(andPOP) - Jessica Simpson was dumped by her publicist of two years, Brad Cafarelli.

Yahoo News has reported that Cafarelli was tired of dealing with Simpson's ever present creepy-dad, Joe Simpson.

"Cafarelli would rather devote his time to his clients that don't need a constant father-figure," Yahoo says -- perhaps other clients like Kate Hudson or Cameron Diaz.

Yahoo also reports that the deal breaker for Cafarelli was dealing with the endless divorce rumours about Simpson and singer Nick Lachey.

"We hear Cafarelli's final straw was utter exhaustion, the sort that comes from pretending, for the benefit of the press, that Simpson's marriage to ... Lachey isn't a total sham. Much like the rest of us, Cafarelli had had enough," Yahoo says.
