(andPOP) - Former 'N SYNC star J.C. CHASEZ is working with the enemy after signing on to write tracks for the BACKSTREET BOYS.

Back in the day, the two boy bands were hot chart rivals, but now Chasez is
helping his former foes hit the high notes again.

Chasez, who recently parted ways with record label Jive, is collaborating
with the Backstreet Boys on new song Treat Me Right for their upcoming album, Unbreakable.

The pop star is writing the new track with Nick Carter and A.J. McLean, who
calls the former 'N Sync star "one of the most talented songwriters I have ever
worked with." (KL/ITC/LJ)
