(andPOP) - Rapper Talib Kweli is set to release his new album, “Ear Drum,” later this year.

“Ear Drum,” a follow up album to “Beautiful Struggle,” will be the first album from Kweli’s Blacksmith label, distributed by Warner Bros. Kweli, 30, has taken his sixth album in a revolutionary direction with many surprise guests from Hi-Tek to Pimp C.

Kweli’s new album is all about putting out a powerful message through good body moving music.

“The vast majority of my subject matter focuses on black self-love, black self esteem, black self-worth. That translates to other communities because if you're a human being, it doesn't matter what color you're talking about. You've been through some sort of struggle and you can apply it to your own life,” said Kweli, reports Billboard.

His Blacksmith label has been doing very well thanks to the talented artists like Jean Grae and Strong Arm Steady.

“I don’t care what kind of music you do. Artists can’t be in no boxes; we can’t have limitations. I tried to heighten my whole career like that,” said Kweli, reports AllHipHop.com.

“Ear Drum” is set to release on October 10. Kweli is currently on the road performing.
