All you 90′s kids out there, get ready because Backstreet’s back.
Backstreet Boys are in the process of putting the finishes touches on their new album, according to EW. The currently untitled album is set to be released later this year. This album will be their first full-length album since they separated from their record label, Jive Records.
Band member Brian Littrell told EW that because their fan base are now young adults, they hope their fans will want to buy a hard copy of their CD, especially because of the connection they had with them when they were young kids.
I feel like Littrell is on to something—us young adults have a close connection with this band because they created the music that (along with Britney Spears, The Spice Girls and N’Sync) defined our childhood. Also, Brian was always my favourite.
The band members might be married with children now, but that doesn’t mean they have lost their talent or edge. The sneak peak of their album goes to show that the boys still got it.

Justin Bieber gets holographic for will.i.am’s new video for “#thatPOWER.” The video, which dropped Friday morning, is a highly modern visual wonder. The Black Eyed Pea producer also seems to be taking some sartorial cues from the Biebs as he too rocks some drop crotch pants.
Will.i.am has recently been accused of plagiarizing “Let’s Go” featuring Chris Brown from his #willpower album.
The Wanted has announced that member Nathan Sykes will be taking an unforeseen hiatus following his throat surgery on Thursday April 19th.
“Our lil Nath has to go in for an operation on his throat, on his birthday to make him better,” the group wrote on their Facebook page. “So please join us in wishing our brother and our friend well. Get well soon Nath, we love ya!”
The 19-year-old singer will have to rest his voice for about a month after the operation.
“The priority for Nathan, his label and management is that he is given time to recover and receive the best treatment possible,” said his reps. “The remaining four members of The Wanted will continue fulfilling the bands promotional commitments across the world.”
The band’s E! reality show The Wanted Life is set to premiere on June 2nd.
We hope Nathan has a speedy recovery!

Let’s just a moment out of our day to fangirl the living daylight out of ourselves over JUSTIN BIEBER’S NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR ALL AROUND THE WORLD!
After days of teasing his Beliebers, Justin finally tweeted the link to his new music video “All Around The World” featuring Ludacris. The video is basically a day in the life of Justin Bieber as he tours the world. We even get to see what it’s like inside Justin’s car when he leaves the hotel and his fans react when they see him in concert.
What I love about this is that you could tell the audio is probably from one of his many concerts as opposed to the studio recording. Even when it reaches Ludacris’ rap, it’s all unaltered sound. It’s really a video for his fans as he’s traveling all around the world just to perform for you. So anyone who’s bashing on Justin, please step to the right, because he’s clearly coming back to the top. Take a look!
P.S. Who else needs CPR after his little “Believe” whisper at the end? I think I do!

After having her new single leaked, Selena Gomez finally officially debuted her new track on Ryan Seacrest’s website on Saturday—two days earlier than it was set to be released, and eight days before she performs the track at the MTV Movie Awards. The Selenators even managed to crash the website when the song was released.
I have a team working to get RyanSeacrest.com back up… Selenators, u guys are in beast mode!!
— Ryan Seacrest (@RyanSeacrest) April 7, 2013
Selena Gomez wants to show us just how happy she is being single. “Come & Get It” is a new sound that we have yet to hear from the new star. It has a neat techno beat and interestingly empowering lyrics. If you thought “Love You Like a Love Song” was catchy, you will love this song. The single has already received great reception so far, and Gomez has thanked numerous fans over twitter individually, and collectively.
You guys made my day all day today. #Comeandgetitnow smarturl.it/sgiTuness1 Love you guys XOXO

Jonas Brothers fans rejoice! The wait is finally over. Over the course of the week, the boys have been releasing clips and stills counting down to their new music video, “Pom Poms.” Let me tell you – it doesn’t disappoint!
Pom Poms has a new type of sound that fit into their voice. (Let’s get real – they can sing a menu and it will still be a hit because they’re that awesome) It’s no “Lovebug” or “Paranoid,” which have more of a rock feel, but nonetheless very catchy. Plus, Nick Jonas dances for a bit in the music video.

Okay, he’s no professional dancer but we can’t help to want to cuddle with him after seeing him dance like that!
A trailer for Demi Lovato’s fourth studio album, DEMI, was released on Monday, along with some exciting news! DEMI is slated to hit stores on May 14th but fans will be able to pre-order the album on April 2nd (Canada and the USA only) and April 9th (worldwide).
The newly released cover art shows the “Give Your Heart A Break” singer looking fierce in silver body paint. DEMI is Lovato’s fourth studio album. Lovato is also set to return as a judge on the upcoming season of The X-Factor.
Walk Off The Earth’s Mike Taylor speaks on camera for what is possibly the first time ever in this ANDPOP exclusive.
Known as the “beard guy” to countless YouTube commenters, Taylor plays a round of ping pong against ANDPOP’s host Simon Mohos before he and the rest of the band embark on their world tour.
Walk Off The Earth exploded onto the scene after the band’s 5 people 1 instrument cover of Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know” went viral. The band have since gained over 300 million video views on YouTube alone and over a million subscribers.
For Taylor, “R.E.V.O.” (Realize Every Victory Outright) is more than just an album title—it’s how the band leads their own lives. He says he wants to inspire their fans to “shoot for the stars, stay positive, don’t let anything get in your way and realize your goals.”
“Do something you’ll believe in that’s fresh, a little different,” he said.
As Taylor spills the secrets on how to live a happy life to Simon, Simon returns the favour by teaching him how to say the Hungarian equivalent to “F—k, yeah!” It’s a skill we’re sure will come in handy when the band lands in Budapest, Hungary during their world tour.
Make sure to watch the video below to not only hear him speak but to see who comes out victorious in the most vicious and exciting sudden death ping pong match you’ll ever see.
Although Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience isn’t available for purchase just yet, it was recently put up on iTunes on a stream…for free. The stream will stay up for a week.
It looks like Timberlake really wants to get us all really excited for the release of his first album in seven years.
After listening to the stream, I came to the conclusion that the album is everything I could have wanted and more. It’s a healthy balance of everything we love about JT (i.e. falsetto and sensual beats) and new styles we have not heard yet from Timberlake, like jazz (quick! Jazz hands!).
Timberlake has always been dapper, more so now as all his performances have been done in the obligatory suit and tie attire. This album is his white tie, top hat, and tails as it’s pop meets crooner, with a hint of R&B.
It really makes you respect Justin Timberlake and the amount of worth that went into creating his comeback. It’s very clear this album took a lot of time and planning as every track is perfect and lends itself perfectly to the next. Being able to hearing the album on stream gives you the full effect as opposed to hitting random on your illegal download.
I enjoyed each and every track as they’re all similar but different from the one before it.
“The 20/20 Experience” will be released March 19, and is available for pre-order.
Read our review of every track below:
Little Pusher Love Girl
Pusher love is the sexy song of this album with it’s smooth and sensual vibe. Just when you think you can’t love this song enough, Timberlake starts to rap — something I didn’t realize he could do. This song is just fun to listen to as it’s a mix of different sounds that just happens to work together.
Suit & Tie
We all know and love “Suit & Tie” already. It’s already a big chart topper and was the perfect single to release from this album. In a way “Suit & Tie” encompasses the whole feel of the album as it represents the album’s clean cut yet sexy sound.
Don’t Hold the Walls
New Kids On The Block just released their music video for “Remix (I Like The).”
The video is set at a summer party, complete with a live band and people making small talk with one another. There’s always that one awkward person who is sitting on the couch, by themselves, eating whatever’s on the table.
So what happens if that wallflower decides to break out? That’s what happens in the video. We see the wallflower, portrayed by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s Artemis Pebdani, breaking out and going wild, basically taking the party with her. She’s pretty much looks like you whenever you’re home alone listening to this some dope music (or is this just me?).
Fangirling over their looks? Check. Synchronized boy band moves? Check. Synchronized swimming? Check. This video pretty much has all the elements of a good boy band video!

Justin Bieber has recently released the lyric video for his upcoming single, “Right Here,” featuring felling Canadian superstar Drake.
The video is a treat in itself as it uses stop motion to bring the baby-faced pop singer’s words to life as they scroll between and on sets of speakers.
“Right Here” is just one of the many hits on Bieber’s Believe album and will soon join “Beauty and the Beat,” “As Long As You Love Me,” and “All Around The World” as one of the album’s best single.
Singer-songwriter Anjulie is currently touring all across Canada with none other than Shawn Desman!
“I’m actually a big fan of Shawn Desman, a big fan,” said the singer who previously met the R&B singer when they sang together with Elton John at last year’s Fashion Cares gala hosted by the music icon.”But this is my first time kicking it with him and seeing his shows, which I hear is amazing because I heard he can dance his ass off.”
The “You and I” singer will visit seven cities across Canada, including Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto. Anjulie is currently nominated for Dance Record of the Year for this year’s JUNO Awards.
“We’re just really excited for the tour but we’re not excited to be driving through this torrential in a van all across Canada,” she said. “It’ll be an adventure.”
In this exclusive video of Anjulie prepping for her cross country tour, the singer shows off some of her sick dance moves and dishes on how her training routine. Make sure to catch Anjulie and Shawn Desman live when they roll into your ‘hood (remaining tour dates below)!

British boy band Lawson paid a visit to our fair city earlier this month during their first North American tour. Luckily for us, the quintet was nice enough to sit down for a good old fashion livestream. The boys were kind enough to answer our questions as well as perform four songs for their dedicated Canadian fans!
Missed the show? Don’t fret! Here’s every song from their acoustic set at Toronto’s Gibson Guitar and watch the livestream in full here.

Standing In The Dark
Taking Over Me
When She Was Mine
After having already dominated the U.K. pop music scene, British girl group The Saturdays have decided to try their luck at making it big in North America.
To help them make their mark on Hollywood with their own E! reality show, Chasing The Saturdays, which document their life as they record their fourth studio album in America. The girls have also recently released their latest single, “What About Us,” featuring Grammy-award winning artist, Sean Paul.
ANDPOP caught up with The Saturdays’ Vanessa White to talk about the show, charities, and life on the road.
The Saturdays’ American Dreams
According to White, it was just a matter of perfect timing before the band tried to release music in the US. “It’s definitely something we wanted to do straight away since the beginning but it was finding the time to actually go and do it,” she said. White adds that the band wanted to make sure they were well established in the UK before releasing music anywhere else. Now just seemed like the perfect time to move to the U.S.
Girl Groups in the U.S. VS. the U.K.
White says she has no idea why girl groups seem to be bigger in the U.K. than in North America.
“I feel like all of a sudden there’s this whole British feel that everyone’s loving [in North America] but there has been no girl bands,” White says. “I guess that’s one of our reasons for going over there because we feel like there should be!”
On having cameras on them 24/7 for Chasing The Saturdays
White says the band wanted to make the show as authentic as possible. “It’s definitely something we were nervous about but we felt like if we were going to do a reality show we had to give them everything,” White says. “There’s a lot of personal stuff in there as well and we just wanted it to be relatable to young girls.”
Sisterly Love
Even though the band was put together separately through auditions, they hit it off straight away and had great chemistry, says White. “We are completely different five girls and it’s really weird that all of us really do get on but we’re just like sisters,” she White. “When you watch the show there’s no hiding that.”
Charity Work
White had just finished a photo shoot for U.K. charity Comic Relief before getting on the phone with us all the way from London. “[Charity] is really, really important and whenever we can, we always get involved because we’re really lucky and privileged to be in the position we are,” she said.

Justin Timberlake has put comeback to music on the fast track as the singer has just released the official video for “Suit and Tie” featuring none-other than Jay-Z.
Just like his Grammys performance on Sunday night, the whole video is shot in black and white with a few old school elements thrown in there. It’s a little bit unbelievable on just how quickly Timberlake has been releasing new material considering he announced his comeback just over a month ago.
Congratulations, Jessica Biel, on scoring the most talented guy round.

After watching Justin Timberlake class up the Grammys last night with his suited-up moves and one-listen-will-make-you-pregnant voice, I’d say JT is once again the hottest Justin the world. As we eagerly await his comeback album, let’s have our own 20/20 Experience into his old school days with these vintage pics and clips of lil Justin.
He’s a country kid
Justin Randall Timberlake was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 31, 1981. His middle name comes from papa Timberlake, a church choir director who got Justin hooked on country tunes growing up. It didn’t take long for Justin to start belting Memphis saloon songs either…
His cute TV debut!
Before “Suit & Tie,” JT was all about cowboy duds and country twang. He made his TV debut at 11 on Star Search - a 90s American Idol for kids — in 1992. Even with a hat that looks like it could swallow him whole, he wowed the crowd with his take on the country tune “Love’s Got A Hold On You.”
He grew up with tons of celebs Read more…
