Mel Gibson Arrested for DUI

(andPOP) - Mel Gibson was arrested for DUI earlier this morning, according to E! Online.

The actor was pulled over at 2:36 a.m., while driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles. The actor paid a $5,000 bail fee to get out of jail.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department did not comment on the arrest, except to say that the matter was still under investigation.

This is the second time the actor has been arrested for DUI, the first time was in Toronto in 1984. After that arrest, it was widely reported that Gibson had begun attending Alcoholic Anonymous meetings.
