Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Avril Lavigne and Sum 41 lead singer Deryck Whibley have tied the knot.
According to Canadian Press, the couple were married in front of just over 100 guests at a private mansion in California on Saturday (July 15).
"It was the biggest moment of my life," Lavigne told Entertainment Tonight Canada in a phone interview the day after the nuptials.
According to CP, Lavigne wore a white gown, and a source told the news service the ceremony was "short" and "classy ... with the sound of helicopters droning overhead carrying photographers trying to get a shot of the newlyweds."
The couple has been together for two years, and has been engaged for just over a year. Lavigne told ET Canada that putting on her wedding dress was a little nerve racking.
"I'm used to going on stage and stuff, but this was totally different...I felt a little nervous. It was more exciting. It was the biggest moment of my life. I had my mom, my sister and my grandma come in and help me put my dress on. I wanted it to be very traditional."
