Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Singer Mariah Carey is threatening to take porn star Mary Carey to court. The adult movie actress is attempting to trademark her stage name.
According to the BBC, Mariah thinks that fans may mix up the two women if the trademark request is successful -- an admission that doesn't reflect very highly on herself.
Mary (real name: Mary Cook) isn't planning on backing down, however.
"I'm ready to battle Mariah over this because I've been Mary Carey for a long time," she said. "It's kind of funny because I'm a porn star and I've been being myself for a long time."
The actress has been using the stage name since 2002, and even ran for governor in California against Arnold Schwarzenegger.
