin? Inside there were 100 beers, all of which were consumed by those fuzzy animals. So, just think of it as a college-like experience, but instead of rowdy frat boys it’s your average family of bears drinking all night and destroying perfectly good homes. That shit cray. [Source]
Spider Woman?
If the Paranormal Activity movies aren’t enough to keep you from sleeping, this story definitely will. A woman in China had surgery last Wednesday to remove a little hairy friend, living somewhere it shouldn’t. Doctors removed a HUGE HAIRY SPIDER from inside this women’s ear canal!!!! She went to see her doctor after having an itchy ear for a few days. Turns out it was itchy due to her little friend, who they speculate must have burrowed inside her ear while she was sleeping. This legitimately is one of my childhood fears, and still is. So below, I created a list of ways to stop your worst fear from happening.
1. Always sleep with the covers over your ears. This is what I do, and so far, no spiders are living in my ears.
2. When your creepy-spidey-sense starts tingling, go to bed with your headphones on, or at least in your ears.
3. Ear plugs. A simple and cheap solution.
4. Worst case, if you cannot do anything mentioned above, put some band-aids over those ears. You will stay safe throughout the night from any ear invasions. You’re Welcome. [Source]
Laundry Fail

We have all had that freak out moment, when we need our clothes to be dry NOW, but they aren’t cause we forgot to turn on the dryer/lost track of time/had a lazy brother who wouldn’t take his clothes out. Well maybe the last reason is just me, but either way, DO NOT ATTEMPT to dry your wet clothes in a microwave. Someone near Weymouth, England decided this was a reasonable idea and almost burned his house down. Firefighters responded to the call and found a few appliances destroyed by the fire. His two pairs of underwear and socks, didn’t survive. [Source]

Rita Ora’s such a fashionista, we just can’t imagine her wearing hideous matching tracksuits at 13 to get attention from her first love (who ended up being a total dud). She sat down with @Jordans_Life to talk about her first beer and the craziest party she ever went to. At 16, she ended up throwing a flat party at her family home and sh*t went CRAY. Well, you can’t blame her considering her dad owned a wicked pub and had surround sound speakers.
Want a chance for you and a guest to see Karmin perform on Friday, August 17? ANDPOP is going to be streaming a LIVE interview on YouTube and we want YOU to be there. The interview is taking place at a secret location downtown Toronto in the evening. If you win, you’ll get to watch the interview with duo Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan then watch them perform!
Now take a breath. The rules are pretty simple. All you have to do is fill out a form below by Wednesday, August 15 at 12 pm EST (noon) and we’ll randomly select 10 winners! You’ll get to choose one person to come with you. Please note that winners will be responsible for their own transportation.
Good luck and we hope to see you there!
Sorry the contest ended already :(
Question: Do professional athletes or rappers party harder? According to rapper Mac Miller, athletes go pretty hard. He told @Jordans_Life that back when he was starting his career, he went to a birthday party for NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire. Think tequila, wild girls, Steve Nash and Jason Richardson doing the Hulk. Mac also talked about loving Canada — if not only because of our lax attitude at the border.

I understand the awkwardness of reading an erotic novel like Fifty Shades of Grey on the subway. That’s why I’ve come up with this craftacular DIY manual, to guide you through reading it without anyone knowing the better.
Operation: Wrap Around
Level: Easy
Reader: This is the ideal solution for someone with few resources and little time.
Tactic: If you’re not concerned about damaging the spine of the novel, wrap the front cover around the back to block the sultry title from the wide-eyed grandmother sitting in priority seating. If cracking the binding is a concern, consider the following: if you’re standing, face a wall so the title of the novel is blocked from other passengers and if you’re sitting down, balance the book on the top of your thighs. Disclaimer: If you choose the latter, it might be slightly uncomfortable to read the text at this jarring angle but your objective will be fulfilled and judgemental riders won’t know you’re reading about The Red Room of Pain.
Operation: Genius
Level: Medium Read more…
It’s finally the start of the summer Olympics and in celebration we’ve got tons of atheletic fails for you. We’re not sure why we find fail compilations so funny but we’re not complaining. We nearly gag when we see this deadweight trainer pick up more than he should and then we watch the Olympic Banana get passed along Guildford. You never heard of an Olympic banana before? For shame.
We’re so glad we weren’t picnicking at this park when a bunch of rowdy kids fed the seagulls laxatives. We also talk about iPAD pranks and watch a new movie promo with Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, getting high in bed. Don’t forget, we’re a live show. You can watch us every weekday at 5 pm on andpop.tv.
The thing that bothers me most about this whole “OMG Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson” scandal isn’t that we’re so feeble that we crumble whenever the shiny veneer of Hollywood demi-gods fades (because it seems like we do), it’s that our teeth come out and we judge judge judge.
Pretty much everyone knows by now through Twitter, Facebook, blogs or just a friend calling them up to bare teeth that 22-year-old K-Stew had an intimate relationship with 41-year-old Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
At first it was gleefully trilled by Hollywood rags with photo evidence but then we got confirmation from Stewart herself, who went straight into public apology mode: ”I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” she said in a statement to People. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Sanders, who is married to model-actress Liberty Ross, later issued an apology too: ”I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family.” He also said: ”My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
According to Perez Hilton, Ross, who appeared as Stewart’s mother in the movie, allegedly posted this photo on Instagram and later disabled her Twitter.

And so far, no word from RPatz camp.
It seems that never so closely is a career and social life tied up than in Hollywood. The Twitterverse is alight with people behind computer screens slaying her. And yes, it was wrong but don’t forget that Sanders is the 41-year-old here with a wife and children. Both are at fault.
While some of the tweets are pretty harsh, other are more perceptive.
Tell us: what do you think about the Stewart/Sanders affair? More importantly, do you think everyone gets too involved?
Conor Maynard is a slick player who challenges Rita Ora to some elusive game in their new collaboration” Better Than You.” Let the smack talk begin!
First the 19-year-old Brit tries to woo Rita with his enticing dance moves: “I can tell that you’re watching me/ And I know you’re loving everything that you see/ The way I catch you go, crazy/ I’ll make you wanna dance with me.” But a confident Rita has a mind of her own: ”Take a picture, but you ain’t getting 3D/ Boy, slow down, come here/ So you say that you’re better than me?/ If I take it all off, bet you like what you see.”
The mid-tempo track, which will be on Conor’s debut album Contrast, has a cool electronic vibe with perfect harmonies. In the end, we’re not sure who’s “better” than the other, but the collaboration pretty much KILLS (in a good way of course).
