Ghost Whisperer Season 4 is now on DVD!
Melinda Gordon communicates with earthbound spirits, ghosts who cling to the living because they have unfinished business that prevents them from moving beyond the familiar plane of existence that we call life. Inspired in part by the work of famed medium James Van Praagh and of Mary Ann Winkowski, a real-life communicator with spirits, “Ghost Whisperer” explores the spiritual side of life and death as Melinda navigates among the dead and the living in her sometimes chilling, sometimes heart-rending and sometimes amusing attempts to act as an intermediary between the ghosts and those they haunt. Free music is sweet. Forty-four free brand new Smashing Pumpkins songs is even better. Frontman Billy Corgan revealed news on his website last week that the band will be releasing their new, enormous album via free downloads in a series of releases starting this October.
Though the songs are part of an album called Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, they will not be released in a bundle. Instead, the song will begin popping up on the website around Halloween and 11 four-song “mini-boxset” EPs will be released to the public. Once all 44 songs are up, a full box-set will be assembled. These boxsets will be available for sale, in some cases with exclusive demos attached.
Corgan has always been something of a maverick in the way of online music, beating Radiohead to the punch when he released Machina II/The Friends and Enemies of Modern Music for free back in 2000, Pitchfork reports.
Theory of a Deadman won recording of the year for Scars and Souvenirs at the seventh annual Western Canadian Music Awards, reports CBC. The awards, held Sunday at the Manitoba Centennial Auditorium, featured 22 Western-Canadian artists nominated for 14 awards in different musical categories.
Marianas Trench’s Masterpiece Theatre won pop recording of the year, while Manitoba trio Doc Walker won country recording of the year. The band was also named group of the year last week at the Canadian Country Music Awards in Vancouver.
Celtic singer Loreena McKennitt received the Hall of Fame award.
David Hasselhoff is at the centre of yet another 911 scandal, according to TMZ.
And it’s the same story as last time: he wasn’t drunk, he was sick. Hasselhoff’s people released a statement saying yesterday’s incident was because of an ear infection which he was treating with Antivert.
This medication clashed poorly with Antabuse, another tactlessly-named medication the Hoff is taking to keep him from drinking. The cocktail resulted in a loss of equilibrium, so when the paramedics arrived, Hasselhoff opted to go to the hospital for help.
His teenage daughter Hayley Hasselhoff alerted her mother Pamela Bach last night saying her dad was drunk. One of Bach’s friends dialed 911, who answered the call shortly after to escort Hasselhoff to hospital.
Well it came out of nowhere but alas there is a new iteration to EA’s Skate franchise and it’s coming sometime in May of next year.
Now I know what your thinking, will Skate 3 utilize a similar peripheral like Tony Hawks Ride?? I honestly doubt it. However what does intrigue me is this focus on TEAM BASED Skateboarding. Basically in this new title youre focus has shifted to team based gameplay and a co-op skating experience unlike any. other
Exciting bits include creating a team comprised of your online buddies and big group competitions.
And with early pre-orders you get your chance to secure a special skatepark – the Black Box distribution Skatepark.

“Oh yeah, he’d be great,” said Kristen Wiig.
Today I do not come to you as mild mannered gaming journalist Josh Salem, but rather, ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) Private Salem. Yes, that’s right, last night in the Fermenting Cellar at the historic Distillery District in beautiful Toronto (although it was raining) I completed (with fly colours) my ODST training from Sgt. Swaggard and his troops and got dropped into the pandemonium of Firefight.
Perhaps I should Explain. Read more…

PARTY ON!
In early 2006 Harmonix split ways with the Guitar Hero series and went off with MTV to create Rock Band leaving Activision to contract Neversoft to re-build the game that Harmonix arguably perfected. This move marked the day that split the plastic instrument community right down the middle.
While some people saw no problem with the direction that Guitar Hero went in there is a hardcore contingency of people that would like nothing more than to see Guitar Hero vanish into obscurity and let Harmonix’s Rock Band franchise rule supreme. It has been said that ever since Rock Band was released Guitar Hero has been scrambling to avoid doing just that by “ripping off” Rock Band any chance they get. Well if that’s the case then on September 1st, 2009 they finally caught up. Read more…
Talk-show host Larry King’s company, Larry King Enterprises, and his driver and are being sued over a fender bender that happened in November 2008, reports TMZ. The two plaintiffs are suing for in excess of $50,000 in damages for injuries they allegedly suffered in the accident.
“This is a completely frivolous and fraudulent lawsuit,” said King’s wife, Shawn Southwick. “There was zero damage to both cars. Our driver has an excellent record and is extremely responsible. At the time of the incident, the people got out of the car, and they were completely fine. Our driver checked to see if they were okay. We have witnesses who will confirm that. They exchanged insurance information, and as soon as they saw Larry King Enterprises, they decided to go for what they assumed are deep pockets. These people went to an ambulance chaser for an attorney, and as though they were filling out a form to get the maximum amount of money they could, checked off every box possible. In return, they will be on the receiving end of a big, fat lawsuit.”
A court date is scheduled for December.
