Beyoncé’s back with a new collaboration and as usual she does no wrong. In this clip of The-Dreams new song “Turnt,” Beyoncé flawlessly lends her voice to the chorus. Rapper 2 Chainz also lends his talents to the track. The song is super catchy and just with this clip, its beat will be stuck in your head. The track is the first single off of The-Dreams latest album IV Play, which will be released later this month on May 28.
LISTEN TO “TURNT” BY THE-DREAM FEAT. BEYONCÉ AND 2 CHAINZ BELOW:
“When I was Your Man” – Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars takes some tips from the likes of Adele and Taylor Swift in his new single “When I Was Your Man,” singing about a past relationship gone wrong. Over a piano, Mars’ smooth vocals carry the track as he sings earnestly about the mess he made of a relationship and the woman he let get away. Mars actually tweeted about how nervous he was before releasing the track so we can assume the song reflects on real life experiences. If you like ballads, this one will tug at your heart strings for sure. Bruno Mars’ new album Unorthodox Jukebox drops tomorrow.
“G.O.O.D. Morning” – 2 Chainz
2 Chainz is living the G.O.O.D. life in his new track “G.O.O.D. Morning,” and the man has clearly reached a high point in his career. We watch him traipse around Paris spending obscene amounts of money at designer stores like Louis Vitton and Versace, get photographed by paparazzi (‘please, no pictures!’), rap for a wild crowd, and get recognized everywhere he goes. Oh, and what better way to start his great day than a little wake and bake? In other exciting 2 Chainz news, look out for an upcoming collab with Korean rapper Psy, produced by Diplo!
Rapper Eric D’Alessandro created a new track dedicated to untalented, mainstream rap artists who sacrifice purposeful, thoughtful lyrics for all the “extras” that go along with the business. Now we have “wack ass gangstas” faking it and getting rich by promoting a flashy lifestyle. According to D’Alessandro their fans listen to their music so they can live vicariously through them — plus, that’s what the cool kids do.
He calls out a few rappers specifically: “…since 2 Chainz/ You don’t gotta say shit just yell out “Tru!!”/ Or you could be like Rick Ross/ Say just “ugh!” and that you’re the boss.”
D’Alessandro’s rap is pretty witty, though he doesn’t acknowledge that bad music isn’t exclusive to today’s generation — there have always been bad music acts in every genre. Also, there are tons of rap artists who put a lot of thought into their work, even if you have to look underground.
All in all, he makes a valid point. He also proves that while not every rapper puts thought into their music, he certainly does.

Let’s play a game. It’s called “Spot the Booty!!”
2 Chainz released the anticipated music video for “Birthday Song,” featuring Kanye West. In case you didn’t gather from the lyrics, the visuals confirm that 2 Chainz indeed wants a big booty ho for his birthday. We know this because the majority of the video is filled with breast-baring ladies shaking their butts while he raps about his deepest wishes.

Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz has already worked with Drake, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and Kanye West. The roster is impressive considering his debut album Based On A T.R.U Story, which debuted at number one on Billboard 200, only came out this month. During a phone call with ANDPOP’s Azra Kassam, he chatted about the most important lesson he learned from the almighty Kanye West and his biggest accomplishment (it might surprise you).
Musically speaking, his first album hits close to home
2 Chainz said the release day for his album felt like the first day of school. “This is my first album. It took me my whole life to put it together,” he said. So it was only natural that he wanted to pay homage to his Atlanta hometown. “Over half the project is done by Atlanta producers so I still have that hometown feel,” he explained. “There are great influences on there, great features, great production… I think people will be able to relate to it in all areas.”
Kanye West taught him the importance of art and images
“The dude is very creative,” 2 Chainz said about fellow rapper Kanye West. The Watch the Throne rapper taught him how art can add another dimension to the hip hop genre. “Artistic expression…it’s another way to express yourself without talking,” he said. “That’s something Kanye brought to my attention…it’s all about images.” His description of working with West on the “Birthday Song” single? “It was a combination of an overload of confidence with a touch of cockiness!”
One of his biggest accomplishments so far is influencing others to vote Read more…
In 2 Chainz and Drake’s new black and white video for “No Lie” the two rappers knock it back in a white-walled room with black paint oozing over the sides like the lines of a polygraph machine.
Various women wearing feather headdresses and ballerina-esque bodysuits dance around them while the duo talk about telling no lies (if you didn’t get them from the title). It’s a pretty standard video with various slow motion sequences, which is surprising since it’s by Director X, who did Drake’s “HYFR.”
The song has a good beat but the video’s pretty YAWN. What do you think?

Kanye West FINALLY released the video for “Mercy” after teasing it for the past week. The video features 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Pusha-T, taking turns rapping.
The black and white visuals have the G.O.O.D. Music crew in some sort of artful parking garage with a few quick glimpses of a sleek car. The song is named after the Lamborghini Murcielago, after all. It’s basically an subtle ad/love sonnet for the Italian luxury car.

For any of you naysayers who don’t think Justin Bieber has any street cred, you’ll have 2 Chainz to contend with… and Mac Miller… and another one of Scooter Braun’s clients, Asher Roth. We’ll consider them his backup.
Some critics weren’t impressed with JB’s rapping skills but this version of his latest single “Boyfriend” wipes the track clear of those verses. In said version, the rappers talk about their love life in high school and Roth even touches on Jelena (a.k.a. Selena + Justin): “We could be like Selena and Biebs/ Wild and free, a couple disobedient teens/ Sneaking out to meet around like 2 o clock in the eve/ Paparazzi in the bar and we just hot in the beach.”
Apparently it’s THE song for artists to remix. We already heard The Ying Yang Twins put their special touch on the track after it drew comparisons to “Wait.”
Luckily the three rappers don’t touch JB’s smooth verses, but this way it’s a little more hardcore. Bieber tweeted: “WHAT?!??! my bro @asherroth just sent me a verse for the ?#BFREMIX? !! crazy! adding him to it! so dope. @2chainz @macmiller @asherroth ?#REMIX.” Hawt!”

It’s really not wise to watch Kreayshawn’s new video for “Breakfast (Syrup)” unless it’s after 11 am and you’re sufficiently stuffed. The two-and-a-half minute video chronicles an intense breakfast party that involves pancakes, whipped cream, and an unhealthy amount of syrup.
If you didn’t catch it, Kreayshawn says she has all the syrup, which is kind of a lie since a yawning 2 Chainz makes an appearance with even more maple syrup. She knocks it back from the glass like it’s a shot of JD while some other girl pours it over her body in the pantry, creating a stick unattractive mess.
The video is directed by Kreayshawn and I kind of like that we now have an appropriate song for the little-known Breakfast Party. The Oakland-based rapper also set Aug. 14 as the release date for her debut album Something about Kreay.
Watch it here:

2 Chainz and Kreayshawn’s creepy music video starts in a poorly-lit house that’s filled with all kinds of taxidermy, tools that hang on the dungeon basement wall like weapons and caked blood in the drainpipes. Naturally, it’s a music video for a song called “Murder,” by 2 Chinz and Kreayshawn.
The Alex Nazari-directed video starts with 2 Chainz thinking about killing but he settles for dinner instead.
He raps: “Murder, Murder, This Right Here That Murder / Pulled the Car Out The Garage, They Screaming Bloody Murder / Murder, Murder Chalk Line Around Your Daughter / 3 Cell Phones and I Still Don’t Ever Call Her.”
So he’s talking about murder, right?

Drake and 2 Chainz dropped “No Lie” and it’s already being called a song of the summer — even Drake wrote on Twitter that he was starting the summer off right with the track. ”
2 Chainz has been working with a lot of big names lately, including Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and T.I. This time he has Drake on his side, who seems to dominate much of the song. No Lie” is the lead single off 2 Chainz’ upcoming album Based on a T.R.U. Story. But you’ll have to wait all summer to hear it becuase it’s not out until Aug. 14.

Nicki Minaj is a colour clashing, urban Harajuku girl in her new video “Beez In The Trap,” sporting three different hair colours, a pink bodysuit, neon eye makeup and a cheetah unitard. The video also features the prerequisite cash shuffling at smoky clubs and booty shaking.
The Benny Boom directed video, features 2 Chainz. Between outings at a disco-lit club, Nicki crouches in front of barbed wire and gropes a female friend.
Oh and if you didn’t catch it the first time: she beez in the trap.
Nicki Minaj dropped two very different tracks this week, both from her forthcoming album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”
“Beez in the Trap” is comparatively more simple than Starships, with minimal and raw production. Although the beat is simple, she raps with that pop she’s known for with Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz.
Minaj posted the dirty version of the song herself on Twitter along with some of the dirty lyrics of the song: ”B***hes aint sh*t & they aint sayin nuffin! A hunnit muthaf***as can’t tell me nuffin! I beez in the trap! B beez in the trap!!!!”
Minaj’s track with Chris Brown “Right By My Side” also found its way online and it’s a bit more PG, featuring her softer singing voice.
The album drops on April 3 and if these tracks are any indication of the rest of the album, we are excited!
