Our host Simon Mohos had a little fun with Shawn Desman and together they prank called some of the singer’s biggest fans!
Desman tried his best to disguise his voice but sometimes, his best just wasn’t good enough. One dedicated fan instantly recognized Desman right away.
“Is this Shawn Desman?” she asked.
“I don’t know, I don’t know what that is.”
“It is you, isn’t it?”
Luckily for us, it wasn’t the only call he made. The singer gets a little creepy and gets hung up on, is sweet on the voicemail and wishes another fan a very Happy Valentine’s Day.
R&B singer Shawn Desman is currently on the road for his first ever headlining tour!
Desman has been hitting the road to bring you the best of his new album, ALIVE, which has recently been nominated for Best R&B/Soul Recording of the Year at this year’s JUNO Awards.
Desman spills the beans on thinking outside of the box and moving into the film business. He recruited none other than Degrassi’s Melinda Shankar and Heartland’s Kaitlyn Leeb for his first movie project (which also shares the name of his latest album), Alive. Desman talks about working with the two ladies and how that experience was kind of like opening “The Shawn Desman School of Dance.”
A convicted felon is claiming he shot and robbed rapper Tupac Shakur, reports CTV.
New York City police have begun investigating the online posting, which was posted on the website AllHipHop.com.
The posted claims he was paid $2,500 by another hip hop mogul to rob Shakur outside a studio in Manhattan in 1994, where Tupac suffered gunshot wounds but eventually recovered. He was later killed in 1996 by an unknown killer.
Police are trying to determine if the post is truthful and plan on interviewing the prisoner.
“Now I would like to clear up a few things, because the statute of limitations is over, and no one can be charged, and I’m just plain tired of listening to your lies,” the man says in the posting. ”I still have as proof the chain we took in the robbery.”
This may be a publicity stunt, or simply a confession that’s been eating him up on the inside. Either way, we won’t know if it’s true or not until the police investigate. Just a couple of weeks ago, a fake story was posted claiming Tupac is still alive, so you never know with these stories.
A fake news story claiming that rapper Tupac is still alive was posted on PBS’ website on Monday, reports Billboard.
Hackers apparently got into the network’s website and posted a fake story claiming the dead rapper, full name Tupac Amaru Shakur, was alive in New Zealand.
Many still believe Tupac is still alive, refusing to believe he is dead, so obviously the story came with some major attention. Way to fuel the conspiracy theorists, hackers.
PBS confirmed Monday that the website had been hacked and the story was removed later that morning. It had been posted on the ‘PBS NewsHour’ program website.
The program later released a tweet, saying “If you missed it: our site has been accessed by hackers. Thanks for staying with us.”
The hackers is a group apparently called ‘LulzSec,’ or ‘The Lulz Boat’ on Twitter. The group claims they are responsible for the act, and even posted a video which taunts the network.
As much as I do not condone this kind of action, I must say, the hackers were smart in getting the attention of the public. There are so many conspiracy theorists out there who still believe Tupac is alive, so posting a story claiming he’s alive is one of the smartest things I’ve ever heard of. Not that I condone it.
A man was arrested at Kiss’ TD Garden show in Boston on Oct. 5 for urinating on a concertgoer standing in front of him, according to RollingStone.com.
A woman was watching the rock band perform when she suddenly experienced a “warm feeling on the back of her leg.” The woman turned around to see where the warmth was coming from, only to find that the man behind her was urinating.
Security was called over and the man was escorted away and detained until police arrived on the scene.
Chris Morris of Boston was charged with open and gross lewdness and disorderly conduct. Morris was reportedly also highly intoxicated, slurring his speech while an alcoholic musk emanated from him.
