I seriously don’t know the relationship status between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. I thought they were back together but I just can’t assume these things anymore. Last month Selena’s on/off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber landed a double cover of Teen Vogue, and now it’s her turn to grace the newsstands with her cover of InStyle.
But Selena’s won’t be the only face you see on the magazine shelves, here are June’s other cover stars:
Demi Lovato
Selena’s former BFF gets on the magazine action too as she cover’s the June issue of Company.
Miley Cyrus
However, when it comes to former Disney child actresses none can compare to Miley Cyrus. She is this month’s cover megastar! Not only did she land a double cover for Elle UK but she also got three covers for V Magazine. It’s safe to say that we’ve all moved on from Cyrus’ Hannah Montana days as she is a bona fide high fashion darling.

Last week, Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries got himself into some seriously scolding water when he decided to go around sharing his definition of beautiful, and honestly it was like something out of Hallmark for douche-bags. According to Gollum—I mean Jeffries— beautiful people are skinny and carry the all-American look. Right, because if anyone was to define beauty it should be someone who clearly got a bad deal on a plastic surgery procedure.
In response to Jeffries’ terrible statement, gkarber on YouTube went to a local Goodwill collects all the A&F clothes he could find and hands them out to homeless people on one of L.A.’s poorest streets. His goal is to get as many people involved and start a movement to readjust the brand by having us, the people, visit local thrift shops and give out A&F clothing to other homeless people that A&F won’t donate themselves—any damaged clothing is burned by the company rather then being donated to the less fortunate. He also took the movement to Twitter with #FitchTheHomeless.
What do you think? Is this a good way to get a message across or it is giving the brand the publicity it doesn’t deserve?
WOW…well this changes everything.
Chris McMillan, the stylist who created Jennifer Aniston’s famous ‘Rachel’ haircut has admitted that he was totally high when the style was born.
“I’m 14 years sober, so I feel safe enough to say that,” McMillan told WWD.
For the record, Aniston has called the ‘Rachel’ “the ugliest haircut” she has ever seen. Worn during the first and second seasons of Friends, the hairstyle Aniston’s hair has practically help define the 90s.
Embrace what you’ve helped create, Jennifer. You are an icon.
Effortless style is easy to have during the warmer seasons. Mostly because you can just put on a short dress paired with some cute flats and you’re good to go. Emma Watson put the trendy in casual while she was shopping in New York City this week. Love her pairing of the drawstring pants, a simple striped tee and cardigan. Those soft yellow loafers just add to this actress’s effortless style.
Want to look trendy while dressed casual? Try these pieces:
Summer fashion is always fun. The warm weather finally gives us a chance to break out cute sandals and summer outfits after months of layering up for the cold. Unfortunately, with the best comes the worst. There are always those individuals who look like prime candidates for an episode of What Not to Wear with their socks and sandals, barely there outfits and Crocs.
Sorry, but ANDPOP is playing fashion police as we beg you not wear horrendous summer fashions. Please opt for cute floral dresses and simplistic shirts and tank-tops if you want to stay cool during the summer.

Tube Tops

How are people still wearing these? How did they ever exist? Calling this a top is generous.
Not Bandeaus But Not Crop Tops Either

Calling these tops is very generous. Walk into TopShop, Forever21, or Brandy Mellville and you will be shocked at what is being passed as a top – these are not even half a top, maybe a third of a standard top. Might as well just wear a bra.
Skirts/Shorts with Ugg Boots
Jennifer Lawrence and Sarah Jessica Parker share a moment on the red carpet.
It can be tough to find the right outfit for the Met Gala. There’s so much pressure to be dressed the best and the competition is steep! Like I said in Part 1, this year’s punk theme might have been a bit too high concept for some people to wrap their heads around. So while some celebrities made some honest but failed attempts at going punk, some celebrities completely ignored the theme all together. So here are our choices for the ones who did not quite make the best dressed list and the ones who completely missed the mark all together.
The Blahs
There’s a lot of the classic Taylor Swift elements going on in the dress, but I find the black so jarring on Swift. Perhaps if this was in Swift’s go to white colour it would work better.
Blake Lively looks like she is channeling her inner Black Swan, but there’s nothing very punk about this.
I love Jennifer Lawrence but this just seems like a case where a celebrity was contractually obligated to wear this design. J. Law is the face of Miss Dior so it makes sense why this happened. It’s pretty but not amazing.
Beyoncé arrives fashionably late at this year’s Met Gala.
Fashion’s biggest red carpet took place this week as celebrities, models, and designers descended upon the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art ball. This year’s theme was punk in honour of their new exhibit Punk: Chaos to Couture. While that was a fun idea, not that many attendees were able to pull off the punk concept. It was kind of like watching an episode of Project Runway where the episode’s challenge was too far out there for some of the designers to wrap their head around. It indeed resulted in one of the craziest Met Gala red carpets ever with so many spikes and studs paired with outrageous hair and makeup! I kind of have a feeling that next year’s theme won’t be so high concept (your move, Anna Wintour)! So let’s check out who made the cut on our best dressed list. And check back for Part 2: The Blahs and the Oh No’s!
Best Dressed
Nina Dobrev can rock on stage and the red carpet in this look, a perfect combo for the gala’s theme.
Loving the studded detail on supermodel Cara Delevingne‘s gown.
Nicole Richie‘s white hair was so jaw dropping and totally badass! The dress might not be punk but the overall look is. Read more…
We as a public talk a lot about how perfect (or imperfect) a celebrity’s hair, body, skin or style is. As weird as it is, we don’t often talk about people’s eyebrows.
This makes sense considering the eyebrows are secondary to the eyes – who really pays attention to eyebrows anyways? As long as you don’t have a unibrow, you are generally good.
However, this does not mean eyebrows are not important – the people with awesome eyebrows deserve to be noticed. Eyebrows really have the potential to frame or compliment a face. It could also make you some money, especially if you’re NBA player Anthony Davis who trademarked his famous unibrow.
What makes a good set of eyebrows, you wonder? Well, thickness, neatness, and general shape. So who has some beautiful eyebrows to lust after?

Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby
Summer blockbuster season is almost upon us and you’re probably just as stoked as I am for a whole new crop of movies to devour. But when it comes to movie fashions, summer blockbusters tend to be big on explosions and less on couture. There’s always just a movie or two each year that leaves the audience with a big sartorial impact. Most people are betting on The Great Gatsby to have the biggest style impact, but just because it has the most fashion hype doesn’t mean it will be this year’s most fashionable film.
So here are the movies of 2013 that you need to keep you eyes on for the film’s fashion and sense of style.
The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s famed novel is a rite of passage in any high school english classroom. This novel has made its way to the silver screen before but it is Baz Luhrmann’s super stylized adaptation that has us most excited, making it one of the most anticipated films of the year. The Roaring Twenties was a period of high fashion, artistic expression, crazy parties, and excess. No wonder it’s still a popular period for fashion magazines to take editorial inspiration from, and besides everyone loves a good flapper dress. Although this period piece has the most hype (check out Carey Mulligan’s Vogue cover), the ’20s inspiration might have already reached its peak during the Spring/Summer 2012 runways. Perhaps the film will revitalize last year’s trend and keep it alive.
Spring Breakers
A$AP Rocky is no doubt one of the best dressed guys in hip hop today. He’s not afraid to rock (or name drop) the likes of high fashion labels such as Balmain, Givenchy and some badass floral prints from Balenciaga. So take a page out of A$AP Rocky’s book and check out his fashion Do’s and Don’ts.
Sadly, Coachella isn’t about the music anymore. The event has now become a place for optimal celebrity watching as fabulous people dressed in swimwear drink and listen to more fabulous people perform.
Since Coachella has become a fashion show for most media outlets,we decided we would jump on the bandwagon. While the likes of Darren Criss, Sophia Bush, and Lucy Hale looked casual and adorable at the music festival, some people opted for a more homeless hippie look than fun and casual swimwear/summer wear.
It’s such a shame when attractive people don’t dress well when they know their famous person status is bound to catch the public’s attention. People will find you, and WILL take a few pictures of you. Dress with caution, and please look twice in the mirror.
Still, if paparazzi are going to be at this event, take your two/three pictures then let the people enjoy the show please. Sorry Darren Criss. I’m with you on this one. This blows, but it’s the way it is.
Geez guys at least get my good side! And watch the concert!

HERE ARE THE FIVE WORST LOOKS AT COACHELLA SO FAR:
Kate Bosworth

A thick-looking vest paired with lots of black for a music festival? I don’t follow.
Katy Perry

I don’t really understand what Katy Perry is wearing. Why are there faces on her skirt?
Ed Westwick
The MTV Movie Awards may not be the Grammys or the Academy Awards, but its red carpet always features some of the best dressed young stars—and the not so well dressed.
This time around we’ll stick to those at the MTV Movie Awards show who looked fantastic. Notable mention goes to JWOW who looked stunning (surprise!). Suits, dresses and lots of leather, this years red carpet had some pretty great looks.
Also, host Rebel Wilson looked great. Just putting that out there.
Here is who ANDPOP thinks are the 5 best dressed of the MTV Movie Awards
Eddie Redmayne
![]()
The Les Mis actor always kills it on the red carpet. This time, he took the Movie Awards show’s younger, vibe in stride and looked very hip as he layered a leather jacket over a denim shirt. The casual look worked perfectly for an awards show as fun as the MTV Movie Awards.
Emma Watson

The creative ombré placement works so well on Emma Watson’s adorable, fun dress. Does she ever not look amazing?
Chloe Moretz
![]()
Chloe Moretz is one of those young stars who always manage to look youthful yet great at the same time. She doesn’t try to dress older than she is, and always manages to find the perfect outfit that’s both tame, yet fashion forward. This patchwork Louis Vuitton denim dress is perfect for the casual look most go for at the MTV Movie Awards, and her shoes are killer.
Skylar Astin

Definitely the most dapper looking of the night. You can never go wrong with a classic black suit . The no tie, open button up shirt really helps to bring the suit down a notch for a more casual, fun look.

Disclaimer #1: I’m from Ottawa. Born and raised. Disclaimer #2: I love Rihanna. Ever since “Pon de Replay.” Disclaimer #3: This post about Rihanna in an Ottawa Senators jersey is me being selfish so that this moment can live forever on the interwebz. Disclaimer #4: I believe this moment is a sign from the universe that me and Rihanna are meant to be. Disclaimer #5: I will now try to work Rihanna in a Sens jersey into a meaningful and useful andPOP article.
A jersey or any other sports team apparel, whether from your fav team or not, is a classic staple in anyone’s wardrobe. The only trick is making it fashionable and working into everyday outfits—not just for game day. Sports apparel are handy items for any streetwear ensemble. Even if you’re not a sports fan, there are still ways to incorporate the trend into your look.
Now you might be saying that people wear sports jerseys all the time—which is true—and that there is nothing new to this “trend”–which is a little true too. But here’s the catch: rocking sports jerseys and sports apparel was in its heyday in 90′s hip hop and streetwear. With the emerging 90′s fashion revival, you too are seeing the big return of trendy sportswear to the masses. It’s no longer just for the diehard sports fans to rock a jersey or snapback (and don’t let those diehard sports fans discourage you from wearing their team logos). A big sign that this is true is the announcement that the iconic 90s Starter jackets are set to make their return this fall, first with the NFL line followed by the NBA collection.
The Good Old Hockey Game: Rihanna

Here is Rihanna in West Hollywood using a heritage Ottawa Sens jersey as a dress. Now I don’t recommend using a sports jersey as a dress because not everyone can pull it off, but clearly Rihanna can and beside she probably doesn’t give a fuq. Anyways, she glams up her look with nice gold accessories and and golden Tom Ford ankle cuff shoes. I like this look because it makes me want to believe that the people of Barbados are all diehard hockey fans.
Nicola Roberts
![]()
Now this isn’t a slight to Montreal Canadiens fans (however, you will notice that there will be no Toronto Maple Leafs pics on this post) but this is an example of how not to wear a jersey as a dress. Nicola Roberts (one fifth of U.K. girl group Girls Aloud) actually wore this to a ‘red carpet’ event for the premiere of her reality show. This look is strictly streetwear! It’s all about context, so the posh surrounding just makes her cheap in comparison. Plus, she could have done a lot better accessorizing her outfit! Obviously this wasn’t well received in the U.K., where someone mistook this outfit to be from an American football team.

Justin Bieber is having a crazy time right now. March started with a wild and shirtless 19th birthday party in London which apparently turned out to be the worst birthday ever, he collapsed on stage, he hit a paparazzo, got dissed by his ex Selena, and then got his pet monkey confiscated! That last one sounds unreal, like when did J-Biebs get a monkey anyway?!
Hopefully the month of April will be a turning point for Justin and it’s already off to a good start with the release of his duel Teen Vogue covers for the magazine’s May issue. Judge which cover you like best.

But Justin isn’t the only celebrity who gets to celebrate scoring a magazine cover. April may have just started but the magazine industry is already busting out its May issues.

So check out who also landed themselves a cover and find out which celeb will rule the newsstand!
Oh Yoko! You’ve done it again! Your partnership with Opening Ceremony is just the gift that keeps on giving! But seriously, as a male I do confess that I know nothing about makeup so I’m glad you came up with this video to show me and my boys that there are no limits to what we can do with makeup.
This tutorial video is threaded together by a poem that has amazing lines like, “When you see a rainbow in the sky/Breathe it in/And make your room into a rainbow,” and “Everything that sparkles will bring you a sparkling life/Sparkling eyes, sparkling belly button, sparkling legs.” And even some great advice like “Take rainbow pills – but with caution.” Did we mention the background music? You need to listen the background music.
But it’s not all fun and games as she gets seriously deep. Throw away that mirror, she says!
Yoko has you or your gents covered with make-up tips for daytime, evening and dawn with all three looks just as kooky and amazing as the next. Her oh-so wise advice will pair well with the crotch-grab Opening Ceremony fashion line, which she says was inspired by John Lennon’s body. TMI? TMI.

Oh, Yoko. You win all the awards!

Women go through serious pain to become “beautiful.” We pluck, wax, diet and trim, all for the sake of beauty. Naturally, females rage about this all the time while men can literally put on anything and look half-decent.
While all this is true, and I agree its painful to see guys who have prettier hair than me, no on can deny what it’s like to see a guy who’s regularly well dressed. Basically, guys who dont live in over sized hoodies and sweats, and in actual effort.
Outside of the #menswear crowd, these men typically live in a fictional universe. Male TV characters wear the greatest sweaters and a lot of them seem to have an abundance of well-fitting suits.
Men in suits. Let’s not get into that shall we? Words do not express the effect of men in suits.
Okay, I am guilty of being melodramatic. Yes, there are guys in the world who do care about their appearance, but its always more fun to live in a fictional world where almost all guys are impeccably dressed.

Sebastian Kydd (The Carrie Diaries)

Sebastian always layers plaid and leather. His fashion sense seems a little advanced for his time, but it’s perfect nevertheless.
Blaine Anderson (Glee)

The bow-tie days are over. Everything Blaine Anderson wears is either too short or too tight, but he works it like no other. I also love his multitude of brightly coloured pants.
Kurt Hummel (Glee)

Kurt Hummel has the greatest, most extensive collection of perfect scarves, jackets, and dress shirts.
Damon Salvatore ( The Vampire Diaries)
Laid back, So-Cal cool retailer American Eagle has “graciously” taken the next steps in making skinny jeans even skinner with their Spray On Skinny jeans.
Apparently, this is an actual product that they’re selling online. For $49.95 you can get two spray cans, one in the light “wash” and the other in indigo. While they are available for men and women, all 1,000 of the limited edition run are “sold out.”
It’s like AE execs were reading a little too much into Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue (or lack thereof) and though that no, jeggings weren’t enough to burn the retinas of our eyes. They even made a commercial just to show us how disturbing this product really is (watch it below).
“I like skinny jeans,” says one actor. “But sometimes they’re not skinny enough.” Wait, what? Losing feelings in your legs is not skinny enough? Being unable to bend down is not skinny enough? What is wrong with you?
We have a couple of questions for those “people” who bought the stuff:
1. How do you cover your junk?
2. How do you draw on the pockets?
3. What is an appropriate venue to be sporting the “jeans”?
Oh, I hope this is just a really bad April Fool’s joke because I’m really not up for the task of trying to awkwardly sidestep anyone “wearing” a pair of skinny skinny jeans. Bumping into them would get awkward really, really fast.
WATCH THE COMMERCIAL BELOW:
it’s turning out that 2013 is indeed Beyoncé’s year. A Destiny’s Child reunion, then Super Bowl Half Time show, an HBO documentary, her own meme (courtesy of a bad PR move), a Vogue cover and now a high profile H&M campaign, these are all the reasons why we’re supposed to bow down to Beyoncé, right?
The above photo is just a small peek at the actual ads. The singer looks just as gorgeous as ever sprawled on a beach chair and dressed in very spring and summer appropriate looks which I’m sure the public will eat up once it gets a little warmer (kind of having a little bit of climate envy over here).
According to MTV Style, Beyoncé shot the campaign for the Swedish cheap and chic retailer in the Bahamas earlier this year. H&M will strategically release the full campaign as Queen Bey kicks off her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour on April 15th. The retailer will peg it all as “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M.”
Who runs the world? Beyoncé.
Crowd sourcing has become an efficient means fund a number of different projects — be it medical bills, video games or a Veronica Mars movie. Now you and your friends can pitch in to make a favourite t-shirt design into a reality with TeePublic.
Launched by Josh Abramson (co-founder of College Humor and Vimeo), TeePublic is making it easier for graphic designers to finally see their designs on a t-shirt. The way it works is anyone can upload their designs and if 30 people in a month (that’s one person a day) agrees to buy your shirt, the company will put it into production and with every shirt sold, $5 per shirt goes back to the designer.
Considering just how creative the internet gets (have you seen the sloth photos?), here are just some of our favourite shirts so far on TeePublic:
