Fan groups are major supporters of a particular show, play, book, or actor, and the success of any of the latter is usually due to awesome fangroups. Really, fan groups are what make famous people, famous! There are so many awesome fan groups out there, and they all have their own name, with some more creative than others.
But sometimes, it’s hard to keep track so here’s a handy list for most (not all) fandom names. Make sure to print off some copies for your teachers and parents, so at least they know what you’re talking about all the time.
Help us out and send in some of your favourite fan-group monikers! We’ll continue to add to entries to our list when we discover more!

Prom dress shopping is easily one of the most stressful, aggravating things any girl will have to do in their lifetime (asides from wedding planning. Apparently, choosing cake is a nightmare—sounds delicious to me). From having to try on what feel like millions of dresses to the battling over prices with your parents, not to mention the constant disappointment of when yet another dress doesn’t fit you properly, is enough to drive someone mad.
It really doesn’t help when the other half of the graduating class are buying custom dresses or dresses right off the runway—yes, that happens. Prom dress shopping is the WORST.
There’s only so many times you can scan the same store, and there is no shaking that feeling that “this isn’t THE dress.” Whoever created the idea of “THE dress” has some serious issues, because there is no way any dress will meet up to a 17-year-olds expectations. How are you supposed to know when you find “the dress?” Is it when the sales associate says, “You need to leave with that dress. It’s the dress. Take it. Take it now. For free!”? Because that does not happen.
Then there are the parents. Moms get too critical when it comes to fit and style, and dads clam up when it comes to spending some money (but it didn’t happen that time they bought a new flat screen, now did it?). C’est la vie, I suppose.
Here are the ten major reasons why prom dress shopping is just the worst
1) Most dresses come in obnoxious neon colours

[Ed. note: I know neon is trendy now but not THIS much neon. This is the bane of my existence--asides from Uggs.]
2) Dresses that don’t come in your size

3) What if someone else has the same dress?

4) Everything is bejewelled

5) Finding dresses that fit your boobs is ALWAYS impossible Read more…
Libraries are truly the most mystical, beautiful places. There are gorgeous, almost museum-like libraries all around the world—you just need to find them. Libraries can be magical, scary, an escape, modern, or relaxing.
Considering books are can become personal objects, the same can be said for libraries. Everyone has their own type of dream library they would love to visit, or have in their home.
Some of the most iconic film and television moments have occured in libraries. There’s the famous Restricted Section scene in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, there’s The Never-ending Story, and there was that episode of Doctor Who where all the library’s patron’s mysteriously disappeared.
Who doesn’t remember going to the library with your class as a kid? Whether you went to your school library or a public library, it was always a magical experience. Nothing felt better than handing back the books you already read, and going to find new ones to take home.
Libraries are magical things, and there are so many out there for people to explore.
Here are 27 libraries to suit your personal fantasies:
For those who want to feel like they are in Hogwarts: Trinity College Library (Dublin)

For those who want to feel like they are in Superhero headquarters: Belarus National Library (Minsk)

For those who want to feel like they live in the Downton Abbey estate: Abbey Library of St.Gall (Switzerland)

For those who want to feel like a lumberjack: The Bedales Memorial Library (UK)

For those want to pretend to be a dinosaur in Jurassic Park: Amsterdam Public Library (Netherlands)
Harry Styles can’t tell stories, says the most ridiculous things, and makes the greatest derp faces are just a few of the many reasons why Styles is by far, the most entertaining member of One Direction.
All the boys have their own shtick, but Harry Styles is the strangest, and in turn is the most entertaining. Niall has his Irish-ness, Zayn has his catchphrases, Liam has his Twitcam, Louis has his fashion, but Styles has his over all derp-ness and we love him for it. How could anyone forget Dirty Harry’s live show antics, such as getting pants-ed or slyly changing the lyrics around? He’s a special unicorn that has been nice enough to grace us with his presence.
Here are the 17 reasons why Harry Styles is the most entertaining member of One Direction
1) He changes lyrics

2) He Bites

3) He licks ritz boxes

4) His facial expressions

5) His dance moves
Paramore has just released the music video for “Still Into You,” and it’s just as amazing as their previous hits.
For a song thats about someone still being into their ex, this music video is very pink and peppy. Don’t get me wrong, peppy music videos are always more enjoyable to watch than angst filled music videos about heartbreak. Someone needs to tell Hayley Williams to stop being so perfect, and to leave some for the rest of us.
The lead singer tweeted about the single and it’s position on iTunes charts.
Dear @jtimberlake I’m sorry our album had to bump you down to #2 for a bit. You are still #1 in my heart. Thx for sharing the top spot. YAY!
— Hayley from Paramore (@yelyahwilliams) April 9, 2013
I woke up and thought it was all going to be a dream but we have the #1 album on @itunesmusic in a ton of countries & I am fully awake!!

“Still Into You” is the second single from their self-titled album.
We say goodbye (for now, we hope) to The Carrie Diaries as last night’s episode “Kiss Yesterday Goodbye” marks the end of a season—and what an ending it was.
The season finale was full of relationship drama, both of the romantic and friendship variety. Everyone is looking fowards to prom and their following summer vacations: Carrie and Walt hope to spend it in the city, Maggie hopes not to spend it alone, and Sebastian hopes to spend it with Carrie. Too bad we can’t always get what we want.
When a secret spills, Carrie turns her back on Maggie and Sebastian, who end up turning to one another. Needless to say, it ends in disaster. In happier news, Dorrit and her boyfriend are going strong—so strong that Dorrit thinks she’s ready to take the next step. Girl, relax! You’re are 15. Mouse and West have also hit a road block towards happy relationship-ville because they can’t go to prom together thanks to her parents’ expectations—or so she thinks.
This finale is full of twists, turns and so many Kyydshaw break ups and reconciliations that you’ll feel dizzy trying to keep up. Fingers crossed for a second season.
Sebastian and Carrie – on again/ off again

The newly separated couple can’t seem to stay away from each other.Sebastian pays Carrie a visit, kind words are exchanged, and the pair decide to give it another shot. There was a very sweet “I love you” on Carrie’s end this time around. It was probably the cutest Kyddshaw moment yet. Just when things start looking up, Carrie finds out that Sebastian was holding out on some important information on her dad. She feels betrayed, decides yet again that their relationship isn’t working out, and breaks up with Sebastian for the second time.
Carrie finds out her dad is dating
The jig is up for Tom Bradshaw after dating around the whole season. Poor Carrie has to figure out how to deal with her father’s new romantic life. Unsurprisingly, she doesn’t take it too lightly. Still (in true Carrie fashion) after rationalizing, she realizes that her dad is lonely and having someone does not mean he has forgotten about her mother or that he has completely come to terms with her death – it just means he’s moving forward.

This Japanese coat will make sure you never feel lonely again.
Designed by Japanese students, the Riajyuu Coat has answered the prayers of those singletons who love to cuddle but no one to cuddle with. For any lonely person wearing this coat, it’ll feel like they’re being hugged from behind thanks to the coat’s built-in belt. Headphones can be hooked up to the coat for the full “girlfriend” experience as it plays recordings of a female saying things that you would expect a girlfriend to say such as, “Sorry I’m late.”
“The concept of this coat is so that everyone can feel like they have a girlfriend,” says Hikaru Sugira, the hardware engineer behind the garment.
The coat is currently unavailable to consumers.
This is truly adorable, if not slightly weird. How many people out there just want someone to cuddle with? Sometimes, an Ryan Gosling body pillow just doesn’t cut it.
The university the students attend are also looking into a kissing stimulator – that is a whole other thing. These people may just change what it means to be intimate.
I guess it’s really true: there’s nothing more irresistible than a smartly dressed Dalton Warbler in their fancy blue blazers with that signature red piping.
Ann seems to agree when her girlfriend Jackie proposed to her—Glee style. With those blazers, Katy Perry, Choreography, a cappella and all, how could you say no? We know Kurt couldn’t.
This video is so moving and bound to touch some hearts, including the heart of a certain Glee cast member.
Hey @katyperry, I guess she kissed a girl… and eveyrone liked it. youtu.be/1BVFwu0H1Co

This proposal kind of makes you want to re-live that moment when Kurt and Blaine met, and when the Warbler won Kurt over with some Katy Perry music. D’awww…

Sassiest parent of the year goes to the father behind the brilliant Tumblr, ReasonsMySonIsCrying.
Kids cry and scream for so many reasons, but sometimes they throw tantrums for literally no reason other than just because they can. This father’s child seems to cry over really random things. At least he has a sense of humour as he comically acknowledges the reasons behind his son’s tears.
This is definitely a good outlet for parental frustrations with their constantly crying babies. It definitely has therapeutic qualities. Beyond that, it makes for a unique blog. However, you do feel kind of guilty laughing because, well, you’re laughing at the kid’s pain—and the dad’s for that matter.
This blog just goes to show the pressures of being a parent, and what a tough life kids lead.

Andrew Lloyd Webber (the man behind Cats and Phantom of the Opera) plans to bring the 2003 film School of Rock to the stage, according to an interview he did on the CBC radio show, Q.
He said that while there are opportunities for his own songs in the musical, the film already has some great songs that will work well on stage.
With the right casting and perfectly hysterical musical performances, this has the potential to be an amazing show. This is unlike anything Webber has ever taken on, but I have a sneaking feeling Webber will find success in this totally different brand of show.
Some might have reservations of an iconic theatre composer taking on a modern piece, but he has the experience and knowledge to put into this project.
HERE’S 5 REASONS WHY WE’RE EXCITED FOR THE SCHOOL OF ROCK MUSICAL
1) Finding out who gets to play this kid

2) This monologue will make a great ballad
3) Seeing the movies performances as over the top musical numbers
4) Hearing the movies most quotable lines on stage

5) Jack Black can sing, therefore this should be his Broadway debut 3:12 mark
Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith has finally released the music video for his single “Shakespeare,” a song that came out last summer. The 14-year old’s creative new music video was directed by his good friend and former Hannah Montana star Moises Arias.
Smith was pretty excited about the music video’s release as he counted the hours down on Twitter with his fans.
Smith can rap better than stars double his age. The Smith family just might be the most musical family in Hollywood.
WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO BELOW:
Spencer Hastings may have a classic style and proper manners, but there is a lot going on in the girl’s head – and heart. You can bet the music on Hastings’ iPod is a cross between indie and pop. She definitely has happy songs for when life is great, and songs full of angst for when she is scared, worried, or plotting.
Spencer’s Playlist from BwayBritt on 8tracks Radio.
Hunter Hayes, the country cutie, has made country music cool again. Of course I still enjoyed it before it was cool, but it’s nice to know its socially acceptable again to like country.
His new single “I Want Crazy” is just a reminder of why people like him so much. Like Hayes, the song is cute, simple, and just really easy to love.
“I Want Crazy” is a single from his upcoming album Encore. You can preorder the album now on iTunes.
After having her new single leaked, Selena Gomez finally officially debuted her new track on Ryan Seacrest’s website on Saturday—two days earlier than it was set to be released, and eight days before she performs the track at the MTV Movie Awards. The Selenators even managed to crash the website when the song was released.
I have a team working to get RyanSeacrest.com back up… Selenators, u guys are in beast mode!!
— Ryan Seacrest (@RyanSeacrest) April 7, 2013
Selena Gomez wants to show us just how happy she is being single. “Come & Get It” is a new sound that we have yet to hear from the new star. It has a neat techno beat and interestingly empowering lyrics. If you thought “Love You Like a Love Song” was catchy, you will love this song. The single has already received great reception so far, and Gomez has thanked numerous fans over twitter individually, and collectively.
You guys made my day all day today. #Comeandgetitnow smarturl.it/sgiTuness1 Love you guys XOXO

Alex Russo no more, Gomez is growing up in a graceful and tasteful way. Bye bye, Bieber.
LISTEN TO “COME & GET IT” BY SELENA GOMEZ HERE:
With the sequels of Monsters Inc., Despicable Me, and Finding Nemo coming our way, it’s feels like all of our dreams are coming true.
Putting Toy Story and Shrek aside, great animated films often don’t get this treatment — or in the case of Finding Dory and Monsters University, it gets the treatment almost a decade later.
There have been great animated movies out there that have sequel potential. Didn’t you ever wanted to know what comes after the happily ever after? Or what happens after the protagonist saved the day? I personally want to know more about Princess and the Frog’s Ray and his belle, Evangeline.
Realistically, good sequels have been proven to be profitable and they would no doubt answer the prayers of so many young adults who have waited years and years for sequels of their favourite animated films as children … or as young adults.
Here are 9 Animated Movies that Deserve Sequels Below
1) Princess and the Frog

This movie has potential for a sequel because the writers wrote a great villain for the first, so I’m sure they can develop another creepy villain who has a bone to pick with Tiana or Prince Naveen. That, or a sequel about Ray and Evangeline. Plus, get Randy Newman back on board and you have a confirmed best selling soundtrack.
2) Brave

Brave might not have a plot line that could be stretched but with a character as developed as Merida, put this fiery red head in any awkward situation and it would make a great sequel.
3) Wreck It Ralph Read more…
Your prayers have been heard and answered. Pixar will release a sequel to Finding Nemo, titled Finding Dory. The voice behind our favourite blue tang fish, Ellen Degeneres, was the first to spill the beans via her Instagram this morning.
The movie has been in planning stages for a white, but Degeneres said, “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16.”
The film will reportedly revolve around Marlin and Nemo one year after the events of Finding Nemo. With Dory slated as the lead, this will be Pixar’s second ever movie to feature a female protagonist, the first being last year’s Brave.
This movie will probably attract all the young adults who have been waiting for this sequel for years. I know I’ll be standing in line hours before showtime on opening night. No shame.
Finding Dory is slated for release on November 25, 2015.
It looks like Rihanna isn’t only making a cameo in the This is the End movie, but she’s also set to appear on Chris Brown’s new album. The track “Put It Up” will appear as a duet between the singer and Brown for his upcoming album, X.
The two previously recorded “Nobody’s Business” for her seventh album, Apologetic.
Brown told MTV that he wanted a change from the same “four-on-the-floor” pop. He says that people expect that from them, so he wanted to change it up and have Rihanna sing a genre that people have not heard her tackle before. He said “I wanted to do an R&B record,” something he says is different for her. Brown says their new duet “Put it Up” is “youthful and at the same time sexy.” He also teased at a possible Chris Brown and Rihanna album.
Whatever people say about this duo clearly has little effect on them, as they continue to collaborate and make news by doing so. Nevertheless, it should be interesting to see their sounds come together, and see how their collaboration effects their respective records.
X is set to drop this summer.
In Ryan Murphy’s Twitter Q&A session yesterday, the Glee creator spilled that the show will be doing a tribute episode to Stevie Wonder. Let that sink in for a second.
“I think we’re going to do a big Stevie Wonder tribute toward the end of this year, which I’ve wanted to do for four years,” he told Hollywood.com.
I have not been this excited since the Michael Jackson episode.
It has been confirmed that Harry Shum will return as Mike Chang and Kurt will have a solo number. They might even be filming this now based on Harry Shum’s tweet earlier this morning.
In my opinion, Stevie Wonder has one of the greatest discographies ever and the Glee cast will without a doubt do the iconic singer justice. The show has already done one of his songs, “Isn’t She Lovely” with Kevin McHale singing it a capella. His version was incredible, and a good indicator of whats to come.
I have been seriously contemplating what Stevie songs might be featured in the episode, and who will sing them. Of course there will be duets, solos, a group number, and at least one number that reconstructs a music video. With this knowledge, I have drafted up a possible track list for the impending episode. It’ll be interesting to if I got it right when the episode airs or when song titles start to be released.
Here are 10 songs and who should sing them in Glee’s upcoming Stevie Wonder episode
1) Signed Sealed Delivered – Kurt
Reason: Ryan Murphy confirmed that Kurt will have a solo in this episode. “Like a fool I went and stayed to long/ now I’m wondering if your love’s still strong.” There is a strong likelihood Kurt may sing this to Blaine upon their inevitable reconciliation.
2) Livin For The City – Kurt/Santana/Rachel/Mercedes
Okay so all of these characters have been living it up in the city. Kurt, Santana, and Rachel are shacked up together in NYC, and Mercedes was in LA last time we checked. Amber Riley sang this song for president Obama (with Stevie in the room) and absolutely killed it, so I hope we can re-live it.
3) You Are The Sunshine Of My Life – Finn/Rachel
Not sure how likely this is, but Lea and Cory would sound incredible singing this duet. I just really miss Finchel duets.
4) For Once in my Life – Artie
I refuse to believe that Kevin McHale, one of the most soulful singers on Glee, will not get a solo to perform in the tribute episode. We were teased with a possible Artie/Kitty story line, so maybe something good happens and Artie chooses to sing about it in true Glee fashion.
5) My Cherie Amour – Ryder/Jake/Blaine/Artie/Sam
There are only five Glee episodes left, and they seem to be an eventful five episodes. A lot seems to be happening nearing the end of Glee’s fourth season, and we know that because creator Ryan Murphy told us himself.
In a quick question and answer session on Twitter, Murphy teased a lot of what fans can expect to see happen on the show. But WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!
Murphy has done a lot of Q&A’s on twitter. He has yet to tease without pleasing, so all this brand new information is exciting. Looks like the final episodes of Glee are going to be a whirlwind of relationships, self discovery (Rachel has an upcoming audition for Funny Girl), and good music. Yep, Glee is doing what it does best – another tribute episode, and a tribute to someone definitely worth paying homage to.
Murphy has given us a little bit of insight on the future of Santana, old graduates, Klaine, and an upcoming wedding. I am a bundle of feelings right now.
Here are the 7 important things Ryan Murphy revealed
1) Santana has a hot new love interest
2) Santana has an important self discovery plot line coming up
3) Hope for Klaine in the future?
4) Scratch that…is Klaine getting married? I’m sorry, WHAT? (Ryan tweeted in a Q&A earlier this year Kurt will be married by the time he is 21) Read more…
“A First Time For Everything,” is an appropriate title for this week’s episode as it revolves around first times, specifically, Dorrit’s and Carrie’s.
Carrie is ready to take the next step with Sebastian, and she wants it all to be perfect. She plans a night out on the town for her and Sebastian but everything goes horribly wrong. She expected to say her first “I love you” and have sex for the first time, but all she ends up getting is her first heart break. Miller, Dorrit’s new boyfriend, expands her mind by giving her music and books that change the way she looks at life. He makes her feel complex and deep, so naturally Dorrit feels that she is ready to take the next step with him.
This episode uses the launch party for Madonna’s Material Girl tour as a plot point and as you would expect, the soundtrack for this episode is exclusively Madonna and covers of her songs. Bonus: we also get a little “insight” into her famous hit, “Like a Virgin.”
Here are the 10 things you missed on last nights Carrie Diaries
1) Sebastian says I love you

Sebastian says “I love you,” to which Carrie replies with “let’s have sex.” Always the perfectionist, Carrie waits for the right moment to say it back – but it doesn’t come soon enough.
2) Mr. Bradshaw is dating

With both his daughters away, Mr., Bradshaw makes some plans of his own with his new girlfriend. The pair hit a rough patch when they fight about having sex when her son is still home (he found this out the hard way) but by the end of the episode the issue is resolved. We’re still waiting for the girls to find out he is dating because Mr. Bradshaw’s sleeping around is getting predictable.
3) Carrie in yellow

I generally hate yellow because, let’s be honest, who looks good in it? Apparently, AnnaSophia Robb does. This outfit stood out the most to me this episode amongst all the sparkly madonna-esque outfits.
4) “Material Girl” launch party
