(andPOP) - KELLY CLARKSON is laughing off reports her new album has been scrapped by releasing it in July - on schedule.
A British tabloid claimed label bosses at RCA and Sony BMG were far from impressed with the American Idol star's My December album - and told the singer to get back in the studio and re-record tracks.
But its seems someone misinterpreted executives' delight with the new release - it will hit stores on July 24, as scheduled.
The first single from the album, Never Again, debuted at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 last week.
