Following Madonna’s stint at this year’s Super Bowl, a variety of artists have been pitched for next year’s prestigious halftime show – even famous parodist, Weird Al Yankovic.

“This is a serious case to be made,” writes spearheads Paul and Storm. “All the elements are there: lights, video, costume changes, general spectacle. And given a stadium-sized budget? It would be awesome in every sense of the word.”

In all seriousness, let’s look at the facts: he has been doing shows and putting out albums for three decades, 2013 will mark the 30th anniversary of his self-titled debut and he has parodied every major artist under the sun. Over his 30 year career, he’s left his mark on nearly every genre: Queen, Madonna, Nirvana, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus – just to name a few.

It would be a clean, entertaining, family-friendly show that meets all of the NFL standards.

You can sign the petition that currently holds 2,500 signatures and the #WeirdAlSuperBowl trend has started to surface across all those social media outlets. It’s time for change and we want it now.

Guess somebody’s not going to be whipping their hair back and forth anymore.

The 11-year-old singer who has a new song out now with Nicki Minaj, recently shaved her head, as you can see on her WhoSay page.

Hair seems to be a big thing for the  tween sensation. When she was last interviewed by MTV, she dished on her most regrettable hair choices, and an afro topped her list.

According to her Twitter page, the daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is currently on a trip to Costa Rica. With such hot temperatures in that South American country, it’s probably a good thing she got rid of all that hair.

The guy famous for his twisted role on “Dexter”, Michael C. Hall, has moved on from his divorce from co-star Jennifer Carpenter with….Jennifer Carpenter!

The couple finalized their divorce in December but they’ve been spotted looking like a normal married couple in Venice Beach yesterday.

Michael and Jenn have been through a lot as a married couple. Jenn never left his side while he was undergoing cancer treatment. Seems like there’s still hope for the two.

“He is and always will be one of my best friends in the world. Just because the marriage ended doesn’t mean the love isn’t still there,” Carpenter told reporters last year.

So much for irreconcilable differences.

Director Kevin Smith has revealed he’s been working on a cartoon version of “Jay and Silent Bob”.

Kevin spilled the beans when he spoke with Crave Online last week.

“We just never told anybody, but it’s a cartoon movie that ends with live action. The idea is we’re going to take this Jay and Bob cartoon movie on tour like we did with Red State,” he said.

The animated movie will feature a lot of superheroes and “funny shit”, he says.

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, we didn’t expect fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld to apologize over his nasty comment on Adele’s weight.

We spoke to soon, it seems. Karl touched base with New York Metro, where the initial interview had been printed, and said he’s Adele’s biggest admirer.

He saved face by saying:

“What I said was in relation to Lana Del Rey and the sentence has since been taken out of context from how it was originally published.”

He went on to express how much he loves her music.

“I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can’t wait for her next CD.”

No, this is not a movie still. This is real life.

Both Arnold of “The Terminator” fame and Rocky himself were seen sharing a hospital room together the other night.

Arnold, who’s currently filming “The Expendables 2″, was injured during a stunt and had to be taken to the hospital for a shoulder surgery. It just so happens that Sylvester Stallone was taken to the same place for the same surgery.

The Terminator shared the above photo with his fans on his Who Say page. He wrote:

“After all the action, stunts & physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder. Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery. Now we’re ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb.”

How does that saying go again? If you like it when you should have put a trademark on it?

It appears new parents Jay-Z and Beyonce are going to brand their new daughter’s name. Not for prosperity but for products.

E! Online reports the two were spotted filing paperwork with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office on Janaury 26. They want to take ownership of their daughter’s name if any opportunist wants to make money off of it. For instance, I can’t come out with a line of baby formula called “Blue Ivy” anymore, unless I want to get sued for millions.

Apparently any parent, whether they’re famous or not, can trademark their child’s name while they’re still a minor. It just takes a lot of paperwork.

We’re all used to reading about nasty, pricey divorces in Hollywood. Russell Brand and Katy Perry are keeping things clean this time around.

TMZ reports because the two didn’t sign a pre-nup when they wed in 2010, Russell’s entitled to at least $20 million of the California girl’s money.

So, the provocative comedian could have score a fortune if he exercises his community property rights.  But alas, he’s taking the higher road and leaving Katy and her millions alone.

“This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch,” his lawyer says. (That’s Yiddish for a good person.)

MTV’s beloved prank show is back on-air after a four-year hiatus.

“Punk’d” is back in March with a new look and feel, the station reports.

The first episode will air March 29 before Pauly D’s spin-off show. It promises to be a good hour of entertainment.

Ashton Kutcher won’t be returning as the zany host. Instead, each week will welcome a different celeb as the ringmaster. Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Kellan Lutz, Hayden Panettiere and Bam Margera are among the list of hosts.

They will prank their fellow Hollywood pals, including Khloe Kardashian, “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Posey, Demi Lovato and many more. I can’t wait!

The trailer for the 30965976th Bourne movie finally came out today.

If you’re watching and wondering what the hell Jeremy Renner is doing there, well, he’s gone to replace Matt Damon. Matt was smart enough to get out before he could.

The fourth in the Bourne series features Jeremy playing the role of Aaron Cross, opposite Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton. The franchise has earned over $1 billion at the box office and with these big names behind the latest flick, those numbers will be going up.

Pharrell Williams likes to keep a low profile when he’s busy at work but since the new years started he hasn’t been shy to share who he’s spending time with.

He invited Billboard into his studio, where we saw him recording with the biggest names around: Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ne-Yo and Wiz Khalifa.

He also invited the young Mac Miller in his studio last month to work on a few tracks.

Daniel Radcliffe, most famous for his role as Harry Potter recently confessed his love for Ryan Gosling. Get in line, Dan Rad!

When speaking to Attitude Magazine, Daniel, the star of the new “The Woman in Black” movie said Gosling is his celeb crush.

“I have a talent crush on Ryan Gosling. I think he’s fantastic and you know he’d be nice afterwards. He seems smart. If I was gay, I would go for a smart man,” he says.

If the two ever get cast in the same movie together, looks like Eva Mendes better watch her back.
