(andPOP) - The BACKSTREET BOYS have confirmed they're forging ahead with new album plans, despite the departure of KEVIN RICHARDSON.

The new dad quit the boy band last year (06), but his bandmates intend to continue without him and will release a new album in late October (07).

The group will release ballad Inconsolable - their first song without Richardson - in August (07). Richardson will not be replaced in the band's line-up. (KL/BB/MT)
