Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Canadian rockband Nickelback were the only Canuks to take home an award at the American Music Awards on Tuesday.
Taking to the stage, Jesus, er, Chad Kroeger, admitted the developed world wasn't the only collective body to be surprised by the best pop/rock album win.
"This is extremely unexpected," said the Kroegs. "We just kinda showed up because we were supposed to give one of these away tonight.
"We thought for sure the Chilies were gonna just like clean house tonight."
Nickelback's CD, All The Right Reasons, was released in October 2005 and has been on the Billboard 200 for 58 weeks, peaking at No.1, baby!
The single "Far Away" still sits in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 at number 15. It's been on that chart for 18 weeks, peaking at number eight.
