(andPOP) - Two actors from the short-lived but critically-acclaimed Fox show Arrested Development will both appear in the "Juno," a film directed by Jason Reitman.

Michael Cera, who played George Michael, and Jason Bateman, who played his father Michael Bluth, are set to star in the film, about a young woman's unplanned pregnancy.

But the two actors won't actually appear in any scenes together when the movie is released later this year.

"Jason had to come to set on one of Michael's days just to say hello to him because otherwise they wouldn't have seen each other," Reitman told andPOP.

Reitman was in Toronto to help induct his father, acclaimed producer and director Ivan Reitman, into Canada's Walk of Fame.

"I've spent my whole childhood kind of scampering down the red carpet behind him watching him do interviews and the idea that I'm here presenting him with this honour is out of this world," said the younger Reitman.

"My father's my hero," he added. "He's taught me to be the storyteller that I am and he's taught me to be myself."

Jason Reitman's next project will be directing Banzai Shadowhands, which is being written by Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute on The Office.

"He plays a ninja. It's going to be Midnight Cowboy meets Crouching Tiger."
