Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Offbeat kid's show "Pee-wee's Playhouse" is returning to the small screen 15 years after signing off. On Tuesday, the Cartoon Network announced that it is adding the Emmy-winning program to its late-night Adult Swim lineup, reports E! Online.
Beginning July 10, the network will air all 45 original episodes of the program, which features Paul Reubens as the title character. A long list of celebrities, including Phil Hartman, Laurence Fishburne, Natasha Lyonne and Benicio Del Toro, appear in secondary roles.
The show originally premiered on CBS in 1986, following the success of Tim Burton's 1985 feature-length directorial debut, "Pee-wee's Big Adventure."
The show came crashing down in 1991, after Reubens was arrested for indecently exposing himself in a Florida porn theatre.
