OK everybody, the Twilight saga continues with New Moon (ladies please control your crying). We were lucky to sit down with Canadian heartthrob Bronson Pelletier for an interview during the recent press stop in Toronto. Bronson plays Jared in the movie and apparently had to get jacked up to play his werewolf character. He also spoke with us about his relationships with his fellow Twilight actors.
It’s official! According to the superficial.com, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have had some sort of romance. The news comes from the original Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke. In a recent interview with Time Magazine she spilled the beans stating, “I didn’t have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say, but in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn’t happen on the first movie.” I think we can all read between the lines as to what “it” means. However, I can’t really say I’m shocked. Seriously? Is this news? Two really good looking people can only be stuck together for so long and eventually they’re going to find their way into bed together.
Although, there was a considerable age difference between the two on the first movie. At four years apart, Twilight’s boy wonder was dangerously close to earning the nickname Robert Polansky. The director even cautioned the young superstar, “After I cast him, I told Rob, Don’t even think about having a romance with her,” Hardwicke says. “She’s under 18. You will be arrested.” Well, I guess Edward really would do anything for Bella. Even if it means spending some time in the slammer, once again Twilight is showing us all that love has no boundaries.
For those of you under 20 years of age, there used to be these crazy things called VHS and Vinyl. VHS were these tapes that played movies and all sorts of video, in machines hooked up to your TV. Vinyl were these big discs which contained music that you played on something called a record machine. Sadly as Emily told Jordan, her newest projects, Hannah Montana The Movie will not be available on VHS and her newest album will not be available on Vinyl. Ah well.
Well saying he is the next John Mayer is a bit of an overstatement, but nevertheless Jesse is a talented guy. This artist has been grinding it out for a few years now (including some time busking around Europe) and the Toronto native is ready for his big label debut. We sat down for a drink with Jesse where he also was nice enough to give us a live performance.
Yes you read that correctly – Imogen Heap used her ass (butt, behind, rear end, whatever you want to call it) as an instrument on her latest album. You gotta admit that’s pretty unique and a little bit unexpected. We spoke about that and more during a recent Toronto stop. You can also catch her in Toronto on November 26th as the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
At andPOP we are all about creating efficient interviews that get straight to the point. In that spirit here is our interview with Chris Rock after the Toronto premiere of Good Hair.
So we apologize for the lack of editing finesse on this one but we wanted to get it up ASAP. Meet Spencer “Young Angus” Grabinsky, a 12 year old who joins AC/DC cover bands across Ontario. The good people at Sony Music Canada caught wind about him and asked Spencer to play around Toronto to celebrate the launch of the AC/DC Box set, where we caught up with him. This is what Sony Music Canada says about the box – The comprehensive collection of the band’s studio and live rarities together in one place, remastered to sound better than ever (many on CD for the first time), on 3 CDs and 1 LP. 2 DVDs brings “Family Jewels” up to date plus the entire 2003 Circus Krone gig. A 164 page hard-cover book, collectible merchandise reproductions, and a working guitar amp make this a must-have for true AC/DC fans.
Check out Angus playing through the amp here: http://www.acdcbacktracks.com/pages/3999219/
You can’t help but help and admire this guy. Not only is he a great musician who has received a ton of critical acclaim, he has done it all with a severe physical disability. We had the privilege to speak with the charming Justin Hines before a recent performance.
The boys from Mississauga Ontario are back with their fourth studio album – 1-up. We had the privilege of getting a sneak peak of the making of their video for “Take It For Granted”. Really interesting process to watch and it involved a lot of paint (if you have already seen the video you know what we mean)!
So we went to the red carpet for the premiere of the new film (now in theatres) but we also had a one on one sit down with The Trailer Park Boys creator Mike Clattenburg, and the hardest rapper from the East Coast, J-Roc.
