Roc Royal, Ray Ray, Prodigy, and Princeton of Mindless Behavior are looking retro-cool in their new music video for “Used To Be.”
Decked out in badass sunglasses with old school microphones in hand, Mindless Behavior are smooth and sultry as they croon R&B sweet-nothings into our ears. We have to wonder, though, how any girl could leave any band member when they can serenade them like that.
“Used To Be” is off of their latest album, All Around The World. Mindless Behavior is currently on their All Around The World tour.

After getting a little taste of what Beyoncé’s new music will sound like thanks to her many endorsements, her song “Grown Woman” has leaked and it is everything we’ve ever wanted from our real life Khaleesi and more.
We first heard a snippet of the song in her trippy Pepsi commercial where she has a dance battle with her former personas. We must wonder, though, if Beyoncé has been getting a little inspiration from her sister, Solange, as “Grown Woman” also features some similar sonic features. If so, can we please get a Beyoncé/Solange collab in the future? A Knowles family song would make my life. While their songs are incredibly lots of fun, unlike Solange’s lovely and incredibly under appreciated song “Losing You,” Beyoncé’s “Grown Women” feels bigger and more apt for her current stadium tour.
The song will probably be the first single off of Beyoncé’s currently untitled and date-less fifth album.

The title track for Toronto R&B artist the Weeknd’s upcoming album Kiss Land is out! The almost eight-minute track is spacey, twisted and dark which surprisingly compliments the Weeknd’s silky smooth vocals. As for what the Japanese text in the video says our guess is as good as yours, but this has to be our favourite suggestion:
If “Kiss Land” the song isn’t enough for you, check out this 21-second preview of “John Carpenter,” another song set to appear on Kiss Land the album, HERE.
Beyoncé’s back with a new collaboration and as usual she does no wrong. In this clip of The-Dreams new song “Turnt,” Beyoncé flawlessly lends her voice to the chorus. Rapper 2 Chainz also lends his talents to the track. The song is super catchy and just with this clip, its beat will be stuck in your head. The track is the first single off of The-Dreams latest album IV Play, which will be released later this month on May 28.

Abel Tesfaye, otherwise known as the The Weeknd, released a preview to a new song titled “John Carpenter” on his official YouTube page Monday.
The quick 21-second video clip shows a fuzzy image of the musician swaying to his music in what looks to be his music studio. The audio itself sounds a little darker, or as one YouTube commenter put it:
Which, for the record, we totally love by the way. We can’t wait to hear the full track which, we assume, will be on his new LP Kiss Land. So far, there is no release date for either the full version of “John Carpenter” or Kiss Land but we hope it’s soon.
Yesterday, we posted Avril Lavigne’s new music video for “Here’s to Never Growing Up,” where, incidentally, she appears to be incapable of aging. Lavigne still looks and dresses the same as she did when she first broke out in 2003—just a little blonder.
Mariah Carey also happens to be another celebrity who looks like she can’t age in her just released music video for “#Beautiful” featuring Miguel. Carey, who has primed herself up for a comeback, looks, dresses and acts like she did a decade ago as she tried to Glitter her way into our hearts. No really. Skimpy outfits, lots of body grazing dance moves that scream “LOOK HOW HOT I STILL AM” and all.
It’s not that we don’t love Mariah — we do. We’re just still amazed she can pull stuff like this off when she’s 43-years-old. Kudos, Mariah, for finding the fountain of youth. It’s nice that you shared it with Charlize Theron who also looks like a total badass (okay, she’s only 37 but did you not see her at the Oscars rocking that Pixie cut?!).
By the way, can we get rid of the hashtag song name craze? It got old and tired after will.i.am started to abuse it with his latest offering. Just sayin’.
I was seven when I first saw Beyoncé sing and shake on TV. Even though she shared the stage with the three other members of Destiny’s Child back then, it was clear that Bey was the queen. With her doc Life Is But a Dream finally giving us a glimpse into her personal life, let’s check out the R&B diva’s evolution from talent show to Super Bowl show-stopper.
Destiny’s child
Beyoncé Giselle Knowles was born in Houston, Texas on September 4, 1981. Even though we’ve been saying Bey’s fabulous name for years, her family only let us in on its origin at the Life Is But a Dream premiere. Turns out it comes from her mom’s maiden name Beyince. Luckily for us, Beyoncé definitely has way more diva-worthy oomph.
She sang everywhere she could
One school play was all it took for little Bey to fall in love with acting, music and dancing. She became a choir and talent show queen, out-singing older kids and getting standing ovations since she was seven. Check out this clip to see eight-year-old Beyoncé werking a talent show in 1989!
First girl group!
Nine-year-old Beyoncé formed the group Girls Tyme with her cousin and future Destiny’s Child BFF, Kelly Rowland in 1990. The R&B gang included original DC members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson. The girls perfected their dance moves in Beyoncé’s backyard when they weren’t wowing talent show crowds.

“I’m actually a big fan of Shawn Desman, a big fan,” said the singer who previously met the R&B singer when they sang together with Elton John at last year’s Fashion Cares gala hosted by the music icon.”But this is my first time kicking it with him and seeing his shows, which I hear is amazing because I heard he can dance his ass off.”

Justin Timberlake has put comeback to music on the fast track as the singer has just released the official video for “Suit and Tie” featuring none-other than Jay-Z.
Just like his Grammys performance on Sunday night, the whole video is shot in black and white with a few old school elements thrown in there. It’s a little bit unbelievable on just how quickly Timberlake has been releasing new material considering he announced his comeback just over a month ago.
Congratulations, Jessica Biel, on scoring the most talented guy round.
Watch below:
While many might’ve been a little underwhelmed with Justin Timberlake’s latest single, “Suit and Tie (feat. Jay-Z),” things are starting to look up for the jack-of-all-trades’ musical comeback.
The former boy band singer performed two new songs at Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s DirecTV Super Bowl party last night. Titled “That Girl” and “Little Pusher Love Girl” respectively, these two tracks may just be what JT comeback naysayers (if there’s such a thing) needed to push them back onto the Timberlake love train.
Watch “That Girl” and “Little Pusher Love Girl” Below:
Dear Justin Timberlake, please just take my money already.
Beware ladies (mostly middle-aged moms): New Kids on the Block are coming for you!
The eighties boy band super group announced on the View Tuesday morning that they will be heading out on the road with none other than the masters of the break-up song, Boyz II Men, and Jessica Simpson’s ex-husband’s boy band, 98 Degrees.
Considering no one in their right mind would shell out money just to only see one boy band try to crawl back to their former glory, the boy band love fest has aptly been named “The Package Tour.” They’re kind of like pizzas: it’s a three for one deal!
The summer long spectacle will mark the first time 98 Degrees has toured together since reuniting last summer.
The 30-show tour kicks off on May 31, 2013 in Uncasville, Conn. and will include three Canadian shows in Ottawa (June 4), Montreal (June 6) and in Toronto (June 7).
“Rum and Raybans” – Sean Kingston ft. Cher Lloyd
One again, Sean Kingston has a hit on his hands with “Rum and Raybans,” the new single off his latest album Back 2 Life. The premise of the song is simple: All Mr. Kingston needs to have fun on the dance floor is a glass of rum in his hand and Raybans on his face (you know, to protect his eyes from all the bright lights and such). And all I need to have fun is this song pounding on the speakers…and some rum would be nice too. There’s a ton of synth, a robot voice, hard beat, Kingston’s signature reggae type vocals, and the one and only Cher Lloyd lending her sauciness to the mix. If you’re looking for some new party tracks I definitely recommend this one.
“How” – Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor gets dark and emotional in her new single “How.” The somber track is about breaking up and wondering how she can ever live without her ex-beau. It’s all quite heartbreaking and Spektor’s powerful pipes will give you chills. The beauty of the song shines through the video, which is shot with a combination of animation and live action. Directed by Margo Weathers, Spektor is impeccably styled with quirky violin-inspired makeup, feathers, and butterfly wings. Spektor’s new album What We Saw From the Cheap Seats is out now.
“The Boys” – Nicki Minaj ft. Cassie
All righty people. If you’re at work right now I would suggest turning your laptop away so your boss can’t see you computer screen because things are about to get pretty raunchy. But what else can you expect from a collaboration with bombshells Nicki Minaj and Cassie right? The track itself is catchy as hell alternating between fast rapping from Nicki and then slowing it down with an acoustic guitar and slow singing from Cassie. The ladies strut their stuff in leotards, hang out in a very pink barbershop, and pretty much just remind everyone that they’re sexy and they know it. Then things get a little weird and Nicki kills everyone. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Girls around the world, prepare yourselves. With Missy Elliott and Beyonce working in the studio together, you better be expecting some awesome new music that will make you feel proud about being a woman!
Confirming the collaboration on Twitter, Elliott shared a studio session in New York City on Friday with Beyonce. While it is unclear when the track will be released, Elliott replied to a fan on Twitter saying, “it was great seeing her (Beyonce) catching up because its been a while! Very inspired.”
This isn’t the first time the duo have teamed up. Having collaborated on songs such as Elliott’s “Nothing Out There for Me”, Beyonce’s “Signs” and even Destiny Child’s “Confessions”, it’s pretty clear these two ladies are sticking to what works.
So in celebration of this collaboration, here is a throwback of some the their work together.
“You and I” — Anjulie
Produced by Italian DJ Benny Benassi, Anjulie’s “You and I” combines a fun, danceable beat with lyrics you can sing along to. The Euro-track shows the Canadian artist’s versatility, as it’s a departure from her recently-released track “Headphones.” You can download “You and I” starting tomorrow!
“Anything Could Happen” — Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding first released a lyric video with fan submitted Instagram photos for “Anything Could Happen.” Now, the lead single from her second studio album Halycon finally has an official music video. The video is about Goulding and her soulmate getting into a car accident and is filmed on a beautiful beach in Malibu. This isn’t your typical car crash though, as the beach is littered with shining spheres, mirrored pyramids. Goulding herself wears a flowing gown. It’s a pretty heart-wrenching video and hopefully isn’t a metaphor for her real life relationship with DJ Skrillex!
“Oath” — Cher Lloyd Read more…
After month of hinting, Drake has finally dropped his duet the late R&B singer Aaliyah. Titled “Enough Said,” the four minute track bills Drake as a featured artist and includes previously unreleased Aaliyah vocal tracks. The song is reportedly being included on a post-humous Aaliyah album.
The R&B singer died in a plane crash in the Bahamas back in 2001 at the age of 22.
Produced by Drake’s longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, the song has been met with some controversy since its release.
It’s been widely speculated that Drake will be producing the Aaliyah album without help from some vital Aaliyah supporters. Last week, Producer Timbaland said that anything involving Aaliyah should not be produced with his or rapper Missy Elliot’s input. Both he and Missy worked closely with Aaliyah before her untimely passing.
According to MissInfo, that may have changed. Their sources say Timbaland will be producing two tracks. As of now, there is not word of Missy’s involvement just yet.
Another big controversy is the claim that Drake included a little dig at Chris Brown. Drake raps:
Running through the city with n****s I’d give a kidney,
Selling under 150 you n****s got to be kidding,
Is this even still a discussion?
Don’t you ever wake up disgusted?
The Toronto-based rapper may be referring to the measly 135,000 copies Chris Brown’s album “Fortune” sold in its first week. In comparison, Drake’s “Take Care” moved 600,000 copies.
If it really is a dig at Brown, an Aaliyah tribute song may not have been the best place to do it on. He should’ve got 40 to produce another song for that.

“Neptune” — Azealia Banks
Our favourite up and coming Princess of Hip Hop, Azealia Banks, is at it again, this time releasing a new track “Neptune,” off her underwater-themed mixtape Fantasea. “Neptune,” featuring English rapper/songwriter Shystie, is a charming track that mixes Banks’ Caribbean influences with R&B, her laidback, sultry vocals, with Shystie’s feisty rhymes. All accompanied by a whimsical beat and production that makes the whole jam sound like it was recorded underwater. Check out Fantasea for 19 new Banks tracks.
“It’s Only Life” — The Shins
The Shin’s second single off their newest album Port of Morrow comes in the form of a post-apocalyptic music video. “It’s Only Life” is a slower ballad about overcoming inner demons and troubled times, and The Shins knocked it out of the park with this unconventional video. We see a young boy and his dog being the last survivors in the area, taking advantage of their lonely surroundings, while Mercer slowly gets dragged away by a group of creatures that look like a way scarier version of the monster from M. Night Shymalan’s The Village. The song is sublime and the metaphoric video works perfectly.

Well this is a pretty unexpected cover. Usher performed Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” on BBC Radio 1 as part of his “Live Lounge Special.”
I was expecting him to change the arrangement a bit — put some sort of soulful spin on it — but he sticks pretty well to the originally vibe. He even pulled out an electric guitar and denim vest to tap into his inner rock child. He’s getting a bit of flack for it but I love when artists cross genres. What do you think of it?
Watch it here:

Who: Usher
What: Stripping off his shirt
Why: Because duh
Actual why: Today he released his seventh studio album Looking 4 Myself (this is in celebration people). [Source]

Seeing that Beyonce gave birth only about five months ago, she sure got back into shape really quickly!
In a video from her concert at the Revel casino and resort (the first of four nights she’s performing at the venue), the glamourous singer delivered amazing performances while singing hits like “Halo” and “Single Ladies” while wearing stunning, form-fitting dresses.
Bey is truly a woman I admire!
And it appears that I’m not the only one who’s amazed by the singer. Jay-Z, showing what a supportive husband he is, praised his wife on Twitter.

Once upon a time there was a Canadian boy named Justin Bieber who was mega talented and posted impressive covers on Twitter. Usher fell madly in love and signed Biebs to his joint label with Scooter Braun. Years later, they’re still doing (and looking) fine, posing for the cover of Billboard Magazine. The special issue is in celebration of the upcoming 2012 Billboard Music Awards.
And yes, the two are at the top of the game. JB’s making girls swoon with “Boyfriend” (taking a cue from his mentor) and Usher’s is making us gaga with ”Lemme See“ and “Scream.” Usher’s Looking 4 Myself and Bieber’s Believe will be out this summer.
