Doctor Who Operated On Donda West Surrenders License

The Plastic Surgeon who operated on Kanye West’s mother has surrendered his license to practice medicine in the state of California, according to mtvnews.com.

The doctor performed a liposuction and breast reduction surgery on West’s mother in November of 2007. Donda West died of heart failure after returning to her L.A. home the next day after the procedures.

“A series of complaints were filed against Mr. Adams, but he chose to surrender his license instead of contest them,” California Medical Board spokeswoman Candis Cohen told the site.

The doctor was a Harvard graduate who once had his own television show. The cited complaints against him include charges of driving under the influence and failure to pay child support.

Dr. Adams maintains that there were no complications during the surgeries of Donda West. The autopsy reports showed that West left the medical clinic several hours after the procedures and was left unattended in her home with heavy bandages and a prescription for pain killers.

“As far as I’m concerned … at least the autopsy report suggests nothing went on during surgery, nothing went on during recovery,” Dr. Adams told CNN’s Larry King in January 2008. Several months earlier, the plastic surgeon had walked off the set during King’s live broadcast, saying, “I’m going to apologize to you because I think I’m taking up your airtime, but I will not be on the show and I will not discuss any of that. I’m going to honor their wishes.”

Kanye West Is Humbled By South Park

In a recent South Park episode, the creators of the popular cartoon series poke fun at Kanye West as they call him a “gay fish.”

The episode, which centers around West as an egotistical performer who has rooted desires to return to the sea and live out his life as a gay fish, did not spark a temper tantrum in the rapper. Instead, Kanye was humbled by the episode, according to mtvnews.com.

Kanye took to his blog to express his feelings about the public slamming and to let the public know he was not upset about the burn.

” ‘South Park’ murdered me last night, and it’s pretty funny. It hurts my feelings, but what can you expect from ‘South Park?’” he wrote. “I actually have been working on my ego. … Having the crazy ego is played out at this point in my life and career. I used to use it to build up my esteem when nobody believed in me. Now that people do believe and support my music, the best response is ‘Thank you’ instead of ‘I told you so!’

“I just wanna be a doper person, which starts with me not always telling people how dope I think I am. I need to just get past myself. Drop the bravado and just make dope product,” the post continued. “As long as I act like a b—h, this type of sh– will happen to me. … I’m not actually a huge douche. I’m sure the writers at ‘South Park’ are really nice people in real life. Thanks for taking the time to draw my crew. That was pretty funny also.”

Pink and Carey Hart Reunite

On again and off again couple Pink and her ex-husband, Carey Hart have reunited, yet again.

Pink and Hart separated in 2008 after two years of marriage but remained on good terms and were frequently spotted together since their break up. Hart even appeared in Pink’s music videos after their separation.

Now, Hart told People Magazine that the two are planning on rebuilding their relationship. Hart told the magazine that “sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward.”

“The thing about Pink is she’s so dedicated to her fans and putting on amazing live shows. She might not see the record success of a Britney Spears but the girl sells a hell of a lot of albums. She’s incredible.”

While Pink is on tour, Hart plans to focus on his business and train to become “a great athlete again.”

Katy Perry Talks Girl Troubles

It seems Katy Perry’s recent split from Gym Class Heroes front man Travis McCoy has her talking to audiences everywhere about her woes.

At New York City’s Fillmore Theater earlier this week, Perry took to the stage to ask her audience if they experienced similar girl troubles.

“How many girls have freaked out in front of their boyfriends?” she asked the clueless crowd, according to chartattack.com. “I suffer from Satan’s period. It’s a beast.”

Perry also expressed her boy troubles as she told the audience that men were men were “like artichokes, it’s impossible to find the heart. You can be searching and searching, but only get the tough stuff.

Perhaps Perry will express some of her boy, and girl troubles on her next album.

“This record will be a very present record for me. It will be me now. It won’t take five years, hopefully. It will be Katy Perry as a young, 25-year-old woman.”

Eminem Gets Slammed Again

Eminem is no stranger to being publicly ripped apart for his crude and shocking lyrics, and it seems the more public slamming of the Rapper’s album, the more popular he becomes.

Fox news correspondent, Bill O’Reilly, has added to the long list of people who have dismissed Eminem’s new album as shocking and misogynist.

On Wednesday night, O’Reilly discussed Emenem’s poke at Sarah Palin in his new single entitled “We Made You.”

“Few Americans take the vile rapper Eminem seriously,” O’Reilly said. “He represents the lowest form of entertainment in this country and is a publicity hound to boot. It’s so crude what he does,” O’Reilly elaborated. “Kids see it, not adults.”

O’Reilly also expressed his discontent that women’s groups and other media outlets are not protesting Eminem’s new single, according to mtvnews.com.

O’Reilly ended his rant by stating, “All I want to do is repeat that Eminem means nothing, The video means nothing. It’s played for kids that are confused.”

Spears Gets Smoked

As Spears makes her way across Canada with her Circus tour, there is only one trick that can make Britney disappear from the stage; the smell of smoke.

It seems that during her show at Vancouver’s General Motors Place last week, Spears stormed off stage because the air was too smoky, according to chartattack.com. The brief pause in Spears’ set was approximately 15-20 minutes in length after which she returned to finish the show.

Rumors have been circulating that fans were smoking marijuana near the stage which prompted Spears to become agitated and storm off, but in a statement released on her website, that is not what her management is claiming.

“We want to apologize to all the fans who attended our Vancouver show tonight for the brief pause in Britney’s set,” the statement reads. “Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue.”

Spears ended her performance with a message to fans: You were wonderful. Drive safe. Don’t smoke weed and rock out with your ***** out!”

Zooey Deschanel is Tired of People Thinking She’s Katy Perry

Aside from looking “a little bit alike,” Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry really have nothing in common, insists Deschanel.

Although the two are both singers – Deschanel is in the musical duo She & Him – Deschanel told MTV news that she is tired of people always mistaking her for Katy Perry.

“The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike,” Deschanel told MTV News. “I have met her before. She seems like a nice person. I’m happy that she’s famous enough now that she’s not going out and being mistaken for me.”

“I used to get, ‘I heard you were out at such-and-such club drinking whiskey!’ [when] I was at home watching TV. I think we lead very different lives. At some point I feel like this will stop being a thing. I like the way my life goes. It’s sort of strange to be associated with someone that’s doing such different stuff than me. It’s weird.”

Deschanel is not currently touring with her musical partner M. Ward at the present time as he is touring to support his recently released Hold Time, while Deschanel is enjoying her engagement to Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard.

Run DMC and Metallica Take the Stage Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Metallica and Run DMC are two super groups that will come together whit old band mates and take the stage to accept the honor of being inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

While past ceremonies have depicted tension between old band members, as per the behind the scenes grudges between members of Blondie and Van Halen, Metallica and Run DMC are two groups that plan on treating the event as a joyful milestone, rather than a mix of bad blood.

Metallica have told press that they are not interested in any drama and plan to invite former bassist Jason Newsted to perform with them alongside current bassist Robert Trujillo. Frontman James Hetfield has promised that instead of tension, the group will make the night a celebration of their long career, mtvnews.com reports.

Run DMC will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Eminem, who makes few public appearances these days. Although Run DMC have drifted apart and are rarely seen in the same room together, this induction will be a celebration honoring not only the groups accomplishments, but also a tribute to DJ Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell whom was killed in an unsolved 2002 ambush.

Montreal DJ Misstress Barbara knows how to use Sam Roberts.

The Canadian DJ, known for her hard edge house and techno style on the turn tables is going in a different musical direction and giving songwriting a try. Sam Roberts, Brazilian Girls and Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn And John are among those who appear on her upcoming album entitles “I’m No Human” with will be released in May, according to chartattack.com.

Barbara (real name Barbara Bonfiglio), began working on the album after her father passed away in 2006. The album developed from her personal poetry writings and snowballed from there.

Sam Roberts collaborated with Barbara on the song entitled “I’m Running,” and the two shot the video in Toronto last month.

“Sam and I literally ran for 12 hours, outside, in the cold,” Barbara wrote in a March 19 MySpace blog entry. “And of course I ran in high heels… Ouch.”

“Sam has been so kind and generous of his time, he had literally just got off 6 months straight of touring hardcore, and instead of being home and resting he came in Toronto to shoot a video and to run!! What a fun day!”

Lilly Allen Quits Show Biz

How many times has Lilly Allen threatened to quit making music?

In a recent interview with the U.K.’s London Lite tabloid, Allen reported that she is considering retiring from the business after she finishes her tour in September.

She told the tabloid that she has vague plans of instead running a “fancy dress shop” with her longtime friend and perhaps getting married and having children in the nearby future, according to chartattack.com.

Allen could be pondering the decision to retire based on her recent issues with the New York Times and the Paparazzi.

Allen called the New York Times “cheap skanks” on her MySpace blog after photographs of her in her home that were taken by the publication were syndicated to tabloids.

Allen has also had many troubles with the Paparazzi following her and causing havoc, including last month when a photographer allegedly rear ended her car.

“There have been times when it hasn’t made me happy, mainly when people are being really mean to me or when I’m getting followed down the street,” Allen told MTV News last month when she mentioned quitting the business.

Trent Reznor Plays April Fools on Fans

A few weeks back Trent Reznor took to his Twitter account to express his discontent for Chris Cornell’s pop inspired new sound. He wrote: “You know that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable? Heard Chris Cornell’s record? Jesus.”

Although Reznor is not a fan of Cornell’s new Timbalake produced material, he was however, inspired by Cornell’s new album to pull an April fool’s prank on the public.

Reznor took to the Nine Inch Nails website yesterday (Wednesday) to announce that they have released a new album entitled “Strobe Light.” It was written that the joke disc was produced by Timbaland (a dig at Cornell’s recent crossover) and features songs such as “Clap Trap Crack Slap” and “Laid, Paid and Played.”

The site also stated that the new album featured guest appearances from Chris Martin, Jay-Z, Bono, Sheryl Crow, Justin Timberlake, Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys and former Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen.

To top off the hilarity of the prank, the joke album cover featured Reznor wearing a leather jacket and Kanye shades.

Spencer Pratt Raps

Aside from being a reality television star and filming the upcoming season of “The Hills,” which is rumored to be the final season of the popular series, Heidi Montag is busy in the studio planning and working on her next career move.

Montag is working on her new untitled album and tells sources that it is something she has wanted to do since childhood, mtvnews.com reports.

“I just pretty much live and breathe in the studio,” she told MTV News about her upcoming LP, which she hopes to have out by the end of summer. “I’ve never had an album. This is my first album. I’ve wanted to do music since I could talk. I used to do plays and singing and voice lessons and practice Britney routines when I was, like, 12. This is the biggest dream of my life.”

Heidi explained that her album has a dance vibe and features songs about her relationship with Spencer Pratt. Besides singing about him, Montag told MTV News that she would actually like to get Pratt to expose his musical talent on her album.

“Spencer Pratt is amazing,” she told mtvnews.com. “I’d love to get him on my album. He sings, he raps — he does everything.”

Justin Timberlake isn’t the only one who plans to shift his musical style and take a shot at alternative rock. Lil’ Wayne, who once set out to be the best rapper alive, is now transitioning away from the hip hop genre and into the spotlight of rock and roll.

“Honestly? I don’t want to be the best rapper in the world,” Wayne told Rolling Stone in an upcoming cover story arriving on newsstands Friday. “If I have a rap album I’m dropping, then I want it to be the best rap album. But I want to be the best. Period.”

Lil’ Wayne explains that this extreme shift is taking place because the music that he needs to create in order to express himself and his lifestyle simply can’t be channeled through rap music any longer.

“The rock sh– just comes from what my life is now. I’ve grown into this person,” Wayne told the magazine. “I woke up one morning and had three or four women in my bed where I not only didn’t know their last names, I didn’t know the beginning letter of their first names. All I know is, they’re the most beautiful women in the world, and I was in my own place, in whatever city I was in. And I could have thrown a dart at the map, and I’d probably have a place there too. I knew my driver was waiting downstairs for me…I smelled food in the kitchen and I knew it was my chef. Then I look on my phone and see a message and know it’s from a popular woman everyone knows. And when I went in the studio that night, I couldn’t just rap.”

Two songs have surfaced from Lil’ Wayne’s much anticipated rock alums. The single “Prom Queen” and a song that appeared online called “Hot Revolver” are said to have heavy guitar riffs and an emo feel.

It seems that everyone is dogging on Lindsay Lohan these days. In an attempt to save her dwindling career and make some cash to pay for her expensive taste and lifestyle, Lohan has been reported to have expressed desire to become a model.
Since the actress has been out of work since her last flick, I Know Who Killed Me, she has been reportedly trying to score acting gigs with little success. Sources report that she has been checking out modeling agencies like IMG to see if they would take her on and give her work.

Model and actor Tyson Beckford is among those who make modeling look easy, but he reveals that standing in front of a camera is anything but easy. Beckford attended a Make Me A Supermodel bash Tuesday in NYC and told usmagazine.com that Lohan lacks the focus it takes to succeed as a supermodel.
“She has the partying part down right. But I don’t think she’s got the focus. I mean, it requires a lot of focus and a lot of people think they can do it, but they really find that it’s a lot harder.”

Ben Folds Educates

Singer Ben Folds decided to work on a new musical project that is for the kids and by the kids, evidently. It seems as though Folds set out to invite college students to sing a capella versions of his songs. Ben Folds will present his project entitled; University A Capella! on April 28th, released through Epic Records.

Folds, his wife and engineer Joe Costa traveled to several schools across the U.S. and recorded the tracks. When word got out of the project, Folds received 250 video entries on YouTube, according to chartattack.com. Folds then picked 15 candidates to record the tracks based on the video submissions.

“Our method of recording and the production concept was inspired by National Geographic field recordings and old ’70s Nonesuch Records field recordings of native music of different cultures,” Folds said in a MySpace blog post.

“Simple live recordings, documents of music being made in real time that capture the inimitable thumbprint of a culture as it is in motion.”

Student photographers and videographers were also invited to document the recordings.

Limp Bizkit Talk Unicorns and Rainbows

As reported last week, Fred Durst and band mate Wes Borland have made peace over a former dispute and have made plans to reunite their band and go on tour in the upcoming year.

As the band is infamous for coming up with unique names for songs and albums such as Chocolate Starfish and The Hot Dog Flavored Water, they have christened their upcoming tour Unicorns N’ Rainbows.

The tour is set to kick off in Riga, Latvia on May 20 and includes various European festivals before ending in Paris, France on July 5, according to chartattack.com. No North American dates have been announced yet, but sources say that they will have dates later this year.

The band is also reported to be releasing another album since 2005’s The Unquestionable Truth, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Twilight Vampire Story Is Real?

It seems like everyone has been bitten with the Vampire craze since the popular teenage story of a family of Vampires attending a U.S. high school hit the theatres earlier this year. Now, there have been rumors surfacing that a Boston high school truly has resident Vampires and they are roaming the school and posing a threat to other students.

On Wednesday, Police were called to Boston Latin School to aid in their Vampire situation, MTVnews.com reports. The building is nearly 400 years old, making it a perfect candidate to house the gothic and gory old tales of Vampires.

“I seek your cooperation in redirecting your energy toward the learning objectives of the day. Please do not sensationalize or discuss these rumors,” pleaded the school’s headmaster, Lynne Mooney Teta, in a notice sent to faculty, students and parents on Thursday (March 26) addressing “rumors involving ‘vampires.’ ”

“I’m not sure whether [the supposed vampires] were among the student body or whether they were inhabiting the old corners and crevices of the building,” Officer Eddy Chrispin, a Boston Police spokesman, said after police went to the school Wednesday. “We did go over there and speak to some of the students and quelled the rumors that were going and kind of told them the effect those rumors could have on the rest of the student population.”

Winehouse Makes a Comeback

After legal woes, drug troubles and being bumped from her performance slot at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Winehouse has a plan of action to get her back on track.

According to chartattck.com, Winehouse has reportedly spent 35,000 British pounds on a new beauty regime, 10,000 pounds on new gym equipment, 20,000 on designer clothes and 5,000 on beauty treatments.

It is being reported that Winehouse plans to win back the affections of her former flame, Blake Fielder-Civil, even though he began filing divorce papers against Winehouse in January.

While Winehouse works on re-igniting the flame between her and her former love, Producer Mark Ronson has hopped on board to help the troubled star resurrect her music career.

Ronson; who at one time vowed not to work with Winehouse again until she got her drug issues straightened out, has now agreed to produce Amy’s new projects according to chartattack.com.

Rumors are swirling that Winehouse’s new sound echoes with dark lyrics and more of a reggae feel.

Lohan’s Career Woes

It seems that Lindsay Lohan’s career has taken a very public nosedive in the last year and now within recent weeks, the starlet can no longer ignore it.

In many interviews over the last few weeks, including one with Nylon magazine, Lindsay comments on her failing career and her declining bank account.

“Oh my God, I’m not working,” she told Nylon magazine. “And I have a house to pay for now. … And yes, the Web sites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hurt my career; they’re like the burn books of Hollywood.”

Not only is Lohan experiencing difficulty landing leading roles, but the roles in which she has landed are reported to be going straight to cable. MTVnews.com reports that a movie in which Lindsay shot last summer will we headed straight to basic cable in July.

The movie, which will make its debut on ABC Family, is called “Labour Pains,” in which Lindsay stars as a woman who must pretend she is pregnant in order to keep her job.

Green Day’s Political Project

Fans across the globe know that Green Day does not ignore the American political atmosphere as the band writes music with a message and makes sure their listeners stay involved.

Now, Billie Armstrong has told Rolling Stone Magazine that the band’s eighth studio album entitled “21st Century Breakdown” will be another political album.

“A lot of people were born into an unlucky time, the era of George W. Bush,” Armstrong told the magazine. “There is an optimism now with Obama… be aware. Don’t look at this guy as the answer to our prayers. You still need to be involved.”

The politically inspired album is the first work we see from Green Day since their 2004 rock opera, reports chartattack.com, and this album will be a story about a young couple split into three acts.

Fans can expect the album to be in stores in May and the release of a Green Day box set will follow on July 21st.
