Carrie Underwood Visits American Troops

(andPOP) - So it probably wasn't an uber sexy performance, a la Jennifer Lopez or Jessica Simpson, but the American troops no doubt appreciated a visit from their American Idol Carrie Underwood.

Carrie, who has become something of a country music superstar since winning the singing competition, appeared before hundreds of service members at Camp Arifjan’s Combined Operations and Intelligence Center in Kuwait.

"Thanks for giving me such a warm welcome," said Underwood to the fans. "We’re happy to be able to come here and spread some holiday cheer."

She signed autographed photos and CDs for the American troops, which they will supposedly be passing on to their young children back in the States. Expect a couple of them to snuggle up to a Carrie Underwood 8x10 in the next weeks, though.
