Assault Charges Against Eminem Dropped

(andPOP) - A man, identified only as Miad J., has dropped assault charges against Eminem after claiming the rapper beat him up in the bathroom of a Detroit strip club.

As andPOP reported, Miad told police last week that Eminem hit him several times after an argument with one of his bodyguards.

"Eminem got done and boom, he started swinging," Miad told Detroit TV station WXYZ. "I was just minding my own business, taking a leak."

Reuters reports that Detroit Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Eren Stephens Bell said they had received no word on why the charges were dropped.

Had the assault charges been carried through, it would've been the first time Eminem has been tangled up with the police since serving two years of probation on concealed weapons charges from 2000.
