Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - The 2006 Teen Choice Awards aired last night on Fox, and despite not being up for any of the hardware, it seems K-Fed was the big winner of the night, the Associated Press reports.
Yes Mr. Britney Spears had his television debut on the awards show, and the critics aren't too critical. In fact it seems like they like him, they really like him!
But despite K-Fed's triumphs, there were awards handed out. Here is a summary of the winners.
Best action adventure movie and summer movie, action/adventure went to "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," Johnny Depp also took home the award for best actor, drama/action adventure, and the film's fight scene between Will Turner and Commodore won for best rumble.
It probably doesn't mean as much as her Oscar, but Reese Witherspoon took home the award for best actress, drama/action adventure for her work in "Walk the Line."
Johnny Depp also won best actor for comedy for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Jessica Simpson won for break out female (no I am not making that up) for her role in "Dukes of Hazzard."
They may not be engaged, but Vaughniston won the award for best onscreen chemistry for "The Break-Up," and Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock won for best lip lock in "The Lake House."
In the television category, "High School Musical" cleaned up winning not only best comedy/musical, but the breakout star went to Zac Efron, and the television movie also won best chemistry for Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Zac Efron.
"American Idol" won for best reality show, and "So You Think You Can Dance" won best summer show and breakout show.
Best actress, drama/action adventure went to Rachel Bilson for "The O.C.", while its ex-star Mischa Barton won best actress.
best actor, comedy went to Wilmer Valderrama for "That '70s Show." Ashton Kutcher was named best personality for "Punk'd."
Fall Out Boy won best single for "Dance, Dance," as well as best rock track and best rock group.
Rihanna took home the award for best R 'N' B artist and breakout female. While Jessica Simpson's ex, Nick Lachey, took home the award for best love song for "What's Left of Me."
Canada's Nelly Furtado took home three awards: for best R&B/hip-hop track; song of the summer; and the V Cast Music artist for her smash "Promiscuous."
And then there were the "other" awards: hottie female went to Jessica Alba, while hottie male went to Orlando Bloom. Adam Sandler took home the award for best comedian.
The red carpet fashion icon, female award went to Jessica Alba; while Nick Lachey won the red carpet fashion icon, male. Choice grill went to Brooke Hogan. Best action sports athlete, male went to Shaun White.
