Add the andPOP Facebook Application(andPOP) - Rod Stewart?s daughter, Kimberly, has ended her engagement to Laguna Beach?s Talan Torriero, reports the Associated Press.
"It was just too soon to enter into a lifelong commitment," their representatives said in a joint statement. "It is better to have a brief engagement than a short marriage. The couple continue to share their time together and remain open to whatever the future may hold."
The 26-year-old socialite and 19-year-old MTV reality show star got engaged earlier this month. They remain friends, according to Stewart?s representative, Elliot Mintz.
Stewart is Paris Hilton?s close friend and was once rumoured to be a replacement for Nicole Richie on Fox?s cancelled reality show, The Simple Life.
Torriero is now attempting to start a music career.
