Lady Gaga is taking full advantage of the many benefits of being in Amsterdam (smoking pot legally, sex shows, smoking pot at sex shows) and has implemented some of the city’s most enticing tourism draws into her Born This Way Ball at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on Monday.
Gaga lit up a joint on stage and laughed that a couple puffs wouldn’t getting her high, before accepting some marijuana-themed gifts from the crowd.
Gaga has long touted her love of marijuana and said so on stage: ”I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I’ve really cut down on drinking,” she said. “It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music.”
While I don’t think replacing alcohol with marijuana is necessarily the best strategy to cut down on booze, we love that she’s so laid back and chill. While she said she wouldn’t get high, we’re guessing it made her a little more bold — check out some of her marijuana themed outfits after the jump.

If you were to see my face right now it’s kind of like this: frown, downcast eyes, and furrowed brows. “Poor Kitty.”
After his cat Orville was killed by a car, visual artist Bar Jansen transformed him into a flying helicopter (after a period of mourning, of course). The cat, who was named after the aviator Orville Wright, took his first voyage at St. Art Gallery during KunstRai Art Fair in Amsterdam. He’s now called the Orvillecopter.
“Now he is finally flying with the birds. The greatest goal a cat could ever reach!” it says under the description on YouTube. “For the cat lovers: it’s a tanned hide, just like your shoes.”
I really don’t know how I feel about this, I’m so conflicted right now.

Meet the Fokkens. They’re two of Amsterdam’s beloved prostitutes and they happen to be twins with 40+ years of experience. Louise and Martine Fokkens freed themselves from the control of their pimps, ran their own brothel and set up the first informal trade union for prostitutes. So it’s not surprising that they’re familiar faces in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.
This documentary looks surprisingly endearing. It pays homage to the two women, who are both bidding farewell to the industry. It also follows the quirky pair in their home, at work, and then to the sex shop where they talk about vibrators.
The film also takes a serious look at how the industry has changed in Amsterdam. In the old days, the local copper would tap on the window if a girl was showing too much ankle (gasp) and now the girls deal coke from the cubicles.
The film will hit small screens this summer and is expanding to major theatrical markets in September or October.
