Hilarie Burton (born July 1, 1982) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Peyton Sawyer, the high school cheerleader with an artistic side, on the WB Network television series One Tree Hill.
Burton was born in Loudoun County, Virginia. Prior to her role on One Tree Hill, she worked as a VJ for the television show Total Request Live on MTV.
