New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez’s driver almost got a ticket for blocking traffic outside Serafina Restaurant in New York City, reports TMZ. When the police officer heard who the car belonged to, he let the violation slide.
Former madam, Kristin Davis, who used to provide hookers for former New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer provided the same services for injured Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and dated him, the Daily News reported yesterday.
Davis served three months in jail and is on five years’ probation after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution.
“All I can say is there is a connection,” she said when asked about Rodriguez. According to newsday.com, she declined to comment on the specific allegations, saying she does “not talk about my personal life or who I date.”
Alex Rodriguez is officially the latest bachelor on the prowl.
According to E! News, the New York Yankee star had his divorce finalized with his wife Cynthia of five years on January 12 in Florida’s Miami-Dade County Court.
The now-divorced couple have two children. They made headlines last year when they split during rumors of Rodriguez’s relationship with Madonna.
Despite not being spotted publicly recently, Rodriguez, 33, and the Material Mom, 50, are rumored to have spent last weekend together at Jerry Seinfeld’s East Hampton home.
Although the rumours keep coming that Madonna plans to divorce Guy Ritchie, the pop icon has spoken up and says the stories are untrue, reports E! News.
Madonna also denies she is having an affair with Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez – as recent gossip reports suggest. In a statement to People magazine, Madonna says:
“My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”
On Saturday, Madonna, her husband and their three children — Lourdes, 11; Rocco, 7; and David, 2 — were seen attending prayer services at the Kabbalah Centre in New York City.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s relationship is not on the rocks, reports People magazine.
According to Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg, the pop star is not splitting from her husband.
“Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family (not in a last ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving),” Liz Rosenberg told People. “There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”
Rosenberg also shot down rumours that Madonna is having an affair with New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.
“Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary,” Rosenberg says. “They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.”
