Charlie Sheen and Wife Expecting First Child Together

Charlie Sheen and new wife Brooke Meuller are expecting their first child together, In Touch Weekly is reporting.

“They are so happy and excited,” a snitch told the mag. “They are in love, and this news makes things even better.”

Sheen and Mueller met in 2006 and wed in May.

Sheen has two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards. He and Richards often come head to head over their children. Richards has alleged that Sheen molested their children, while Sheen is furious that Richards allows the girls to appear on her reality show.

George Carlin Dead at 71

Legendary comedian George Carlin died Sunday at the age of 71, just one week after his last performance.

His publicist told CTV.ca that Carlin went to the hospital that morning because he was experiencing chest pain, and died last that afternoon due to heart failure.

Carlin has had two heart attacks previously, and a history of drug dependency.

Though he was known for his crude humour, his publicist told CTV Newsnet that “the George Carlin I really knew was a very quiet person. He certainly wasn’t ranting or screaming about religion and language and politics. He was a very quiet, introspective man.”

It was announced on June 17 that Carlin had won the 11th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humour.

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds Call it Quits

Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds have officially split – after only two weeks.

According to E! Online, one of the major reasons for the breakup was that Edmonds would not take Murphy’s last name.

“[Murphy] was insisting she change her name,” a source told E! Online. “It was a huge issue. They were arguing about it before they left for the wedding.”

Murphy and Edmonds were wed on New Year’s Day on a private island off Bora Bora, but it was not legally binding.

“After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further,” Murphy and Edmonds said in a joint statement on Wednesday. “While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends.”

Murphy, 46, and Edmonds, 40, started dating in the fall of 2006, and got engaged last July.
