Breaking Dawn: The Musical Parody

Ever since the first Twilight movie, Youtube has been over-saturated with thousands of fan tribute videos. If you google search “Breaking Dawn” you’ll most likely find girls hysterically crying over the movie trailers.

This ~~crazy~~ passionate group of fans has made it difficult for regular people to openly enjoy the movies because most of us are terrified of being labeled a “Twihard.” Don’t get me wrong, I love my Twilight movies but it’s more of a guilty pleasure than an unhealthy obsession.

Most fans take this franchise very seriously and that is what makes this musical Breaking Dawn parody so funny. Finally, there’s something Twilight related on Youtube we can laugh at. Hilly and Hannah Hindi are the women behind this full scale musical production. They are Sisters and go by the name “The Hillywood Show”.

The video below is very well done. It spoofs most of the big scenes in Breaking Dawn, including the wedding and Bella’s big night (if you know what I mean). It’s over ten minutes long and promises at least one LOL per song. Their soundtrack is made up of clever covers of Lady Gaga, Neyo and Pitbull with minor tweaks to some of the lyrics.

Take a few minutes to stop and watch this video, it’s worth your time. Also, make sure to keep watching through the credits to see an impressive list of passionate fans who made donations to help finance the film.

Chairlift and Das Racist Cover Beyonce’s “Party”

Brooklyn’s electronic pop group Chairlift took a break from touring this week to perform a special cover of Beyonce’s hit song ‘Party.’ The band stopped by an Australian radio station to take part in a segment called “Like A Version,” where they ask artists to make a famous pop-song their own.

In the video, standing in for J. Cole is Kool AD, one-third of the satirical hip-hop trio Das Racist. In his verse he raps about Drake and Common’s feud, Lenny Kravitz and even gives a shout out to Kanye West’s backup dancers.

I always thought Beyonce was the only one who could do her songs justice, however, after watching this video I’m pleasantly shocked. Chairlift has already wooed music fans critics alike with their second album “Something” but this performance should get everyone talking about them again.

Even if you love Beyonce’s original track, this version will have you questioning your loyalty or, at the very least, laughing.

I wish I could say we found this all on our own but, unfortunately, our friends over at CHARTattack are infinitely cooler than us and posted it first.

If the daily news about Snooki’s rumoured pregnancy or Miley Cyrus’ broken butt is getting to you, this video is a nice break from the chaos of celebrity news.

This adorable video has been surging on blogs all over the internet today. The clip features baby English Bulldogs learning to walk, and, in what may be the most effective uses of internet advertising the world has ever seen, the uploader Subburbanbullies has written in the description, “We have Bulldogs available”

I get the feeling they might want to start breeding more puppies. With over 300,000 views of their video already, this free ad campaign is going to send sales through the roof.

If you listen carefully you can hear thousands of people shrieking in unison as these little bulldog pups take their first steps. Also, if you’re having troubles with your significant other, this video is also a good way to get “out of the doghouse”. Get it????

As the World ~~celebrates~~ mourns the end of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” Kris Jenner was the subject of conversation at last night’s SAG Awards.

I think we’re all a little tired of the Kardashian’s relentless fame-whoring, and Kristen Wiig expressed our frustrations without saying a word. In an interview on the red carpet with E! the SNL funny lady did a short rendition of her beloved Kris Jenner impression.

She says nothing and does very little acting but her statement is well received. It would be nice to see Kris Jenner let go of her dream to be the fourth Kardashian sister and focus on her most important role, as a mother. There’s still hope for Kylie and Kendall if Kris spends more time worrying about them and less about her own career.

Cleavage, Breasts, Boobs, Melons, Chest Pillows. All buzzwords that are sure to get the attention of your fathers, brothers and male co-workers alike.

Regardless of how gross it sounds, your Dad loves breasts. I should explain, it’s not because he’s a pervert but rather that he is a man. The entire male species is infatuated with this particular part of the female form, however, we don’t really know why? It’s just a known fact that most men are somehow genetically programmed to love boobs.

Like any unexplained marvel of science, to get an answer to this question our friends at Rookiemag called in an expert. This video shows hollywood actor and female fan-favourite Paul Rudd trying to explain the phenomenon. This question, however, was even too much for the actor who was in both The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

Our friends over at CHARTattack.com have posted the newest video from electro-punk duo Sleigh Bells. It seems they’re finally getting used to all the attention they’ve been getting since their last album Treats. CHART best describes their new video saying:

“Alexis Krauss embracing pop stardom, with an ever-changing wardrobe that includes a leather jacket and short acid washed jeans, a red bathrobe, and even a blonde wig for good measure. Derek Miller provides the obligatory skateboarding and slo-mo mustard throwing that every video needs.

After the massive popularity of Disney Princesses on magazine covers, the Petite Tiaras Tumblr page has turned their attention to men.

The post features a few of your favourite Disney Princes on popular men’s magazines. Someone has craftily photoshopped the front covers of GQ, Men’s Journal, Esquire and Vogue with leading men from The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.

The princes are posing beside hilarious editorials will headlines like: “Ariel Spills About Her Brand New Beau ” and “How To Look Your Best at The Next Ball.”

It’s not a bad idea, considering these fictional characters are the blueprint for what every women looks for in a man. GQ might want to consider printing one of these, after all, very few women can say no to Prince Charming.

If you’re looking for a pick-me-up this video is exactly what you need to get your morning started. Whether you love dubstep or detest it, this video is guaranteed to get a laugh out of h8ers (h8terz? haters.) and fans alike.

I’ve seen enough videos of old people and children listening to Skrillex and none of their reactions compare to everyone’s favourite character from Seinfeld. My only criticism of this video is they could have picked a better song, Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits is played out.

It’s also nice to see Michael Richards going viral without having to drop another n-bomb or offend any more people. Without question, this could be a very popular meme. Just imagine the possibilities: “Kramer Listens to N.W.A” or “Kramer Finds Out There’s a Black President.”

A photo popped up today of a girl snuggling with her brand new Zac Efron bedsheets. While there’s no mention of where to purchase the novelty bedding, this product could make a lot of people very happy.

Just imagine the possibilities with a larger than life blanket you can wrap around yourself like a giant high school musical hug. Ladies, you’ll never be lonely again. And guys, imagine how much fun it will be to get busy, lying on top of the man of her dreams.

I hope for the entire female population this photo is real. However, there’s some fairly obvious signs this picture is photoshopped. It could be the blurring around the top of his head, or how the pillow and the top-sheet seem to match up seamlessly, but it looks fake. Sigh, looks like it’s back to cuddling with the life-size cutout of Justin Bieber.

One of the best byproducts of this whole internet sensation is how girls have been reacting to “Shit Girls Say.”

But what about Shit Gay Guys Say? Shit Black Girls Say? Shit Drunk Girls Say? Shit (insert race or sexual orientation here) Say?

It all started with Let’s Graydon Shepard and Kyle Humphrey’s original video starring Juliette Lewis. The video quickly reached well over a million views and an Internet meme was born. Unfortunately, there’s so many parodies of the concept it’s hard to find the original.

Seth Rogen stole the show from Ricky Gervais last night during the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards. Before presenting the “Best Actress In A Motion Picture Comedy” award with Kate Beckinsale, he announced:

“Hello my name is Seth Rogen and I’m currently trying to conceal a massive erection.”

Not only was this the stand alone joke for the evening, it also got a laugh Beckinsale who giggled throughout her lines that followed. Watch the video below and try not to grin as Seth Rogen adds another epic win to his resume.

The name is fairly obvious but if you need us to explain it: this is a parody of the widely popular”Shirt Girls Say.” A very obvious (but hilarious) take on the Internet meme written from a man’s perspective. As one of the comments on the Youtube video suggests it could be called ”Shit Boys Wish Girls Said More Often.”

By now we’ve seen just about every incarnation of shit girls, gays and rednecks say to each other and it’s nice to finally see a bit of recoil. What do you think? Is this fad ready to die or are we just getting started?

People Think Blue Ivy Carter is the Spawn of Satan

Buzzfeed has compiled a list of 25 people who have taken to various social media sites to propagate the theory that Jay-Z and Beyonce’s new baby girl is the antichrist.

Most people on this hysterical list of idiots believe that the name Blue is an acronym for “Born Living Under Evil.” Many are calling her a “demon baby”, convinced that the child (actually named after Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint” album and the roman numeral IV) is bad news.

Some have even gone further with their hypothesis claiming the name backwards (Eulb Yvi) is the latin name for Satan’s female daughter. Fortunately for the Carter family, there’s no mention of Eulb Yvi in the bible at all and most reports are denying any such character exists.

This is by far the most irrational theory of 2012 so far but it’s still so early in the year. If you consume enough narcotics, however, anything is possible. It reminds me of the conspiracy theories surrounding Paul McCartney’s supposed death based on the Abby Road album cover. Or another crackpot belief that if you play “Stairway To Heaven” backwards it reveals satanic messages.

We’ll soon discover whether or not Blue Ivy is the devil once the couple leak expensive photos to a tabloid magazine. If Blue’s rocking red eyes and breathing out fire, then yes, maybe those 25 people were right. Incase you were wondering, we saved you the time and checked the Google translation below (it means nothing).

Mac Miller has turned things upside down with his latest video for “Of The Soul” off his album “Blue Slide Park.” This somewhat artsy, triangular take on the standard hiphop video format is a nice way to let the song speak for itself. This video still has the usual dancing girls and wardrobe changes but Mac really makes it his own.

It’s a nice change from the house parties and red cups we’ve seen in some of his earlier videos. Mac also rocks a fairly impressive beard that reveals he’s actually an undercover GINGER. Does anyone see the irony here yet? It’s not really fair to say he’s a full-blown redhead but even a half-ginger making a video about soul is hilarious.

There’s very little explanation needed for this video. This is by far the best thing on the Internet today.

Jay-Z and Kanye have been playing this song up to 11 times per concert on the ‘Watch The Throne” tour and this enthusiastic fan proves it might be the best song ever.

What’s most shocking about this video is just how loud the man is actually rapping. He’s rapping at a volume that suggests he legitimately thinks that he is performing for 20,000 people at The Staples Centre.

There’s no news of what he ordered for dinner that night, however, I’m willing to speculate it was the ‘fish fillet.’

With millions of purchases across the world, a line merchandise and talks of a Hollywood movie, Angry Birds has impacted pop culture forever. As frustrating as it can be, there’s no better feeling than when you finally beat the newest edition of the game.

Most recently, Rovio released Angry Birds Seasons where you can destroy those annoying little piggies during a holiday season of your choosing. Many people, however, have already beat the recent Christmas release and have taken their love of the game to a whole new level.

YouTube user Kumbaric has constructed a real-life game of Angry Birds using Christmas lights. What looks like just another festive weirdo pimping out their house with enough lights to rival a KISS concert, is actually a fully functional game.

The YouTube description explains how they did it:

“Running on two computers and 10 Light-o-rama 16 channel controllers, uses more than 20,000 lights and less than one cent of electricity per game.”

The game works with an external controller with a chord long enough that people can play from their cars on the street. They game also features full audio, complete with theme song and sound effects that gamers can hear by tuning into 99.1 FM.

In a special Funny Or Die holiday video, Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendez and Jim Carey act out a drunken retelling of the poem “Twas The Night Before Christmas”. The narrator, Allan McLoud, consumed half a bottle of whiskey and read the poem aloud while the hollywood stars interpret his drunken mumbles and slurring.

Spoiler alert: IT IS AMAZING.

By now we’ve seen just about every incarnation of “Twas The Night Before Christmas”. Every single channel since the beginning of television has aired some cheesy made-for-t.v. special featuring an actor hopeful that Christmas will save their career.

Thankfully, the lovely people over at Funny Or Die have resurrected the story and captured the true essence of Christmas: holiday drunkenness. This video is a guaranteed laugh that you can attach to a holiday email for your family or coworkers.

Also, Gosling and Mendez (who have been making headlines as the new “it couple”) play a convincing husband and wife.

SNL: Jesus Visits Tim Tebow

The son of God ironically predicted a Broncos loss on Saturday night during a sketch on Saturday Night Live.

Jason Sudeikis plays a snarky Jesus who’s weary of Tebow’s overwhelming dedication. Tebow, played by Taran Killam, spends most of the video pandering Christ with fangirl-like affection.

All is going well until Jesus asks who the Broncos are playing Sunday and then the skit really takes off.

Jesus tells the Broncos’ locker room that he won’t be able to help out the Sunday they were playing the Patriots.

“If I’m the son of God, Tom Brady’s got to be the guy’s nephew,” Jesus says.

The irony here is that much like the story of creation, after six wins, the Lord takes the seventh game off to rest.

In just over 36 hours, the video has already gotten over a million views on YouTube. Let us know what you think of the parody below. Did they go too far?
