Natasha Lyonne is an American actress who is best known for her roles in the first two American Pie films, and has appeared in more than thirty other movies.
Singer and former roommate Rufus Wainwright wrote a song about her called "Natasha" included on his 2003-released album "Want One".
On August 28, 2001, Lyonne along with actor Adam Goldberg drove a rented Dodge over a curb into a sign and shrubbery. She then fled from the $2500 damage. Police were able to track her down. Refusing to take a Breathalyzer test, she told the cop, "I'm a movie star. Can I talk to my entertainment lawyer?" [1][2] She later pled guilty to drunk driving.
In December 2004, Lyonne was arrested again for attacking her neighbor's dog at her New York City apartment.
In April 2005, an arrest warrant was issued for Lyonne. She was charged with threatening to molest a neighbor's dog.
In August 2005 the New York Post and Access Hollywood reported that she was in Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan under a pseudonym, and had been there for over a month, suffering from hepatitis C, a heart infection, and a collapsed lung. She was also allegedly undergoing methadone treatment for a heroin addiction. The Post reported that prior to being in the hospital, Lyonne was kicked out of her apartment and living on the streets. Lyonne's father denied she was homeless and threatened to sue the paper on Access Hollywood. "There's a confidentiality between patient, doctor and hospital, so all of this is probably going to be a major lawsuit." [3] Her father also said he believed she contracted hepatitis C while filming 2001's The Grey Zone in Bulgaria.
