The Backstreets Boys announced their anticipated 20th anniversary summer tour, In A World Like This, on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show Monday.
“Backstreet Boys are going on tour this summer,” says Nick Carter. “That’s right, baby! All five of us are back together. It’s our 20th anniversary tour. We’ve got a brand new album coming out.”
The Jersey Shore‘s DJ Pauly D and Jesse McCartney are scheduled to join Nick, Howie, A.J., Brian and Kevin on the road.
The boy band have been working hard on recording their new album, the first since Kevin rejoined the band last year.
“It doesn’t sound like The Call or it doesn’t sound like the Millennium album,” Kevin told MTV News. “But it’s fresh; it’s new. We are trying to find where we are now sonically, and we are experimenting. It’s really exciting.”
The tour kicks off in Chicago on Aug. 2nd and ends in San Francisco Sept. 8.

Commander Chris Hadfield leaves the International Space Station with a bang before he returns to Earth today. The Canadian astronaut bid farewell to his home above his home with a rendition of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity,” the first music video to be shot in space. The video was even endorsed by David Bowie whose camp posted the link to the video on Bowie’s official Facebook page.
We’ll miss Hadfield’s regular tweets, photos and videos from space and we hope this isn’t the last we get to learn from the musical astronaut. Hadfield will board the Soyuz spacecraft with two other astronauts and is scheduled to land in Kazakhstan at 10:31 p.m. ET on Monday.
Sometimes you just get stuck, and there’s all there is to it.
These adorable little ducklings got temporarily stranded on a cement ledge while following their mom, and although they struggled at first, all it took was a little coaxing and one daredavel duckling to get them all down safely.
Watch the video to see the little ones triumph over life’s never ending obstacles! And props to mama for waiting patiently!!
Every time Facebook changes anything on their site, there is a complete uproar from users about how terrible the new features are. And, as I’m sure you’re all aware, the more changes they make, the more annoying posts you see about it and the more tours you have to take to get your bearings on the updates and make sure everyone and their dog can’t see your profile.
But what if this happened in real life? ExtremelyDecentFilms explored the idea in their new video and I have to say, it’s pretty spot on. Watch to see what happens when an unsuspecting guy returns from grocery shopping to find his home has been “updated” – without his consent.
Honestly, this video captures so accurately my feelings towards Facebook and it’s constant changes – they never actually fix an identifiable problem, but somehow manage to create ten more. I think for sanity’s sake we should all just stick to Twitter.
This cat was so desperate to make his way outside that he did what I thought – before seeing this video – was impossible: he opens five COMPLETELY SHUT doors by himself to make his way onto the porch and into the sunshine. Not one, not two, not three, not four…five. I was impressed when he got the first one. Baffled when he got the second. Floored when he got the third. And then after that it kind of hit a plateau. I mean, how much amazing stunts can I watch a cat do before I start feeling sorry for myself?
In this case, it was 10 – It’s so unbelievable I had to watch it twice.
From the Backstreet Boys to Celine Dion…that’s quite the range, boys!!
While it probably comes as no surprise that One Direction killed their rendition of “I Want It That Way,” most people would be shocked to hear the boy band also killed their rendition of Celine Dion’s Titanic hit “My Heart Will Go On.” It is a liiiiittle bit hard to take them seriously as they croon the dramatic ballad, but they did get to showcase some top notch vocals (I’m looking at you Liam!!)
I mean, really, does it get any more adorable?
Step aside, Jay-Z. If Bey is the Queen, then this man is the King.
It’s one thing to cover Beyonce. It’s another to take all of her best songs, combine them in a perfectly arranged acapella mash-up, and then sing it as a duet…with YOURSELF. Sound too good to be true? Well, clearly you’ve never been privy to the talent that is Cameron J.
There truly are no words for this. Just watch in total shock and awe with your mouth dangling open and try to control the drool.
It may sound like an odd combination, but it works unbelievably well!
The pop princess joined the infamous rock band on stage during a recent performance in Las Vegas and she held her own! With all the wigs and over the top outfits, it’s easy to forget that Katy is a truly amazing vocalist, and her contribution to “Beast of Burden” made a great song even better. After watching this video, I know one thing for sure: you should never underestimate the girl with the whipped cream bra.
I bet she woke up happy in Vegas this time around!
Taking the stage at Stockholm, Sweden on May 8, our fave boys from One Direction did a tribute to a boy band original: Backstreet Boys’ “I Want it That Way.”
We’re sure 1D can make any girl scream by just appearing but the men of the Backstreet Boys were very impressed.
Tweeting: “Heard @OneDirection did an impromtu performance of “I Want It That Way” in Sweden last night. Well done bros! http://youtu.be/7c2zn7hVRtY“, it’s safe to say that the revival of pop groups ARE OFFICIALLY BACK.
But looks to me 1D may have just been returning some favours. NKOTBSB covered ‘What Makes You Beautiful last year!
Either way, this is cute! Please do more covers!!
Showing everyone just how adorable he is (like he really needed to prove that to anyone…), Darren Criss sings all of our of favourite 90′s themes.
This is almost flawless, except for the fact that he can’t remember the theme for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
How could you Darren?! Everyone knows that one.
Somebody give this couple free gas FOR LIFE, because they definitely know how to have fun. With a free tank of gas on the line, news anchor Jack Rafferty gets this musical pair to belt out Bon Jovi and the Eurythmics.
This is what I call true bliss and happiness. These two also seem to be great fun during karaoke sessions.

Effortless style is easy to have during the warmer seasons. Mostly because you can just put on a short dress paired with some cute flats and you’re good to go. Emma Watson put the trendy in casual while she was shopping in New York City this week. Love her pairing of the drawstring pants, a simple striped tee and cardigan. Those soft yellow loafers just add to this actress’s effortless style.

The movie Madagascar has turned itself into franchise with two other movies and a television show dedicated to its rag-tag team of penguins. Let’s also not forget the number of shorts and its long line of merchandise the franchise based on zoo animals can also boast.
The Madagascar movies just get better and better, and have managed to rope in an older demographic. Everyone loves the hilarious characters, implicit innuendos, sharp humour and larger than life plot lines. It also helps that the franchise has a star-studded cast that include David Schwimmer, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
In the most recent instalment, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, their devoted audience has been introduced to a Russian tiger, a sexualized grizzly bear, and an emotional sea lion. It only goes up hill from here.
HERE ARE 17 REASONS WHY WE LOVE THE MADAGASCAR FRANCHISE
1) The mischievous penguins

2) Afro Circus

3) Gloria’s fierceness

4) The car chase scenes
5) Some animals are so fluffy you want to put them in your pocket
Yesterday, we posted Avril Lavigne’s new music video for “Here’s to Never Growing Up,” where, incidentally, she appears to be incapable of aging. Lavigne still looks and dresses the same as she did when she first broke out in 2003—just a little blonder.
Mariah Carey also happens to be another celebrity who looks like she can’t age in her just released music video for “#Beautiful” featuring Miguel. Carey, who has primed herself up for a comeback, looks, dresses and acts like she did a decade ago as she tried to Glitter her way into our hearts. No really. Skimpy outfits, lots of body grazing dance moves that scream “LOOK HOW HOT I STILL AM” and all.
It’s not that we don’t love Mariah — we do. We’re just still amazed she can pull stuff like this off when she’s 43-years-old. Kudos, Mariah, for finding the fountain of youth. It’s nice that you shared it with Charlize Theron who also looks like a total badass (okay, she’s only 37 but did you not see her at the Oscars rocking that Pixie cut?!).
By the way, can we get rid of the hashtag song name craze? It got old and tired after will.i.am started to abuse it with his latest offering. Just sayin’.
Rachel had her Funny Girl callback while the glee club faced a few obstacles before getting to regionals.
Secret Genius
Brittany’s SAT score was so unbelievable that MIT had to see for themselves if she was the real deal, and even though she scored a zero on their “simple” math test, her crayon doodling somehow showed she was the greatest mind since Albert Einstein (don’t ask me, I was never good at math). They want her to join the school right away and the shock leads to a classic Brittany meltdown, leaving the glee club wondering if she’ll even show up to regionals.
The Callback
Rachel had her callback for Fanny Bryce and what better way to end the season and show them her chops than a Celine Dion ballad. Her rendition of To Love You More was UNBELIEVABLE. Seriously, though, any time there is a Rachel Berry ballad in the first five minutes you know you’re in for something good.
Catfish
Nev Schulman was the only thing missing from this episode because the end of Katie was definitely worthy of an MTV special. Ryder went crazy from all the secrecy surrounding his online lover and threatened to forego regionals unless the catfish fessed up. Marley took the blame, but it turned out she was just covering for Unique, who wanted to make a real connection without her identity getting in the way. What she did was wrong, but would Ryder have opened up had he known? My guess is probably not.
Going to the Chapel…Maybe
From the minute the video starts, Olly has us swooning as he slowly walks up to the camera, guitar in hand and begins singing his latest single “Dear Darlin’.” Olly, why you gotta tease us like that?
In this behind the scenes video, Olly gives fans a look into his latest music video. We see a lot of footage of the Brit doing his best brooding look for the cameras and punching walls as he goes through a bit of a tiff with his love interest. He also offers some insight into the meaning of the song and how it’s all about sending letters to someone you miss and want back in your life. He describes the video as “sad, lonely and dark.” Aw, Olly! If you’re sad, we are more than happy to offer you a big old hug.
The video looks amazing and I know I speak for the entire #MURSARMY when I say that we can’t wait to see the video in its entirety.
Remember when ANDPOP got the chance to hang out with Olly Murs? You can watch that magical time in its entirety HERE.
After being signed to Pitbull’s record label Mr. 305 Inc., 27-year old up and coming hip hop artist Jamie Drastik has come out with his debut single “Chasing Shadows” and it’s a good one. The song offers a catchy pop/hip-hop sound that will have you up and moving. Having collaborated with Pitbull and Havana Brown on the song, it has all the makings of being an instant hit for the newcomer and possibly a summer anthem.

Rocker Avril Lavigne takes her fans to prom in the music video for her latest single, “Here’s to Never Growing Up.”
Lavigne told MTV that while she had her own initial concept for the music video, the directer came up with the concept of “prom.” Good choice, because the music video has a very fun, upbeat feel to it. Lavigne’s past music videos have been anything but that, but regardless the music video is entertaining. The song itself is the perfect radio jam, and the perfect song to belt out with your friends. [Ed.'s note: Is it just me or does it sound like "Complicated" but without the "punky" attitude? No, just me? Okay.]
There’s a lot of music videos out there that try to channel prom, but I think Lavigne did a pretty good job with it and, if I dare say it, better than most.
The single is seemingly a couple effort as her fiance and Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger helped write the song.
Cody Simpson fans are seeing double as the pop singer changes up his song, “Pretty Brown Eyes.”
Cody remixes his own song with a music production controller (MPC) and new elements here and there. He told Billboard he came up with the new spin while in the studio recording his next album. “I was working on a song and I got a bit of writer’s block,” he said. “I saw the MPC [music production controller] in the studio and commented about how not that many producers still use them.”
Make sure to check out the original “Pretty Brown Eyes” music video HERE.
