Like every other year before, 2011 had a roster of idiotic celebrity moments.  A lot of stories that broke this year had us scratching our heads and rolling our eyes as we begged “what the hell is going on?” We have counted down the ten craziest pop culture stories that deserve a major facepalm.

10. The show “Playboy Club” on NBC

This cheesy and poorly acted show starring Amber Heard and Dean Cain didn’t last more than three or so episodes on NBC. Thank God!

9. Actress sues IMDB over age

An actress going by the name “Jane Doe” sued internet movie database IMDB and its parent company Amazon.com for $1 million over revealing her real age (40). She claims her age is a liability in Hollywood (no kidding!).

8. Alec Baldwin kicked off plane over Words With Friends

The veteran actor of “30 Rock” says he was booted from an American Airlines flight last month because he refused to stop playing Words With Friends on his phone. The airline then went on to slam the actor in many reports. AA now knows the title for Stupidest Reason to Kick Somebody Off a Plane. Congratulations!

7. Ashton Kutcher mis-tweets information

Weeks before Demi announced she’s divorcing the young actor, Ashton sparked outrage after tweeting misinformation regarding the Joe Paterno scandal. Ashton was apparently unaware that Paterno was charged with molesting young boys when he tweeted his upset over his firing from Penn State. Ashton, embarrassed, gave full control of his Twitter account to his management team.

6. Johnny Depp compares photo shoots to rape

Kids aren’t the only ones that say the darndest things. Celebrities often get caught with their foot in their mouths. Take Johnny Depp for instance. In an interview with Vanity Fair this year, he said photo shoots are “a lot like getting raped”.

5. Courtney Stodden has ultrasound on national television

Courtney, one of those “famous for not doing anything” chicks like Paris and Kim, went on “Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers” prove to everyone her breasts aren’t fake. The 17-year-old, engaged to a 51-year-old Doug Hutchinson, got an ultrasound in front of the television audience, much like Tyra Banks did in 2005.

4. Lindsay Lohan sent to morgue duty

Lindsay really needs to live by that manta “check yourself before you wreck yourself” because this year, she found herself violating her probation more than once. In the end, she wasn’t sentenced to jail, but she did have to report to morgue duty which had her cleaning up fecal matter and all that fun stuff off the floors.

3. Kim Kardashian divorces after 72 days 

Most of us thought it wouldn’t last long but we didn’t expect Kim and Kris Humphries to separate that fast. Kim ranked in about $10 million off the televised “fairytale wedding” this past September.

2. Mariah Yeater accuses Justin Bieber of getting her pregnant

Mariah kind of became a household name in October but for all the wrong reasons. The 20-year-old girl accused the singer of having sex with her after a concert and getting her pregnant. After many lawsuits were filed and DNA tests were taken, the whole world now knows Justin’s not the father. Phew!

1. Charlie Sheen’s public meltdown

There’s never been a breakdown quite like Charlie Sheen’s. Back in January, his show “Two and a Half Men” went on hiatus so that Charlie could go to rehab for his drug addictions. Shortly after, Charlie began dissing the show’s creator and then it all spiraled downwards from there. Who could forget his infamous “Winning!” catchphrase?

Following the recent pandemonium (19 points!) – sorry, the last article still has me using big girl words – that had Alec Baldwin kicked off a plane for honestly the dumbest reason ever, I’d compiled a list of other celebrities who have been yanked from the jets.

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong was once escorted off a Southwest flight after refusing to pull up his pants. It’s not like he was just finishing his induction into the Mile High Club either, it’s just that his underwear was showing. A flight attendent brought it to his attention and the “Walking Contradiction” singer lashed out and then got the boot. More like a walking opposition.

Country singer and Celebrity Apprentice winner John Rich was kicked off a plane earlier this week for being too drunk. Oh, I should point out this flight was at 10 in the morning! Reports say the bumpkin got in a verbal argument before he even boarded the Nashville-bound plane. I assume the talk when a little bit like this: “Listen, steward, I swear to drunk I’m not God! Hey, Pan Am got cancelled, so why are you still here?!”

It was a close call for Whitney Houston earlier this year. She almost got thrown out of a plane (while it was still on land, of course) for not buckling up. On a Delta flight, leaving Atlanta for Detroit, the singer got “all diva” on the crew when they repeatedly insisted she buckle her seatbelt. Delta needs to cool it. It’s one thing to get mad about not buckling up but a whole other thing to get mad if she was caught smoking in the bathroom, right girl?

The man famous for his character Silent Bob definitely made a loud reaction when he was kicked off a plane for being overweight. Southwest Airlines were adamant that Kevin Smith should purchase two seats instead of one, simply for his size. He tweeted immediately, “I know I’m fat, but was Captain Leysath really justified in throwing me off a flight for which I was already seated?” If Southwest Airlines have taught me anything, it’s that they’re huge dicks. No, actually they’re just dicks that hate huge people. Following his immediate removal, Kevin Smith proceeded to laugh all the way to the bank.

Five years ago, all these snakes on this mother truckin’ plane flying from Honolulu to Los Angeles were gently removed (and by that I mean violently killed) no thanks to Samuel L. Jackson.

American Airlines are obviously not a fan of word play. They allegedly kicked “30 Rock” actor Alec Baldwin off their plane because he refused to stop playing the Scrabble spin-off game, Words with Friends.

Death and Taxes Magazine reports the story broke out when passengers on the plane tweeted about the kerfuffle (22 points!). One man wrote “On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane. We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait.”

The always outspoken Alec had the intrepidity (17 points!) to call out the airline on his Twitter page. “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt.”

Apparently, the pilot and flight attendants have never seen Glengarry Glen Ross, otherwise they’d know Alec can come off as extremely tightfisted (19 points!). I wouldn’t get between a man and his lust for knowledge if I were them. It’s like yelling at a kid for reading the encyclopedia. If a man wants to expand his vocabulary, let him!

Not one to hold much of a grudge, Alex Baldwin layed the quarrel (16 points!) to rest with a joke. “My Words with Friends user name is now #theresalwaysunited,” he tweeted.

Now, as Alex flies United from here on forward, he might want to trivialize (22 points!) with “Manmundine12″. This player probably has the highest score ever recorded.

As if she wasn’t busy enough with her charity work and her upcoming album which is due in September, Mary J. Blige will also be starring in two upcoming films!

Blige confirmed that she will be starring in the upcoming movie, Rock of Ages! Alongside Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and Malin Ackerman, as the character Justice Charlier, the genleman’s club owner.

“I’m having so much fun preparing for it, and I know Tom,” Blige recently told Ian Drew from US Magazine, “I love Tom. He just really wants the best for everybody. He just wants you to win, and you’ve got to love a person like that. And they also just closed the deal with Russell Brand. It’s a fun movie!”

As well, Blige will be starring in the upcoming biopic on singer Nina Simone, and Blige is definitely “feeling good” about the role! “I’m definitely still doing it and I’m in acting classes for it now,” the star revealed. “We start shooting at the end of the month!”

As for her upcoming album, Blige says, “Expect that real good music, man. There are a lot of good topics and a lot of good, real songs that are going to heal, songs that are going to help people through stuff, make you cry, make you laugh, make you dance, make you think…just a regular Mary J. Blige emotional roller coaster!”

But we can’t forget this star’s amazing work with the charity, FFAWN. “When I was a child,” said Blige, “I saw women suffer big time. I don’t need to go into detail, but they had no self-esteem, and they hated themselves. So why wouldn’t I open a Mary J. Blige center for women? Why wouldn’t I want to send young women to college and encourage them and have them feel good about their lives or have women complete their education and go out and get better jobs? I just think even women who we think are so confident are suffering a lot from lack of self-esteem or education. I was one of those women that suffered from all that stuff and it doesn’t feel good, and I just can’t bare to see another woman suffer from that and that’s my reason for doing it.”

What an amazing woman! Congrats for all the amazing work you have been doing Mary, and we can’t wait to see you in your upcoming projects! We’re sure all those acting classes and hard work are going to pay off big time.

For months now the 30 Rock star has hidden her baby bump. Even her character on the show went through a fake pregnancy in order to cover for her boss’s wife. Fey finally admitted during a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show that she is in fact pregnant with her second child to accompany her five-year-old daughter Alicia. Celebrity-Gossip.net reports that Fey and her husband, Jeff Richmond are thrilled for the second child.

Fey is apparently already 5 months a long. She kept that secret under wraps pretty well for someone constantly in the spotlight. Hopefully this baby will inherit her good looks and comedic charm.

Too bad Alec Baldwin spilled the bad news about the end of 30 Rock we could have seen the Fey prodigies as stars. Baldwin also says that Fey will go on to have a successful writing and directing career so we will definitely be seeing more of her and that baby bump.

First Steve Carrell leaves The Office, and now Alec Baldwin revealed that 30 Rock will enter its final season this fall.

“I will tell you one thing,” he told New York magazine at the National Dance Institute’s annual fundraising gala last night.

“And that is our show next year is our last years of the show. Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”

Baldwin has previously commented on leaving the show once his contact is up next season, however it is yet to be confirmed whether or not the show itself will continue.

So there it is, in only twelve months, could Jack Donaghy, Liz Lemon and friends be nothing but reruns?

Both NBC and Tina Fey’s reps have yet to comment on the decision.

30 Rock star Alec Baldwin has been hospitalized in New York City reports NBC New York.

A 911 call was made from the actor’s apartment by what what is believed to be Badlwin’s fourteen year old daughter. The caller said the actor was unresponsive.  Although his condition is unclear, the actor has been released from hospital.

A judge has ordered actress Kim Basinger to appear in court and answer accusations that she disobeyed court orders.

The matter deals with visitation rights for her and ex-husband Alec Baldwin’s daughter Ireland, reports the BBC.

Court documents claim that the 52-year-old Basinger didn’t tell Baldwin she was working away from home during a period in 2005, not allowing Baldwin to care for their daughter while she was away.

According to Basinger’s lawyer, the claims are “nothing more than continued harrassment.”

“These allegations are specious and Kim looks forward to her vindication,” said attorney Neal Hersh.

The two split in 2000, and, in 2004, agreed to share parenting responsibilities for Ireland. Since then, however, the former couple have gotten into a number of legal battles over the issue.

To sort out this latest entanglement, Basinger will have to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 4.

Alec Baldwin attempted to get his ex-wife Kim Basinger mentally evaluated last year and now Baldwin is being ordered to get evaluated instead.

According to E! Online, Baldwin has to undergo therapy before the court will allow him extra visits with his 10-year-old daughter, Ireland, in order to determine if he would try and pit his daughter against her mother.

Baldwin has until the end of the week to decide if he will comply and see a court appointed psychologist.

Baldwin and Basinger?s divorce has been one of the messiest Hollywood divorces in recent memory. The couple split in 2001 after seven years of marriage, and have been battling one another in court for full custody of Ireland ever since.
