Yea, that’s right, Adele and Snooki are both the SAME AGE! It’s hard to believe they’re both only 24-years-old. Adele’s pipes and grace make her seem a little more mature than Jersey Shore star Nicole Polizzi Snooki. Still, even the reality star is acting a little older these days, what with her baby Guido on the way.
Check out these other celebs who are (surprisingly) the same age:
Justin Bieber, Taylor Momsen – 18

Heidi Montag, Lea Michele – 25

“Breath of Life,” Florence and the Machine
The upcoming blockbuster Snow White and the Huntsman is set to be released on June 1, and who better to create the lead single for the epic tale than cinematic songstress Florence Welch and her Machine? “Breath of Life” is possibly one of Welch’s most dramatic songs to date, with pounding drums, and a 60-person choir backing Welch’s intense voice. The video for the single shows Welch recording the track in London’s Abbey Road Studios, 60-person choir included, with vivid scenes from the film woven through the recording session. The video looks like an impressive trailer for the Snow White re-interpretation, and I will definitely be forking over 10 dollars or more at the movie theatre to watch it. You can hear “Breath of Life” on the film’s soundtrack, which will be available May 29.
“Part 5: Su-Barbie-a,” Marina and the Diamonds
A few days ago, Marina Diamandis uploaded this gem onto the Marina and the Diamonds YouTube channel. It’s Part 5 of her online video anthology, which exposes the four female archetypes that her new album Electra Heart is based on. The video is a two-minute flurry of various audio clips from old Hollywood films and Barbie doll advertisements all playing over the instrumental track from her song “Valley of the Dolls.” It also features Diamandis in a creepy Stepford-esque outfit standing in front of a perfect house, with her face engulfed in shadows. The next video to be released will be “Part 6: Power and Control.”

You know when Adele sings “I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited” in her song “Someone Like You?” Well yeah, when you really think about it, it would be pretty annoying if Adele showed up uninvited everywhere. I mean, maybe if it was an eight or higher emergency it would be acceptable but for something as little as wanting to take a drive or have a chat in the washroom, that is NOT OKAY.
In Jenna Marble’s latest video, she battles with Adele who constantly shows up at her house just ’cause. Personally, I think I’d be beyond excited if Adele showed up in my living and spewed off a couple verses but to each their own.

In Machine Gun Kelly’s new video for “Chasing Pavements” he reflects on his rise to flame, 30,000 feet in the air. The T.S. Pfeffer-directed video was shot in one take, with a reflective MGK rapping and looking out the window.
The song samples Adele’s track of the same name, and appears on his 2011 mixtape Rage Pack.

I’m officially obsessed with Alfie Magliano, who seamlessly arranged 40 current pop songs into one score. As someone who plays the piano, I’m incredibly impressed he managed to shoot the entire 14 minute song in one take, without any editing.
The track list goes in the exact order of Billboard’s Top 40 list, plus a bonus song. Included, is One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” Gotye’s “Somebody that I Used To Know” and Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend.” The whole medley is like a quick rundown of songs that are hot now, while giving makeovers to the ones you may be tired of. Magliano previously posted a top 40 video in September, and we’re crossing our fingers for more.

Neon Trees –”Everybody Talks”
There’s nothing like watching a guy in a pink suit jamming on Ellen. Neon Trees went on Ellen today to perform their hit “Everybody Talks,” which is a fun, summery jam about people gossiping. The song is from their new CD Picture Show.
Feist – “Bittersweet Melodies”
Feist’s video for her latest single Bittersweet Melodies features some pretty unique photographs. Argentinean photographer Irina Werning, who juxtaposes pictures of people recreating images taken of them in the past, lends her talents in this nostalgic video/slideshow. My favourite re-creation is the wedding couple who look just as happy now as they did then. The photos are amazing and complement the soothing, wistful song perfectly.
Adele vs. Fun – “We Are On Fire”
How do you make a great indie pop hit even better? You mash it up with Adele, of course. “We Are Young,” the first single off indie pop band Fun’s second album Some Nights, was an unexpected hit. Even Glee covered it! The song is a power ballad with a great chorus, but isn’t very danceable. So DJ Tripp mixed in Adele and a faster beat. This, my friends, is how magic happens. I’m in love. Don’t I look fed up, listening to my fave songs over and over again? Not that I don’t love them, but a girl has to get her fill of new songs once in a while. Occasionally a new track will come out to tease me but I need the whole album to satiate me!
Bluntly put, I have an addiction to these artists and I need another album hit. They should really have a support group for these types things, don’t you think?
Here are the upcoming albums that I’m most excited about:
1) Taylor Swift

A new album is said to be in the works, but I still can’t help but shout HURRY UP! You can’t blame me for being impatient because this album is rumoured to be a good one! Taylor even told Vogue that her new album would be about “an earth shattering, not so recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak.”
Taylor can this album possibly be about your painful break up with Jake Gyllenhaal? I can’t wait to hear the juicy details in the form of lyrics. It’s going to be a good one! And even though her track list is not released yet Taylor said she recorded 25 new songs! If Safe & Sound and Eyes Open are any indication how this album will sound, then I can not wait any longer!
2) Kesha

Finally Kesha is back! I know you guys secretly all missed her as much as I did. With a record rumored to be releasing in May, I can only imagine what new adventures this sleazy Diva has gotten herself into. I mean she just finished recording a collaboration with Wayne Coyne about doing acid. I know one thing’s for sure, everyone’s excited and already asking, can it be May yet?
3) Katy Perry

What’s the best way to cure heartbreak? Answer: an awesome album burning the guy who did you wrong! According to Katy her new “music is about to get real f**king dark. You’d never see my face because my hair would be in it.” I love it already! With Russell’s new tell all book and Katy’s new album can this be the start of a feud? I guess we will just have to wait and see! One things for sure everyone have your popcorn ready!
4) Adele Read more…

A special investigations unit has been sleuthing since the release of Adele’s album 21. After their tireless effort, the scumbag that inspired the heartbreaking album is busted. Of course, we love the album, but not that he broke her heart.
The guys name is apparently Alex Sturrock, a celebrity photographer and possibly an ex-boyfriend. His website features tons of portraits of a young Adele.
A source told a British tabloid (how much do we believe them anyway?) that the two met when he photographed her. She hired him as the official photographer on her tour and things got more serious. Apparently they didn’t want to label their relationship (red flag) so things ended after a year in 2009.
This mysterious source told Heat:
“They met through mutual friends while Alex was working for Viceand hit it off straight away. He shot her a few times and that was just it. They spent all their time together – and when they weren’t together they would ring each other constantly…He went with her to the States in January and they shared hotel rooms and he was on her tour bus, all the time photographing her…Adele relied on him a lot, he was her best mate as well as her boyfriend and he was very protective ofher. He’d say no one knew her like he did.”
While I’m curious who would inspire such a heartbreaking but inspiring album, doesn’t he deserve a little privacy? Many relationships end badly but most don’t end up in a hit album.
Watch Someone Like You:

Victoria Abraham defines one up and coming artist each week so you can impress your friends with your musical brilliance. This week, she tackles Azealia Banks, a rapper from Harlem, New York.
If the name Azealia Banks doesn’t ring a bell, then you’ve probably been living under a rock. Good thing I am here to enlighten you. This 20-year-old up and comer recently appeared in the GQ Style Bible, and on NYLON magazine’s website. And she’s worth the hype.
Her new EP 1991 is due out on April 17. She recently moved to London, England to work on her debut album with Paul Epworth, the producer behind Adele and Florence and the Machine. Watch for her album Broke with Expensive Taste next September.
Origins: Harlem, New York
Full name: Azealia Amanda Banks. Yes, Azealia is her real name. However, she was formerly known as Miss Bank$ and her Twitter name is ”<3 Yung Rapunxel <3.” So I’m guessing she likes braids and princesses.
Known for: She’s known for her no-nonsense, dirty, unapologetic, in your face rhymes.
Used in a sentence: “Azealia Banks brings street cred back to the female rap game. Nicki Minaj, take notes.”
File next to: Missy Elliott and Nicki Minaj
Download now: Listen to the viral hit “212” NOW if you haven’t. For shame, where have you been?

Forget Barney or Sharon, Lois and Bram, this toddler has much more mature taste in music. Two-year-old Makena sang along to Adele’s “Someone Like You” while her mom, Heather Fedorick, recorded it. Since it was posted, it’s gotten over 1.5 million views. I’m impressed the cutie remembered all the lyrics and sang it with such heart, considering the song is about a breakup.
Santigold versus Red Foo and the dancing man
LMFAO’s RedFoo “empathized” with Santigold who had one attention-hogging fan steal the spotlight during a recent concert. The audience member was so inspired by the beat he became one with the music, eventually inspiring a large portion of people to stop staring and start dancing. RedFoo sarcastically tweeted that these fame whores are simply haters.
Baseball players sings Adele
Everyone knows Adele, even baseball player Jason Kipnis. In fact, it looks like he knows her by heart. The Cleveland Indian’s second baseman was wearing a mic during an exhibition game last Wednesday and was caught singing “Someone Like You.” We’re not sure if he knew everyone could hear his lungs of steel but he sang with heart.
Adele has just splurged on a new £7 million home in Sussex, England – but Adele thinks the house is haunted. Adele apparently is afraid to walk around the property by her house.
Luckily, Adele won’t be alone. There are reports that the singer has hired a female driver as a live-in bodyguard – for £100,000 a year.
And because Adele is in a spending mood, she also hired another two security guards to patrol the property.
We’re all sick of hearing Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” after blasting it on repeat for a couple months straight. That’s why this mashup by Carlos Serrano works. He chose Daft Punk’s classic “Something About Us” to remix it with. It’s pretty cool considering the two songs sound completely different on their own, but I’m not sure if I’ll listen to this one on repeat.
Still, the song has gotten over 100,000 listens on SoundCloud so far! What do you think of it?

In andPOP’s new column “Artist of the Week,” Victoria Abraham defines one artist you need to know about so you can impress your friends with your musical brilliance. This week, she tackles Rizzle Kicks, a Brighton duo with swagger to spare.
How many people do you know who’ve been friends since preschool? Well, meet Rizzle Kicks. The swanky British lads that make up this duo have been friends since the age of four. After losing touch, the boys were reunited at the age of 11 when they faced each other head-on in a football match. In fact, the “Kicks” in their name comes from a shared love of football.
Seconds into their tunes, this hip-hop pair from Brighton will have you tapping your foot and putting on all types of swagger. Perhaps they will even have you wishing you had a British accent. After all, everything does sound cooler with a bit of that British flair, mate.
Band mates: Jordan “Rizzle” Stephens and Harley “Sylvester” Alexander-Sule.
Origins: Brighton, Britain
Known for: The barely twenty-something duo are making waves with their old school hip-hop sound.
Used in a sentence: “The Rizzle Kicks are a badass combination of old style hip-hop and rock, with just a touch of pop flavour to sweeten the mix.”
File Next To: De La Soul, Dream Warriors
Why now: They recently released their new video for “Traveller’s Chant,” from their debut album “Stereo Typical.”
Fun Facts:
At the BRIT School they both attended, Jordan studied media, while Harley studied theatre. That same school also produced artists such as Adele, Leona Lewis and Amy Winehouse.
After finishing college, Harley worked as an assistant drama teacher, while Jordan flipped burgers at the Corals Greyhound Stadium. They eventually formed Rizzle Kicks in 2008.
Career highlights:
Their debut album Stereo Typical was released on Oct. 31, 2011 and was certified gold in two months later. Their second single “Down With the Trumpets” and third single, “When I Was a Youngster” both peaked on the UK charts at #8.
Classic tune: Down With the Trumpets

RiRi has been spending a lot of time in London recently and made a stop at The Jonathan Ross Show to talk about stalking Adele, celebrity rivalries and a supposed meltdown in Ireland.
Rihanna talked about how she came to Britain exclusively to see Adele perform at the Brits, because her heart “quivers” for her. Ross attempted to pry into her dating life (asking if she’s a player) but avoided Chris Brown like kryptonite… he even suggested she go for an older man like himself. [CUE LAUGH TRACK]
Watch the clip here:
Jonathan Ross awkwardly told Rihanna she’s a minx/sexpot on stage, which was ultimately proven when she went in front of his desk and shook her hiney, nearly giving the poor guy a heart attack.
Watch the clip below:
On #FreshPressLive, Jordan talks about Adele flipping the bird during the Brit awards, Chris Brown picking a fight on Twitter and Obama Singing.
It was only a matter of time before Norwegian Recycling, King of Mashups and 90s tunes, put his musical touch on Whitney Houston. The new remix combines three of Houston’s songs with a bunch of current artists, including Adele.
While I like the song, especially Houston’s parts, it doesn’t top “How Six Songs Collide.” I also think Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” comes out of nowhere and doesn’t really fit the beat. What do you think?
Whenever I listen to a mashup I hear fragments of a song that are on the tip of my tongue but I can’t think of the name. Then it bugs me for days. We’ve got you covered though, here’s a list of the songs you’ll find in this mashup:
1) Adele – Fire To The Rain
2) Whitney Houston – How Will I Know
3) Whitney Houston – I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)
4) Whitney Houston – So Emotional
5) Florence And The Machine – You Got The Love
6) Bruno Mars – Grenade
This is crazy timing! Hardly a week after Whitney Houston’s death, Adele is set to break her record on the Billboard 200 chart. Houston previously spent 20 weeks at top spot with the soundtrack for The Bodyguard from 1992-1993. Now, Adele’s Grammy-winning album 21 has reached 20 weeks at top spot and is expected to break the record next week, after all the sales for her album are counted.
Both of Adele’s albums went up in sales after her success at the Grammy Awards on Sunday. The album 21 had a 95% gain in sales from the previous week.
Adele’s gracing the cover of Vogue‘s March issue, just in time for her comeback. She’s looking gorgeous, though a little slim, do you think it’s a Photoshop job?
The photo comes less than a week after she lashed back at Karl Lagerfeld for calling her too fat. Adele’s never bowed to Hollywood pressure before, so we don’t think she would now. Granted, the singer, who won six awards at the Grammys last night, lost weight since her throat surgery. Still , fans are slamming the airbrushed cover, insisting she looks dramatically thinner and that they love her just as she is.
What do you think of it?
As the holiest day of chocolate and flowers approaches, we thought we’d help those in need with a playlist of some of the greatest break-up or heartbreak songs of all time.
Almost every song on the radio seems to be about love, right? It’s the time of the year when the lonely feel loneliest and it seems like everyone else is playing tonsil-hockey, smiling and you have nothing except a Ryan Gosling marathon and a tub of Ben and Jerrys waiting at home. Well, we can’t do anything about that – but we can provide a melancholy soundtrack of some of the saddest songs of all time. We’ll venture into the 80s with some Joy Division, Springsteen, U2 and Pat Benetar while visiting ballads from modern artists like Cee-Lo, Beyonce and of course – Adele.
Enjoy wisely. Stare out your window at the falling rain if you have to.
