- NEW YORK (Billboard) - Rapper Snoop Dogg and R&B singer/model Tyrese will appear on the forthcoming soundtrack to John Singleton's new film "Baby Boy," in addition to roles in the film itself. "Baby Boy," due June 29, is a coming-of-age drama set in the same inner-city Los Angeles neighborhood that provided the setting for Singleton's debut film, 1991's "Boyz 'N The Hood." Tyrese will star in "Baby Boy" and also contribute vocals to "Just a Baby Boy," the lead track from the movie's soundtrack, due June 12. Co-star Snoop Dogg and newcomer Mr. Tan also appear on the track, which was produced by Battle Cat (Brian McKnight, Faith Evans, Lucy Pearl).
