Finally Someone Admits The Twilight Kids Are Doing It

It’s official! According to the superficial.com, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have had some sort of romance. The news comes from the original Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. In a recent interview with Time Magazine she spilled the beans stating, “I didn’t have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say, but in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn’t happen on the first movie.” I think we can all read between the lines as to what “it” means. However, I can’t really say I’m shocked. Seriously? Is this news? Two really good looking people can only be stuck together for so long and eventually they’re going to find their way into bed together.

Although, there was a considerable age difference between the two on the first movie. At four years apart, Twilight’s boy wonder was dangerously close to earning the nickname Robert Polansky. The director even cautioned the young superstar, “After I cast him, I told Rob, Don’t even think about having a romance with her,” Hardwicke says. “She’s under 18. You will be arrested.” Well, I guess Edward really would do anything for Bella. Even if it means spending some time in the slammer, once again Twilight is showing us all that love has no boundaries.

Sham Wowed

This incident comes after just releasing a product known as the “Slap Chop.” I’m sorry if I’m the only one that sees some comedy in the situation. Apparently, he offered the prostitute one thousand dollars in exchange for sex. I wonder if he told her she would “be saying wow every time?” Ok, maybe this isn’t funny.

My real concern, however, is that recently I started using “Sham Wowed” as a colloquialism. For example, “I can’t believe that just happened. I think I just got sham wowed.” Is this something I need to eliminate from my vocabulary? Please discuss. I could really use your help on this one.

Sir Perry: Erin Lucas – The One That Got Away

It’s not often that I find myself on top of a table dancing for a celebrity. In fact, part of me felt a bit like a stripper. Here I was adding another event to my list of most embarrassing moments. If you can’t see where this is going, I’ll make it simple for you. I fell in love again. This time it was with Rock and Roll heiress turned MTV reality star, Erin Lucas.

She is the always candid and highly sporadic man-eater off MTV’s new spin off, The City. It may not sound like a flattering description but make no mistake, she is amazing. Erin was beautiful, unpredictable and seemed brutally honest. Exactly what you would expect from someone raised by a rock star. Her father, Cliff Williams, plays in a little band called AC/DC. You may have heard of them.

It must be hard to portray yourself on television. After all, I’ve been told these pseudo-reality television shows are highly engineered. The last thing you want is your natural reaction to a situation making you the “Heidi and Spencer” of the show. Naturally, I was curious to find out just how invasive the cameras can be. How do you make sure you’re not a victim of crafty editing?

You don’t. As she put it, “You just throw yourself in there and hope for the best.” Perhaps that’s why (compared to the characters on The City) Erin seems the most human. It was easy to relate to her carefree attitude and that might be what I liked most about her. We talked about abusing our livers, seizing the moment and having a good time. We had a few laughs and I was really enjoying my time inside MTV Canada’s television studio. Although, I wasn’t entirely sold yet, I still had a bone to pick with her.

In an early episode of this season Erin had a sleepover with an ex-boyfriend while she was dating someone else. Needless to say, I don’t normally condone this type of behavior. So I asked about the escapade and what came of her actions. After a bit of prying, Erin admitted she’s still in the middle of “figuring out her shit.” Sadly, she was too charming for me to stay upset. So I caved. She won me over and I’m OK with it. Are we all not a little uncertain as young adults? If we all had perfect judgment, this world would be such a boring place. Actually, I’m grateful she doesn’t either. It made for fantastically entertaining television.

So that is how I found myself on top of a table trying to tap-dance. It was a desperate attempt to woo Erin Lucas and get her on a date with me. To my surprise, she said yes! (If you don’t believe me, please refer to the video interview) Sadly, after an hour and two glasses of wine by myself, I realized she stood me up. She must have gotten the address wrong. Or, maybe the time? I just hope it wasn’t an ex-boyfriend.

Sir Perry: Malin Akerman – Silk Spectre II/Woman Of My Dreams

In my travels with andPOP I’ve interviewed just about everyone. From Matt Damon, to Katy Perry and Jeff Dunham, I’ve met some of the most famous people on the planet. So one would hope that I no longer get the pre-interview jitters. Until recently, I was thrown off my game by Watchmen’s leading lady, Malin Akerman. I nearly passed out. I wish I could say I was kidding. She was so attractive I started acting like a nervous eighth grader. However, once I got past the voice cracks and nervous laughter, I got a hold of myself.

What’s more surprising is that she was equally as nice as she was attractive. While Malin was getting her make-up touched up, she actually wanted to talk to me. She asked how long I had been working in the industry and how I liked my job. What’s even stranger is it seemed like she was genuinely having a good time. I was starting to worry that some of my questions may sour the mood.

Initially, I was a little nervous about bringing up the fact that she gets naked in Watchmen. Nevertheless, I knew my interview depended on it; so I did anyways. She was so cool it – didn’t even faze her. We also both agree that it’s frustrating to watch a sex scene with out nudity. Malin added, losing the costume and opting for the birthday suit gave the film a much-needed rawness. I definitely agree with her. Like the rest of the film, the sex scenes were believable and more authentic than the typical comic blockbusters. Watchmen is gritty and Malin was a perfect choice to play your not so typical superhero. Overall, the actress behind The Silk Spectre II was a great interview. In fact, we got along so well that I decided I was going to try something I normally wouldn’t.

It’s not the classiest play to ask for an autograph and some actors won’t even do it. For my friends’ sake, I knew I had to try. As if they wouldn’t already be envious that I had interviewed Malin Akerman, I needed something to remind them of it. Surprisingly, she gladly signed my Watchmen pin that I ‘borrowed’ from the press lounge. I was on a roll and I was starting to think there was some sort of connection between us. Maybe she was my soul mate? Could it be that I had fallen in love with a famous actress? Or perhaps it’s just the fact that she looks amazing in latex. Anyways, I finally mustered up the courage to casually ask for her phone number. As it turns out, she didn’t think her husband would appreciate me calling them at home. So, I left the interview with Malin’s signature with ‘xoxo’ written above it, but no phone number. I wonder if I will ever love again?
