Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Hip-hop stars THE GAME and TIMBALAND are being sued by an Indian music and film company, who allege the pair sampled one of their songs without permission.
Saregama India Ltd has filed a copyright infringement suit against Interscope, Universal Music Group, Aftermath Entertainment, G-Unit Records, Czar Entertainment, Timbaland's Virginia Beach Music and The Game's Black Wall Street in Manhattan Federal Court, New York, according to AllHipHop.com.
The company claims one of its songs was used in The Game's track Put You On The Game - which was produced by Timbaland - from his 2005 album The Documentary.
Saregama India own almost 50 per cent of all the music recorded in the Asian country and in 2002 filed a lawsuit against Dr. Dre for illegally sampling Indian artist Lata Mangeshkar's voice on Truth Hurts' hit song Addictive.
