Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Well, we have our final two competitors on "Canadian Idol."
After flying to New York, the final three worked with Tony Bennett and performed standards on Monday's show.
Bennett then took the stage on the results show last night, which according to CTV, was the first time he worked with an Idol franchise anywhere in the world.
Tyler Lewis was the one who was sent home, despite receiving accolades from the judges for his performances of "I'm Just a Gigalo" and "It Had to Be You" on Monday night.
"You come from a town of 400 people or so (but) today you are a star to millions of Canadians. Your appeal has grown each and every week that you've been here, and no more so than last night when you opened up and showed us just who Tyler Lewis is," host Ben Mulroney told the singer after elimination.
Tyler even received praise from the toughest judge – Zack Werner.
"You were the star of the show, hands down, man," said Werner, referencing the success of the Top 3 competitor in 2004. "The fact is, in great Hedley/Jacob Hoggard tradition, coming third can be a rocket to success," he told Tyler.
The elimination of Tyler means the final two facing off will be Eva Avila, of Quebec, and Craig Sharpe, of Newfoundland, will be facing off in the finale, which airs Monday night on CTV.
