Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Sony today announced that WarHawk 3 will make it's North American debut today, exclusively for the Playstation 3 console. The game is available in stores on Blu-ray Disc and via download through the Playstation Network.
"Warhawk’s furious action-combat gameplay and brilliantly detailed landscapes demonstrate PS3’s many capabilities,” said Jeff Reese, director, software marketing, SCEA. “Players will move seamlessly from the fierce aerial dogfights to the heated armed assaults and vehicular attacks on the ground. Warhawk is an exhilarating addition to the PS3 line-up this fall."
WarHawk 3 is a remake of the original Playstation game, developed by Incognito Entertainment Inc, creators of other hits such as Twisted Medal and War of the Monsters. WarHawk 3 is a multi-player only game, allowing up to 32 players to compete online and offline against eachother.
The game also features QuickSplit technology for 4 players to play simultaneously on a single console in either Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and a new game mode only available on WarHawk called Zone Mode. Full stats and rankings are kept for online game play.
The game is available today for CAD$42.99 as a downloadable game and for CAD$69.99 on disc. The retail version ships with a Jabra bluetooth headset.
