Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale will be releasing her debut album this summer!
Hale’s album won’t be what your used to from television stars. Hale told Teen Vogue about her album that “It’s country music, and I’m really proud of it.” She added that because of her busy schedele the exact release date is still being figured out, but it will definitely be out by the end of this year.
I’ll be sure to give the album a listen as it seems different from the sound most tv stars turned singers aim for. While most turn towards pop or an indie sound, Hale’s upcoming album will feature country music which is uncommon – and in turn intriguing.
Will you be buying Lucy Hale’s album when it drops?
Hunter Hayes, the country cutie, has made country music cool again. Of course I still enjoyed it before it was cool, but it’s nice to know its socially acceptable again to like country.
His new single “I Want Crazy” is just a reminder of why people like him so much. Like Hayes, the song is cute, simple, and just really easy to love.
“I Want Crazy” is a single from his upcoming album Encore. You can preorder the album now on iTunes.
On top of all his other projects, country singer Brad Paisley is now getting involved with television, creating the new theme song for one of your least favourite shows. The musician premiered his parody song called “The Ballad of Honey Boo Boo” on Jimmy Kimmel.

The country singer manages to bring patriotic pride to one of the worst “reality” shows in television history. For that, we salute you Brad Paisley!

The best Christmas gift ever has come early this year — a Grease reunion. Kind of. Our favourite fictional couple Sandy and Danny, aka Olivia Newton John and John Travolta, has teamed up this year to make a Christmas album. As if they didn’t supply us with enough hits to sing along to, they decide to make our hearts swoon for the millionth time.
There’s just one problem — the album is a product of cheese. Lots of it. I was rejoicing at the thought of ONJ and Travolta teaming up again after all these years, until I saw their music video for a song called “I Think You Might Like It.” While I think the video is actually really adorable, the interwebz has already started to make fun of these poor souls. A part of me wants to hug the duo for their cute video. The other part just wants to scroll through gifs of it.
Here are 5 really cheesy scenes from “I Think You Might Like It:”
1. Run, Johnny, run!
When John Travolta ran his glorious self down the airplane steps, I nearly peed. Seriously. His arms look so little and excited as he waddles down the steps to see his soul mate bff, Olivia Newton John. What I want to know is if Travolta runs like this every time he steps off a plane. If so, I am so there.
2. Awwwwkward.
I don’t get it. I really don’t. This could possibly be a reference to the duo’s epic finale in Grease, but all I see is some major cowboy swagger. It doesn’t help the ONJ is wearing heels that look exactly like cowgirl boots.
3. Fake laugh.
“What am I doing with my life? Hahaha…ha.”
4. Run to me, Olivia!
The last time we heard from Swifties, they were covering Taylor Swift’s “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” This time around, TSwift fans are showing off their skills to cover “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Message to Taylor Swift: your fans are beyond talented, and I hope they keep making covers of your songs.

Taylor Swift is basically living my dream in her new video for “Begin Again.” The singer lives in Paris and bikes along the Seine to a romantic looking cafe, where she writes letters and sips vanilla lattes. We’re happy Taylor found love again, most notably because her new love is smoking hot but also because her ex sounds like a gigantic douche.
The video is beautifully filmed and her thoughtful vintage-y outfits are eye candy. Check out the video below and all of her looks underneath.

Taylor Swift’s upcoming record Red seems to have a decidedly eclectic vibe, combining everything from country to pop to dubstep. The chaotic vibe and mixed genres on her newest single “I Knew You Were Trouble” complements the lyrics of the song perfectly.
She said about the track on Good Morning America yesterday: “It’s a song that’s one of my favorite songs on the album because it sounds just as chaotic as the feeling was when I wrote it. It’s a song about kind of being frustrated with yourself because you have your heart broken and you knew when you first saw that person you saw all these red flags and you just went for it anyway.”
Her new single has a dubstep vibe, though it’s not so much Skrillex dubstep as it is Taylor Swift dubstep. The track was written by Swift, along with Max Martin and Shellback. The duo also helped her with “We Are never Ever Getting Back Together.”
We’re in love! The track will be on her upcoming album Red, out on Oct. 22.

Taylor Swift dropped the second single off her upcoming album Red called “Begin Again” and it’s an ode to love — maybe Conor Kennedy? Swift regales us with tales of her brand new beau, who continually surprises her by appreciating her awesome sense of humor (why would he?) and being all gentlemanly.
We also hear even more details about her horrendous ex-boyfriend, who didn’t think she was funny and hated when she wore high heels. (Obligatory speculation: Taylor Lautner??) Whoever it’s about, it’s a damn good track that we should appreciate without putting any faces on.
Anyway, the song is melodic and has that country twang we missed. It’s the perfect balance to the upbeat “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The track quickly shot to number one on iTunes.

Twelve-year-old Chase will probably always remember the Carrie Underwood Blown Away concert he went to on Saturday night in Louisville, because it’s where he got his first kiss. And it wasn’t just any old first kiss in the basement of a BFF’s suburban home during a game of truth of dare (what? No that wasn’t me), it was a lip-to-lip peck from the country star herself.
Underwood invited Chase onstage after seeing his sign that said: “Will you be my first kiss?” She warned him that her husband Mike Fisher was somewhere backstage and might come looking for him. Despite this, Chase boldly asked for a lip-lock, instead of an innocent kiss on the cheek.
Later, she tweeted: “Thanks, Chase, for the kiss and thanks Louisville for rocking so hard tonight! We had fun!”
And I bet you anything he was like this the whole night:

Meet Willie Jones. He got a big fat yes from all The X-Factor judges and Simon Cowell declared his audition one to remember. Despite being from a small town, he’s got a unique Fresh Prince style and has thunderbolts shaved into his hair at both sides of his head. The 17-year-old drove nearly 14 hours to get to the audition with his family and really wanted to impress the judges.
Then he opened his mouth and started singing… and it was AWESOME. But I’m not going to tell you what style he sang because we were like:

In a good way of course. [awkwardchronicles1]

We basically had a slumber party convo with Princess Taylor Swift last night when she hosted a live web chat with the world on YouTube. She told us about a week ago that she had MAJOR news and she didn’t disappoint. Swift revealed that she has a new album coming out on Oct. 22 called Red and a new single called “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” She also unveiled her new album cover (above).
Although Swift is so young, she’s also like an oh-so-wise Yoda when it comes to relationships. She said about the songs on the album: “They’re all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. And all those emotions, spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that, in my mind all of those emotions are red. There’s nothing in between — there’s nothing beige about those feelings.
She hosted the live chat from Nashville in front of fans from across the world. The album will have 16 songs, including the title track. It also features collabs with several artists and songwriters, including Ed Sheeran. Apparently Swift and Sheeran wrote the song while sitting on a trampoline.
She played “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” during the chat and joked “it’s a really romantic song that’s to my lovely ex-boyfriend.”
Who do you think it’s about?
I’ve already deducted through days of research that Taylor Swift is most certainly a princess. I don’t have time to go into it now because there are SO MANY REASONS (read about them here) and also because I have a responsibility to tell the world she’s hosting a live chat on Monday, to answer your questions and to share some supposedly big news.
Guys, I don’t want to ruin anything, but I’m like 90 percent sure she’s going to tell us that she was born a princess and has to brush off sparkle dust every morning so we don’t figure it out. Busted!
Anyway, her real time live chat is Aug. 13 starting at 7 pm ET. You can submit your questions into the live social chat during the webcast using your YouTube account. We’ll keep you updated on her big announcement, but I’m pretty sure I already know what it is.
But seriously guys, new album?! New fragrance? New movie? YES PLEASE (to all).

Taylor Swift, purveyor of rainbows with a voice like a harp, has been walking among us mere mortals since 2006 ever since she released her debut studio album. Since then, it’s become evident to myself and rest of the Internet that Swift isn’t just a pop country singer. She is a princess.
Hear me out:
1. She’s dating American royalty
Swift has been linked to various douches (from John Mayer to Joe Jonas) but that was clearly a front to throw us off. Now she’s rumoured to be dating a Kennedy, which basically means she’s with the bees knees of American royalty. She and Robert F. Kennedy’s grandson Conor Kennedy have been cozying up together in Hyannis Port, Mass, going sailing and eating at a local pizzeria. If that’s not enough, I’m pretty sure you can see the faint hint of glitter burst from the soles of Taylor’s feet in the photos of her and Prince Charming.
2. She can talk to animals
Taylor enlightened us a few months ago when she revealed her unique skill of jabbering with fairytale creatures, namely her fluffy feline Meredith. She proceeded to share Instagram photos of her cray adventures with said cat over Twitter. Proof that only princesses can talk to animals, remember the Disney princesses of yore:

3. Her lyrics are contradictory Read more…

Oh Taylor Swift, she of princess-style dresses and butterfly makeup. She has the coolest cat ever and they love hanging out to discuss the philosophy of Kierkegaard and the meaning of Harmony Korine’s latest film.
Well actually they just hang out and play fetch. But that’s still pretty cool because Meredith is a cat after all, and not a dog. Taylor loaded this Viddy up today so we could all marvel at her cat’s superb dogness. Also, we’re spoiled because this is the second she’s uploaded to Viddy in the past 48 hours — the other of course being her duet with Ed Sheeran. [Source]

Taylor Swift’s life is pretty much perfect. She’s the type of girl who has celebrity dress-up parties in honour of Shirley MacLaine’s birthday and lectures her Scottish Fold cat Meredith all about ACM voting regulations.
She also chills with Brit singer Ed Sheeran on her kitchen floor and sings with him while he plucks a few strings on the guitar. The duo sang his hit single “Lego House,” leading a lot of people who were already excited about them collaborating on material to LOSE THEIR MINDS.
Ed is penning songs for Taylor’s forthcoming album and based on their harmonies we know their singer/songwriter relationship will be freaking awesome.

Taylor Swift came out of left field with this one, mildly shocking us all with a B.o.B collaboration, but I LOVE it. The song, “Both of Us” manages to fuse country and hip hop. It’s also another one of those songs that I want to put on after a long, hard day because it makes me feel a little bit better: “I wish I was strong enough to lift not one but both us
Some day I will be strong enough to lift not one but both of us,” she sings.
The song is on B.o.B’s forthcoming album Strange Clouds, which will be out on May 1. Though Swift only contributes two lines in the chorus, the harmony works.
Listen to the “Both of Us” here and the solo version below.
Solo version:

Justin Bieber revealed that he’ll be doing a songwriting collaboration with Taylor Swift for his third album Believe and that it might have a country twang. Bieber announced the collaboration on the U.K.’s Capital FM Radio and hinted that the album will feature a range of styles: ”It doesn’t stay in a box,” he explained. “Everything is so different and that’s why I’m so happy with this album.”
Swift is just one of many all-stars contributing to the album, which also includes Drake, Kanye West, Timbaland and Diplo. Justin also announced on Twitter that the album will include a duet with Usher. You’ll have to wait until the summer to hear it though.
Justin and Taylor have previously collaborated in the past, when Taylor was a special guest at his concert.

I’ve always marvelled at Taylor Swift’s ability to remain constantly shocked and amazed at the world, like a kid seeing bubbles for the first time. This is how she looks 90 percent of the time:

That’s not a bad thing. In fact, it’s pretty charming that she’s managed to stay humble despite all her success. Still, it’s definitely parody-worthy behaviour. In Swift’s unofficial new video for “Who Me” featuring The Soup’s Joel McHale, she goes crazy for everything. She can’t believe her luck when she runs into full rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom and gets Tootsie Rolls at Halloween.McHale even buys her a bunch of appletinis, which apparently make her feel pretty. Watch to see whether McHale is a gentleman and holds her hair back when she gets sick. [Source]

While you were busy watching Hunger Games AGAIN this weekend and thinking about all the chores you should be doing instead, Taylor Swift was recognized by the First Lady for her activism and chosen as Entertainer of the Year by her fans. She effectively makes us all feel like beached seals.
Meeting Michelle Obama
Taylor was presented an award at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards by Michelle Obama for her outstanding charity work (above). Taylor donated the proceeds from a Nashville benefit show to raise more than $750 million for tornado victims and also donated $500,000 to Nashville flood relief efforts. Standing up in front of thousands, being honoured for helping the world and meeting Obama for the first time was enough to inspire Taylor’s trademark look of complete shock.
Entertainer of the Year
Remember when Taylor asked her cat fans to vote for her as Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards? Well, what Taylor commands, her fans to do. She beat out Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley with her army of fans. Win.

Taylor Swift will accept an award from Michelle Obama for her charitable work (yea, no biggie) and I can’t help thinking about how the pop princess will accept the award.
Swift always seems genuinely shocked whenever she wins. Yes Taylor, we love you, accept it! I’m thinking her expression will be something like below:

But seriously, the 22-year-old will be honoured by the President’s wife at the Kids’ Choice Awards for her outstanding charitable work, including raising $750,000 for tornado victims with her Speak Now fundraiser. [Hold applause, I'm not done yet.] She also works with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the St. Jude Medical Center, Habitat for Humanity and the Red Cross.
The Big Help Award is given to those who take actions to better the world and inspire kids to do the same. Previous winners include Justin Timberlake and Leonardo DiCaprio. You can get involved by going to the Big Help website.
