(andPOP) - Reports that MADONNA jetted off to Malawi on Wednesday night appear premature - she's hard at work on her new album with Justin Timberlake.

The actress was spotted in her adopted London, where she is recording with the SexyBack singer/songwriter and producer Timbaland, yesterday.

The confusion seems to stem from confirmation that Madonna is planning a trip back to Africa, where her adopted son David comes from, "soon."

But her publicist, Liz Rosenberg, insists the pop superstar has musical matters to deal with before making her trip.

She says, "Madonna has been in a recording studio in London with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland.

"She is going to Malawi soon... It's a follow up visit as she's overseeing the building of a children's health care centre as part of Raising Malawi's efforts in that country."

British newspaper The Sun today (13Apr) reports the pop star is planning to adopt a three year girl called Grace when she finally heads to Malawi. However Rosenberg has denied the claims, insisting, "There are no plans for another adoption."
