(andPOP) - Coldplay has tapped famed photographer and director Anton Corbijn to direct their next music video, reports MTV.

The Dutch filmmaker, who has created memorable clips for Depeche Mode (?Enjoy the Silence?), Nirvana (?Heart Shaped Box") and The Killers (?All These Things That I?ve Done?), was approached by the band to helm the video for their forthcoming single ?Talk.?

?I have turned down a few previous requests from Coldplay to do a script for their songs, but I liked this song and had an idea straightaway, so that was enough for me to go on,? Corbijn told MTV.

?It is always the idea and the song that counts, not the size of the band.?

While the details of the video have been kept under wraps, the director did say that ?it is black and white, and slightly strange (and) ... it will have a certain B-movie feel to it.?

The video for ?Talk? will be shot in London during the first week of November, in between Coldplay?s gigs in Oslo, Norway and Stockholm, Sweden.
