Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Eminem is returning to the big screen following treatment for addiction to sleeping pills and the death of Proof, his best friend. The Detroit rapper is set to star in an upcoming film remake of the 1950s TV drama "Have Gun - Will Travel," according to Variety.
In the film, his first since 2002's semi-autobiographical "8 Mile," Eminem won't be connected to his musical persona in any way.
The original TV show followed professional gun-for-hire Paladin, played by Richard Boone, in San Francisco. The show's concept will be updated to modern times for the film, with Eminem playing a bounty hunter. The film will possibly be based in Detroit.
No definite timetable for the movie's production or release has been announced.
