Last week, Canadian Olympic gold medalist Adam van Koeverden donated eight Lenovo computers to a youth program focusing on improving the computer literacy skills of youth. The RexDale Pro Tech Media Centre located in Toronto’s Jamestown neighbourhood.

The new media arts program teachs youth a variety of computer-related skills, such as multi-media web applications, digital art and animations. The computers donated by Koeverden will allow more youth to have access to the technology, and feature a quick processing power and speed.

The Media Centre is run by the YMCA of Greater Toronto in partnership with Microsoft Canada, The City of Toronto, Humber College and the Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
