However, wasn’t Demi recently in rehab? Well yes – however TMZ reports her people say it wasn’t for drug or alcohol abuse.

First he was caught lying about buying a $55 Million jet, and now reports claim he owes money in back taxes.

Soulja Boy owes $26,805 in back taxes. He was also alleged to have owed the State of Mississippi $3,571 in back taxes, but settled that bill last month, reports RadarOnline.com.

However, even though he can’t pay his tax bill, he still threw a $300,000 birthday party for his friends in Miami.

Dude, stop lying about planes and start paying your bills.

Posted on andPOP:

Apparently, being a terrible boyfriend and causing your girlfriend to take out her emotions in the form of phenomenal song lyrics means he deserves royalties to the album when it makes it big. Or at least, Adele’s ex-boyfriend seems to think so!

It’s no secret that her latest album, 21, is laden with hints to her past relationship. However, according to Perez Hilton, the British singer’s ex-boyfriend is now saying that he was the man behind the hurt from her debut album, 19, and therefore feels that he deserves a cut of her royalties to the tracks for being their inspiration. Really?

“For about a week he was calling and was deadly serious about it,” Adele said according to The Sun. “Finally, I said ‘Well, you made my life hell, so I lived it and now I deserve it.’ He really thought he’d had some input into the creative process by being a prick. I’ll give him the credit – he made me an adult, and put me on the road that I’m travelling.”

Looks like you did the right thing in calling the relationship quits, Adele! This one seems like a real winner. But as much as we want to hate him, we have to admit that it is thanks to him we have so many amazing songs from this British artist. Is it enough for him to deserve money for it? We think not – at all! You put her through so much, let the girl have the recognition she deserves!

The “Rolling in the Deep” singer bears all in the inside article, “defining romantic relationship, her childhood and reveals that she doesn’t worry much about her fluctuating weight,” according to Rolling Stone.

“My life is full of drama and I won’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like,” Adele revealed to Rolling Stone contributing editor Touré. “I don’t like going to the gym. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even If I had a really good figure, I don’t think I’d get my tits and ass out for no one.” However, Adele has no issue with other singers revealing too much. “I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum,” she says. “I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum. Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes. I make music for ears.”

As for her album, 21, Adele explains that it was her ex-boyfriend who inspired the track-listing. “He was artistic, but not romantic. We’d just bicker over a cup of tea or the fact that my lighter wasn’t working…He made me an adult and put me on the road that I’m traveling on,” she says.

However, the indestructible singer does have one fear: stage fright. “I’m scared of audiences,” Adele explains. “One show in Amsterdam I was so nervous I escaped out the fire exit. I’ve thrown up a couple of times. Once in Brussels I projectile vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don’t like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot.”

The British singer even touched on a sore topic; her father. “I never knew my dad,” she says, commenting on her father recently talking to British tabloids. “He has no fuckin’ right to talk about me.” Her father did reveal later on that he regretted his actions, but we still feel for her – Adele, we love you despite all the drama in your life! And sometimes it takes just that to produce such an amazing and heartfelt album.

Adele’s Rolling Stone issue will be available at newsstands and the Rolling Stone digital archive on April 15.

The soul singer’s album 21 has sold over 352,000 copies in the first weeks, surpassing Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never – The Remixes, which dropped to #2 as sales trailed off to 102,000.

Adele’s 2008 debut 19 continues to march its way back up the charts as well, jumping 34 spots to #16 on sales of 18,000.

I’m glad an actually talented artist is dominating the charts for once, as opposed to the pop sensations that usually dominate the sales. I personally got the chance to see Adele on the Canada AM soundstage last week, and she was phenomenal. She has a presence, a style, and a voice that could blow off the roof of any building. And she’s only 22!

I think the success of Adele lies in her widespread appeal. Her music could appeal to a younger generation, with songs like Rolling In The Deep that have a current, modern feel, but her voice alone could appeal to an older audience, as they can find nostalgia and comfort in her old-timesy feel. I know my parents love her voice, and my friends love her album, so really, who can not like Adele?

But in all honesty, the reason I’m really happy over this news is that she bumped Justin Bieber from the top spot. I think it’s about time for him to give up the #1 spot, or even his career. Actually, Jbiebz, you can just stop making music now. I think we’ll all be fine with Adele taking your place. Am I right?

We’ve all seen the set-up before: A university (MIT) student (Ben Campbell, played by Across the Universe’s Jim Sturgess) has big dreams (admission into Harvard Medical), but lacks the financial means ($300,000 tuition) to pay for them. So to preserve our society’s <strike>delusional</strike> democratic belief that we live in a meritocracy, he’s given a chance to earn the money – in this case by counting cards, which, as his math professor (Kevin Spacey) repeatedly tells him, is NOT illegal – ethically questionable, yes, but so are casinos.

The film begins with Ben being caught by a card-counting guard, Cole Williams (Laurence Fishburne), so you know where this is going.

Oh, and the girl of his dreams (Jill Taylor, played by Kate Bosworth) also happens to be on the team. His mom is single. He has a pair of best friends (Josh Gad and Sam Golzari) and a science project he quickly abandons. And of course this is all based on a true story. Of course!

It’s funny how easily Hollywood shoehorns real life into crassly manipulative patterns. For instance in real life Jeff Ma, the inspiration for Ben, was Asian, as was Mike Aponte (who inspired the requisite moody character, Fisher, played by Jacob Pitts), while the film’s two Asians (Aaron Yoo and Liza Lapira) are paper-thin caricatures who exist more as plot devices than anything (Ma himself has a cameo as a blackjack dealer).

Also, in real life Ma’s family was wealthy enough to pay for his tuition. So no pleading with an official to give him a scholarship, no scrimping to save $300,000 for medical school, no lying to his mother when she tried to give him a quarter of the money he needed, no genuine consequences (other than less money) if he lost.

Mickey Rosa, Spacey’s character, is a composite of two men: Johnny Chang and J.P. Massar, neither of whom threatened Ma with the academic equivalent of breaking his legs if he broke the rules.

And yet, 21 plays into its conventions well. The film is undeniably entertaining; the card counting sequences are well done and create an atmosphere of suspense, and while there’s one too many -

Ben: That’s it, I’m out of this!
Mickey: You can earn more money.
Ben: Fine, I’m back in!

(paraphrased obviously) – the characters are about as believable as they need to be. While I don’t respect 21′s decision to turn three real-life Asians into white people (there’s a Facebook group calling to boycott the film), there are worse movies to see at the multiplex.
